WC or OL for all new buffs

Orc Classes Started Last reply 7 posts
Hello fellow Orcs,

I have a TH dagger and a SH nuker. I'm making a buffer account and lvl an orc shaman now about to do 2nd class changes. I see in patch notes that OL at 70+ get many combo buff and can buff group now. Would an WC or OL be able to buff both my dagger and nuker? Which buff make an WC or OL different from each other? I was told a Se+PP would be best - But I don't have the time to level up 2 more support class.

Thanks

I'm an OL, and I would go WC for a buff account. You'll get an Acumen buff with each. Why I lean to WC, its got a haste buff.

Have fun,
SE. Use Haste Pots for the TH, and Magic Haste Pots for the SH.

OL has to go too high to get complete buff set, into S Grade for nuker. WC gets buffs much later than Prophet or SE (WC gets VR3 like 8-9 levels after SE, for example).

You will still have no Recharger for either toon, and that is compulsory for getting a good XP rate on a nuker.

You don't need two support classes. Just an SE would do fine, as long as you won't mind buying the potions (can use Acumen 2 pots for the SH just fine).

If all you had were melee toons, then Prophet would be best choice. If all you had were nukers, then SE all the way.

Which is your "main" character. If you don't have time to level up two more support classes, why do you have time to level up two "main" characters? You only have to group a Prophet until level 52. 58 only if you want Greater Might/Shield 1...

Why not just level up the TH and sub SH, or vice versa?

WC is useless to an SH. Empower > Acumen. You can always get Acumen 2 from the Grocery Store for 3k. You cannot get Emp like that (can buy L2Day/Potions, but they are like 1-2M and that's not economical).

WC should be considered a DD buffer, IMO. OL is better for a nuker, but they have to be taken even higher to complete a relatively solid buff set (at least 72 for BtB/BtS Combo - that was a game changer for me :P ).
SO from what I can tell an OL get empower for nuker and WC has haste 2 for fighter is that the only buff that is different on each class regarding for my TH,nuker char?

At the moment I don''t know which to pick as my main the TH or the SH, I like both style of play. In either case it seem a SE as a buffer is best for both my main. BUt i have already an lvl 38 orc shamman it be a waist to just dump it now. ANother thought what if my DE wizard go as a PS summoner. will then a wc or OL still be good or I still want an SE as buffer?

thanks
If you go ps, have the orc go warcryer. Theoretically you could go OL with it for slightly more patk/less pdef. But that means you will be stuck using Shadow since OL doesnt have VR.

SE will work for TH and PS and SH though.
How high are you planning on taking your "buffer" ? If you level with your buffer full time an orc buffer may be in your best interests. If you are looking to level up the buffer to barely A grade and are going to want to quit I'd lean towards something else.

For instance: Prophets have every good buff OTHER than bless body/soul/prophecy/Greater Might/Greater shield maxed out by level 58. They'll have Wind Walk 2, Haste 2, might 3 shield 3 Greater might/shield 1, zerk 2, magic resist level 3, (mb 2 is level 3 resist) focus 3 , death whisper 3, guidance 3, acumen 3, bless body/soul 4, Concentration 6, Mental shield 4, bless shield 3, invigor, regen all maxed out (I omitted the few other elemental resists etc) No VR, no Evasion, no Empower for PP.

Shillen Elder also is also well off at 58, sporting Wind walk 2, NO HASTE, no evasion, might 3 shield 3, no greater might/shield, no zerk, EMPOWER 3, focus 3 death whisper 3 guidance 3 no acumen, no blesses, no bless shield, no invigor, no regen, but Vampiric Rage THREE. Wild magic 1 will come soon at 62. Couple little resists (resist holy and resist wind) Also SE's have greater heal, greater group heals, and RECHARGES (key for nuker, with Empower).

Warcryers at 58 = NO WIND WALK, might/shield/magic resist/acumen/Evasion/crit POWER 3, haste 2, but they JUST RECEIVED vr 2!!!! at 58. They get to deal with Greater might/shield 1 as well like PP, but only CRIT CHANCE 1, ACCURACY 2. No mental shield, no concentration, no blesses, no bless shield, no regen, no invigor, and no resists at all. WC don't finish their buffs until 74, barring prophecies.

Overlords are even more stingy. No HASTE. No critical power or chance till VERY LATE. No blesses till very late. Empower is at 77. Even wind walk2 comes at 64. No concentration, no mental shield, no invigor, no VR, no greater might/shield EVER. at 58 OL Has Cast speed/ might/shield/magic resist/guidance/agility/bless shield 3, zerk 2, and wind walk 1. That's it.

If you plan on taking them all the way with you, at level 79 warcryers are by far the most balanced buffers for melee parties.
Warcryer's buffs are completed to max level, including chant of protection which is HUGE for reducing critical damage, with no healing to speak of, and the best prophecies (magnus and COV, though there is some debate on best melee prophecy, I prefer crit power to crit chance for most parties, some like the crit chance + extra vr of Shillen Saint's POWind. Magnus is godly)
Prophets are stuck with almost the same buffset as they had at 58, maxing only greater might/shield/blessbody/soul and elemental protection/resists, with a very good prophecy that for some stupid reason has max MP instead of max HP component, but still has critical power instead of chance :P
Shillen saints have no new buffs other than anti cancel/debuff, but max out vr4 and wild magic 2, with prophecy of wind.
Overlords get the biggest improvement between 58 and 79, with one of the best PVP prophecies, 30% less critical chance +4 accuracy/empower 3 magic resist 2/might3 shield3/critical chance3 critical power3/bless body6 bless soul 6 combo buffs. They complete wind walk 2, but still lack many key buffs, most notably VR4, Haste 2, Mental shield 4, concentration 6, greater might/shield, and resist buffs.

Hope that helps =) If you go phantom summoner/TH, the warcryer for the Long haul leveling scheme, or SE for short term lowbie buffer would be your best bet. VR is godly for leveling purposes, and your pet will have "selfbuffed" haste 2 from you on the PS.
