I have been away from the game for years and I am in a dilemma as to what would be the most valuable investment to use them on.
I am tempted to get a couple of those Rings of Queen Ant as I just hit B Grade.
I am also wondering if maybe I should not invest in the Earings of Orfen and Rings of Core for when I hit A Grade.
Some advice on what to do would be appreciated.
Well if you are short on Adena I say sell them all for profit.
As for rewards I know a one that have gotten a Core and I got earth stones as many others.
But I bought 30 LINEAGEII and got juices and a bsoe + brez so it can turn ugly ^^

Trism old friend, the chance of getting a boss jewl from the event is pretty slim, about 0.33% chance. I would advise to turn in your letters, sell everything you get. You should get an element stone or two. On our server earth= 30m, divine=18m, water=7.2m. Remember, each stone can be traded for its opposite at the rune/aden element NPC. (earth=wind) (water=fire) (dark=divine). The hats arent tradeable. Ive turned in about 35 word and gotten 4 winds, 3 darks, and 1 fire. also 3 hats and lots of juices.

P.S. Dont buy or sell any of the boss jewls like core/orfen. They just arent worth it. AQ is nice, there will ALWAYS be a market for them, so its a solid investment! Core=300m Orfen=300m AntQueen=2b
I find that ALL events in L2 are roughly the same: you will virtually always make more money selling the event items themselves (e.g. letters) than you will make from turning them in.
The problem is though ... there's always that slim, slim chance of getting an insta "I win L2" prize from turning them in (e.g. boss jewels). Even though it's vanishingly small, that chance is enough to make a lot of people want to turn the items in. I have to admit I've been turning the letters in this event, even though in the past I've always just sold the letters. It's more fun, even though so far I've got nothing but 838943 buff juices and a bsoe :P
I think this event was messed up from the start. First no C dops but letters were dropping from almost every kill. Then the server gets reset and bam letter drops faded fast. The first few hours I had enough to spell lineageII 16 times and 5years 11 times. I barely got that much the rest of the week.
As far as Boss jewels go AQ was rewarded quite alot more than enay other time this event has been run. We had 2 clannies get a ring and there are now 6-7 for sell in Giran, when before you were lucky to see 1 for sell. Price is almost down to less than 2bil for an AQ ring.

The biggest hit to economy or help to players depending on how you see it is elemental stone prices. Before event Wind/Earth=70mil, Divine/Dark=40mil, Fire/Water=8mil. Fire/water is still the same but you can get Divine/Dark for less than 20mil now and Wind/Earth for less than 40mil.
I also see the prices for S grade gear going down, but of course S80 prices are going through the roof. People actually trying to sell Sigils for 500+mil when it cost less than 10mil in mat prices to make one (not including recipe cost).
