Since NCSoft is paying to some employees for working servers, it is problem of the company to deduct from their salaries 7 days cards for entire population of teon, or at least of ppl, that where logged today. ;0)
never desire some one elses harm man..... maybe is a hardware problem that nobody can be blame for etc
its not about blaming anyone, the reason is irrelevant.
we pay for a service, the service has stopped working, and referring to the impact on today the downtimes caused a lot of trouble to some people (wasted 10k shots in kamaloka because server went down 3 times before boss were down and failed fort rim palaika and had 4 hours block. etc etc).
so yes i would say besides the fact that the downtimes were/are annoying it also caused minor damage to people.

On a serious note. Yes I want compensation danmit. I don't play on teon. never set foot there. But ****it I want compensation for that downtime. this is INTOLERABLE!

Seriously though, the EULA does state that you won't get anything, so I think this thread is quite pointless. It is weird though that they would have such significant stability problems with one server but not that others. That rules out a software bug (the software you would think would be identical on all machines). Maybe some dodgy hardware in Teon that needs replacing hmmm.

difference is, the C is completely free for them to put in, no cost, nothing. if they give out 24h to everybody for free, that means they lose 3% profit for the month.
And they don't have any legal obligations about it. That's the point of the EULA. to make you agree to their terms with the service provided. You agree to it and lose any "right" you might have had to reclaim lost play-time.
third thing. These things never happen on request. The company has to want to do it on their own. The requests happen every time the server is unexpectedly down. and every once in a while someone "demands" compensatoin for the weekly downtime

1) If they compensate downtime of 1 server it will be used as precedent in next issues and everybody will cry again and again.
2) As already mentioned EULA defined what they dont have to... Next time hit Decline button while logging.
3) I dont have any char - I am using NCSoft service and playing characters owned by NCSoft . There is no intelectual property owned by you.

What use is a recovery of VP when you couldn't play and your VP didn't go down?
I'd like a vita lollipop to use it when it's useful. And it's like the event and the missing "C", they just have to add it to all the characters WH of Teon. It's easy.
People pay for a service. While the EULA might say this it is expected that the service reasonably stay up. If not then it is reasonable under certain laws to expect some sort of compensation. Remember, the EULA is not valid in it's entirety across all states. Just because you sign on to a service doesn't mean you are bound by the EULA. It is not binding if it is in conflict with the law or the portions of it.
Just to add to this. Your compensation at best would be a few cents. It's not worth it to even try to get compensation. You'd pay more in filing fees and aggravation than what you would get back. NC then has the right to simply close your account.
Well in some service industries you would get some compensation only if the service has been down continously for a 24 hour period. And then it would be for the time it was down. Also the downtime wuoould have to been the direct fault of the company.

I dont think this poll is about getting the few cents we lost that plays on teon. Im preaty sure all of us are more looking for somthing like vita bonus a item bonus or somthing else.
The few hours we lost of RL money isnt even worth giving back. I dont think anyone is as cheap as you seem to be that think we want like 4 cent back lol
I hope for NC they wont, cus then "EVERYBODY" wants that, In "ALL" the servers, for "ANY" reason.
Not realy, teon crashed more then 10 times just one evening and server was slugish and crashed several times for 1 week.
NCsoft should reliese that had a serious problem and should reimburse the players in some way. Just cause a server crash one time and some one want compensation is kinda childish, i cant realy understand how a person like that thinks if hes above 10.
But anyways im preaty sure server will keep crashing for 1 more week atleast like it keept doing last time they removed the letters.
When the li***uard kicks everyone out of the pool, cause a **** is floating around... do you think you should get compensation? No, you want them to clean the pool so you can get on with your life.

I don't play on Teon, but IMO extended down time or time where there's an extended amount of game lag that creates situations that it's unsafe to play your main should be compensated with additional game time.
IMO, this game lacks the ability to hold NCSoft accountable for their actions. Although, NCSoft is very proactive at holding other's accountable for their actions/inactions regarding L2.

I don't. I don't care about the subscription. But you'll be surprised how many people do want it back till they find out they play $ 0.5 per day, then they don't really care. They think they pay a lot more.
I thought that's what was meant with compensation.
