I would like to know the official response to those who were created in the Beta period.
I missed my birthday because I was born before the 28th and it would be sad if I have to wait almost untill I am SIX to see my first birthday present.
It feels like being punished for helping this game start off.
I do not even know if this feature will be permanent or is event related, if the latter it means my 2 over 5 year old chars get kind of cheated out of a sweet birthday present.
Im not a beta character, but when I saw the birthday thing and went to the gk, it had no link. Now there is a link, and it says I have to wait until next year... april 28. it sort of sucks :(
it makes me wonder if they even realized beta players were 'born' before their chosen 5 year mark or if this update got delayed.
if this update got delayed? are you serious? Korea has had this update for over 6 months. Of course it was "delayed".
Give people something new, for free and...

I'm sure if these people had gotten their prize they wouldn't be complaining. Why introduce a system that rewards players for each year they have been alive a few days after the 5th year anniversary? Ncsoft is basically punishing their oldest and most deticated players. That is out right sick.

My character that is only a year old got it, So no i dont think its because "you're special" your chars birthday was just at a bad time when they added in this feature

I get the notice about 5 years every time I log on and/or switch to my oldest character.
So made a petition on this questioning it as a bug that got escalated to an email support response and 3 days later it has been left hanging and unresponded.

It's a Big thing when you log on that tells you so you won't miss it.
My first 3 toons have 2 wait till next year but my main current main was made after beta
For those that obviously think I have no right to bring up this topic.
I DO think I have a right to ask if NCSoft to consider this situation.
I think reaching the age if 5 years in this game IS special.
And then to miss out on your birthday DOES sting a bit.
For all that were born after this and certainly YEARS after this it is maybe easy to say "quit whining"
But consider this ...
We helped the game doing the beta thing ... and now it backfires on me.
How many of you "quit whining" folk have to wait till you are SIX YEARS OLD to recieve your first birthday present.
No one has confirmed yet that this is a permanent feature.
So maybe it is not only us Beta people who will missout.
It is just a game.... a month ago there was nothing for your birthday, be it 1 year or 29 years. Deep down in your heart you know what greatness you have achieved and that is all the recognition you need to keep going little engine. Hell you have played for 5 years with out needing someone rubbing your belly and putting a happy birthday hat on your head.
So, yeah get over it. Wait, better yet quit this game, throw all your equipment in Giran square and show them NCNA guys you won't be treated like this!!!

And looking at the spirit in which this event was made ... I think I do qualify for a birthday and I dared to raise this particular situation to NCSoft.

I agree with Rosalina... the gifts should really be automatically placed in our inventories, or at least in our private warehouse. The latter was done with our C1 - C4 gifts, so the simple tech does exist. Like the other pre-launch players, I feel a bit ripped off, and it seems really unfair that you absolutely have to be aware of each characters birthday in order to take advantage of the gift.

imo it would be nice if they did something for the beta players that are still active but yeah can't really force NC Soft to fix the script to make it so that checks to see "if birthday <= todays date and gift hand out date is null" which would show that the char is eligible for the gift..
My character's birthday is 03/30/2004.
I helped a lot during beta, and I am still active on 2 accounts.
I petitioned about the birthday gift, it was escalated, and then I received this by mail:
Greetings
The Birthday benefits where enabled in April, your birthday is in March. You will need to log in to the game on the exact day of your character creation. Now that this feature has been activated you will need to wait until your actual birthday to gain your rewards. Note you will not receive any rewards for birthdays which occurred before this feature was enabled.
I also wish you could get your cake up to 7 days AFTER your birthday. I can't play L2 everyday and sometimes circumstances prevent being able to play L2, for example a power outtage, internet/router problems (broken internet undersea cables happen especially since NA has a global playerbase), computer decides to take a vacation that day... and I'm sure many more.
