I have all the latest patches (except todays major release)
and I have been downloading the patch for 7 hours (i am in the UK on an 8mb link)
I am currently 45% done.
Watch TV, read a book (a long one) but don't lose faith in that little red bar, apparently it is a bit quicker after about 50% but i wont know i will be sleeping!
No problem...I've been wanting to watch 1984 again for a while, so tonight is as good as any I suppose...
Thanks for the reply, I haven't had the time to visit the forums or search around...I was just wanting to make sure I did not miss on a 3rd party patcher or if there was a work around or something like that...
see you guys in a day or say as a true newbie 1st level critter.
I have spent about, maybe an hour tops the last few days looking around at L2 stuff...
I'm looking for a class that can solo and just chill...not too concerned about "OMG REACHING END GAME IN 3 MONTHS OMGOMGOMG!"...
Im thinking about starting with an DE fighter...
Info seems hard to come by though...I haven't really found a basic how the game works, goals per tier, etc post yet...
First question...why do folks list their levels as "7x, 6x"? And people talk about subbing their character, and I havent really figured out what that is either?
7x means 70+ and 6x means 60+
When you hit 75, you can do a quest that will allow you to make a sub class (same toon can pick another class to play on the same character). Your sub class will start at lvl 40. Since you are new to the game I wouldn't worry about subbing for a while, you will learn as you go along :D
1. Do every newbie quest in DE Village if you go DE
2. Do the lvl 2 quest in Kamael village from guard cant remember her name but its real easy and gives you full newbie armor
3. If your poor and want to save cash for your next grade of armor/weapons get common
4. Once your in D grade start getting into Kamalokas - they will level you fast and they have a good drop rate of gear/Enchants
Now to your questions people list there toons as 7x or 6x because some people have a need to not let others know incase an enemy is on the boards theyll know exactly what skills you have if they know your level.
The teirs in this game are:
NG - No Grade lvl 1-19
D - D Grade lvl 20-39 *Common gear can get you through this level really easy*
C - C Grade lvl 40-51
B - B Grade lvl 52-60
A - A grade lvl 61-75
S - S grade lvl 76-79
S80 - S Grade lvl 80-81
S82 - S Grade lvl 82-83
S84 - S Grade lvl 84-85
NP and by newbie quest just to clarify i meant talk to the newbie guide and he will direct you to a quest do the quest then go back to the newbie guide he will give another and so on
Spent the night downloading and installing and patching...
Come home today...another major patch I guess? And the patcher isn't really moving.
How long should I let the patcher run? or should I just not try to patch for a while?
I have played tons of MMOs and just wanted to see a game that I missed out on.
Is there a secondary source of the patch?
You're about 5 years too late as far as starting this game is concerned. This should be its final run. I anticipate this game dying before the end of the year. Don't get too attached.

Would you be willing to bet money on that assumption?
Honestly, the game is only as strong as its fan base. I don't see this game fading out anytime soon.
