I was wondering if someone had any opinions about what a Titan should wear at S grade. This includes weapon, armor and jewelry.
I see that the only S grade heavy armor is IC. My questions is this. A Titan is a damage dealer. IC armor seems to me to be better suited for tanking. Would it be better to get Tallum to +6 or above instead of getting IC or is IC so much more of an upgrade that it is better to wear it?

C4 knowledge.
I have maid damage based titan: +str+dex-con and draconic light (don't judge me :)), and during raid parties I was in party with tanking titan: +con and ic set.
Tanking titan have way better survivability than me, ok dps was lower but not so much.
Heavy tallum is great for pve, but for raid bosses it lacks defense.
Tallum is great or majestic if you hunt stunners. Get a hd with focus and fire and enchant doom for fire. Super boost in damage.
Get tateossian set and always carry a bow for some running chickens :D
for pve
ic set with dark ressist >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> tallum
Depends where you go imo.
To the OP. If you hunt in Varka/Ketra (which you can do till 80, although not advised tbh _-_) then all you need is your S grade weapon and some Tallum. Your DPS will just straight up be worse in IC. IC is an awesome set. One of the best in the game, but that is down to it's defensive attributes, not it's offense.
The higher the areas you xp, the more you will start to 'need' IC though. Deep in IT, FoG polling, even someday HB (which tbh if you still have trouble with IT you shouldn't bother with), etc.. For places like Varka/Ketra and now Silent Valley (till about 79, most mobs go blue about then), you'll be more than fine in tallum.
