Today I got Adventurer Hat (EVENT) and I want ask u that this hat is like black half mask ?
I mean we cant drop/trade it but I will have it for ever or it will disapear at next maintance ?
and, no, event hats do not disappear after the event is over. these items are not shadow items either, so youll have them as long as you dont delete them.

I type /mybirthday, and it says their birthday (For example, my oldest char on Aria is my Phantom Summoner, and she was "born" on May 17th 2006. But what is it with those present things and what is their connection to /mybirthday?

not entirely sure, but the posters in this thread are telling us about event rewards from letters, looks like.
you have to go to a Gatekeeper to get your gift but i dunno what the link is at the Gatekeeper that is different... maybe hidden under Quest?
It kind up sux that it has to be in the same day that is your toon birthday when you can claim the gift, not before not after, otherwise you will have to wait another year for it..
My main toon was created in 4/24/2004, and since Gracia was lunch on 28, I pretty much missed my gift on that toon.
However I have 4 toons in a row waiting to get their gifts this month :).
I recommend everybody to type /mybirthday and follow up that date, otherwise you may miss your gift and have to wait a year for it.
your j/k? Omg a first AQ ring from event confirmed? It is tradable right? or?AQ ring is definatly popping more often in this event. On Devianne there are 4 for sale in Giran and we have 2 clannies that have gotten one. Also element stones are popping like crasy to I have 10 wind stones 4 Divine and 6 fire from event so far.
The buff you get is definitely **** though ... for 12 hours killing mobs actually increases your vitality, it's good for hellbound ... you can basically exp with full vitality for 12+ hours http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/6315/cake.jpg
It's a one time buff, 12 hours and no more. You get it from the clown npc when you collect your gift, it's not linked to the hat or whatever
and it disappears if you die
It's not bad ... I got about 2 hours left in the buff and I m almost 20% up at 83. It's pretty great actually, if you got friends and clannies that will help you make the most of it
