New Player

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to say hello. I'm a new player having a blast so far in the game. I'm currently 38 working on my class transfer quests. I'm a Elven Knight going down the Temple Knight path, I enjoy tanking and such. I look forward to end game PvP, Sieges, Raiding.

If any one that plays a Temple Knight has any tips far as gear and leveling I would like hear them! See ya out there!

Get common gear (both armor and weapon) at C grade, maybe also at B grade. You should be able to lvl from 40-61 relatively fast and you will need the adena for A gr gear.
Get a wolf. It will help you very much after you get it past lvl 55, since it hits for more than twice the damage that you do.
Join a clan with active people from your time zone. This game is much more fun if you play it with other people.

Also one last tip: TK is very hard to lvl and hardly worth it, at least in my opinion, but surely is far from a pvp toon. Now that you are at low lvl try some other classes too. If your future goal is to pvp, get a nuker or an archer or even a dagger class. With those classes it will be much easier to pvp even at lower lvls (late 60s-early 70s).
The TK is good if you want to do lots of raids, but not better than other tanks. Theoretically the strong point of the TK is Olympiad (but that is too far away) and aoe pulling (with nukers dealing aoe dmge), due to his 360 shield and fast run speed.
I thank you for the advice, I have been leveling pretty smooth but what from what I hear it will get tougher. I do enjoy tanking, and I read somewhere I can sub class, if I'm right I can do the quests and become another class of choice.

Far as getting in a clan I have shouted a bit in town if any active clans were recruiting but talking to another lowbie such as myself, I need to be a higher level. I will try my hand into finding a active guild once I get to 40+, if there are active clans looking for new members let me know. :)
Hi, welcome to the game I just started a week and a half ago. Im sitting at 36 getting ready to bump into 37.

If you need help in D class let me know. Ttyl.

Hey Galendal

Quick question how do I get a wolf? Do I get one at level 55?
There is a quest that you can do, and the reward for it is a level 15 wolf. (if memory serves), I do not remember the name of the quest, but you have to "level" the wolf to 55 on your own and then you can upgrade the wolf to a great wolf. I think the quest starts in either Gludio or Dion, but do not quote me on that.

Good luck to you and welcome to the game.
Its Gludio, Pet manager Marvin I beleive, I went and did it at lvl 22. Lvling that poor thing is a pain in the *** as levling myself. You could buy one, but I don't reccomend it, they are pricey.

Make sure you read everything after you get the 50 someodd bloody nails from the dark elven forest. She will then send you on to talk to the "pet supporter people"
read all that crap, go back to the Pet manager and then take a test. After you pass you get your wolf at lvl fifteen
Hope that helps.

Welcome Cruven :)
TK is a very nice class if you love to tank, i have one myself and loving it :)
Galendal is a more experienced TK, so he probably can give you alot of good advice.

I'm liking this TK. I just hit level 50 =) Game is rocking so far.
You are fast :)
Well newbie buffs and common equipment have made leveling to A grade very fast, so that is a good thing.
Bad for your wolf lvling though and I will explain:

You get a wolf from the pet manager in Gludin, after you do a quest for him. The wolf is lvl 15. The wolf lvls by taking away some of your xp. The closer lvl you are the faster the wolf lvls. Plus the wolf can help you by increasing your damage output (doubling it in lower lvls and overtripling it at higher lvls).
Disadvantage of the Great Wolf is it takes away around 50% of your xp, but since it increases your killing speed a lot, it is still worth it, especially in areas with mobs with high hp.

What you can do now (if you want a wolf):
1. Buy one at Giran. Prices have fallen and from around 100 mil for a lvl 55 wolf, now you can get it for 50-70 if you are lucky. That is about the price of a B gr top weapon
2. Start a new toon, with which you lvl the wolf to lvl 30-40. It should not take more than a week to get to lvl 30, and you will get to see another class in action. For faster lvling of the wolf, it could also be a Damage Dealer, nuker or archer or dagger etc. As soon as the lvl is within 10-15 lvls from your main toon, you can take him with your main and it will lvl efficiently. As soon as you get 61, the wolf will be around 50 and the lvl difference will decrease all the time.
Cool sounds like the wolf might come in handy. I have been leveling solo and leveling in a group with Juliana, so its been going pretty fast. Hoping to hit 52 sometime this weekend.
Welcome and Good job :).

Send me a pm in forum when you hit 52+
I will give you some freebie stuff that will help you out ;).
