I just want to say good work to Moxie for a standard she used to develop in last few days.
These forums are full of insults against whole team without differencing between roles. Everybody is crying for bugs and blame GM's but most of them are game design issues need to be patched by developers.
Regarding bots situation - it is uncontrollable and unstopable without better automation. And even after ban bot supervisors open new accounts cause they will still be in profit. I must say that bot button is not very happy solution from my side of view. As I already noted regarding implementation of counterbot scripts - for example counter indicating time in Battle mode will point to notorious botters. There is no other way to deny it then botting on shifts what will make bot lvling slower and more money for company to fight back. Also if such counter is not created in database GM's have no way how to get this info => So probably there will be nothing like that what is sad :-(
I can see periodically cata cleaned of bots and also some classic bot locations. So probably they are doing something, just it is not in human power to beat automation in such dimensions and clean it again and again and again.... without counterautomation.
Sad that there is no possibility to moderate thread u start and every time it turn to spam one - due to some individuals. But if it is moderated - one can remove all post he dont want to see => threads will be one sided.
So Moxie please keep informing us at least with peace of information you can reveal. In the time you will probably loose faith in the things you are doing on forum as there will be huge mass of people with negative attitude.
People sometimes overlook that, people that don't have anything to complain about (I.E. Content with what's given to them in L2) don't come to the forum. In a negative thread (I.E. "Technical Issues") of course you'll almost only see people complaining and talking about their issues, it's what it's there for.
This does perhaps mean 50-90% of the people that are on the forum complain, but in no way does this indicate the average player playing L2 have something to complain about.
It's like real life, people will protest against certain things (Trying to avoid politics here) but there's a lot they're happy with. It's just they don't come in groups on street and say "PRAISE THE <insert whatever the people are content with>"
So yes, Moxie will most likely talk with people that complain on the forum, in no way does that mean the overall community (Most of which is playing L2 instead) is a sad panda!
What I don't understand, is, why, in the holy earth, with the good profit Retail has ($15 per account per month, while some good privates are free and runned by spontaneous donations, yet they have anti-cheaters team, wich are more competent imo) they don't hire some people specialized in bot hunting. Or at least competent people, because the actual ones (if theres such a "team") are **** incompetent.

The in-game investigations are taken care of by the Game Support Team. While I do understand your frustrations and the frustrations of many other players regarding this issue, the forum rules will be enforced as they always have been.
I realize a lot of people feel that reporting in-game, using the bot button, or submitting reports on the Support Site may not be productive, but I assure you those methods are productive. I encourage you to continue using these methods to report users who are violating the EULA.

Sh0ck... what server you play on? if you play in Teon I really don't know which spots are botless... and if you don't, you should really come take a look when it's heavy and you will understand the reason of 90% of complaints.
I still have nothing to congratulate the new staff for, so far I get the feeling they only protect NC's interests and not the player community needs... The more I think about the issue the more clear it seems to me... So, honestly, I'd really like to congratulate the new staff and to say "keep on the good work" just like I did with the former GMs... but it's been what... a month? and in that time, all the results that were hardly accomplished were destroyed... That's something to worry about.
I don't think Moxie and Aramis will "loose faith" reading "negative" posts -some of them are negative but some other are constructive criticism and legit complains- because then they wouldn't be prepared for this job, which obviously if NC picked them up, they are... I think that they just have to "do their job" (a.k.a. do what NC tells) so actually they should understand that ppl that complains are not blaming the GM's, but actually blaming their bosses for not doing anything. They are here to take all the crap -and the good- but it doesn't mean we hate them or anything... they just have to mediate with "the angry crowd" which is also the most grateful community once things are taken care of properly...
So... again, to GM's... stay more in touch not only as an "authority voice" in forum, but also as friendly advisor or try to understand your community... there are lots of ways to win this community...

I play on Franz and 90% of Branded's rooms are taken by bots 24/7, and the same applies to Witch and so on... which makes exp almost impossible there.
Even if I won't say GMs aren't doing anything, actually I don't know what they are actually doing to ban the bots for instance, because I don't see any change ingame. I think it even got worse past weeks, after a short period of bot ban.
My feeling is that <i>maybe</i> they do something to improve our game experience, but I didn't see any change ingame so far.
After the launch of Gracia Final I was amazed by the fact they seemed not to be aware of some things, like character anniversary, vitamin manager, dimensional merchant... people always ask what are those things on forum but it's only players who try to give answers, when we need official informations.
Lastly, when you pay monthly fees, I guess you have the right to complain about bots and bugs ;)
I don't have anything against GMs but they need to be a bit more present and tell things more clearly.
I will join the majority here and say that there is othing to say "gratz" for.
I mean, yes, the might be trying but there doesn't seem to be any real effect...at all. Just log into the game and see for yourself.
Look at Tulp's quote. It basically says: "we are doing something and you should believe it just cuz I say so". And then you log in, report several people and the only reply you get is an automated one which quite often doesn't even relate to that issue. I think people are already fed up with macro replies and simply telling them to have faith isn't going to change their minds, not after 4 year of failures.
I wish them the best but I really do not expect any change.
I got a warning from Alyra a year ago for calling the team lazy and incompetent (can you argue with that, or does a few days of system messages delete everything else?).
She hasn't developed any standard. She is just continuing with the standard that others have stopped enforcing.
Quite Frankly allowing people to criticize the support/development team is a GOOD thing.
I don't think it should amount to circular arguments and flame fests, but locking the thread just because someone said something bad about you doesn't help.
She's just being an Admin Troll like the rest of them, they just never give you a chance to respond.

What's assistant producer anyway?? I'm not sure but I think that possition is (or fell) as forum moderator -or censorer- therefore that person must be in contact with gaming community. So far the only thing they do is to close and delete threads that say the true about the gaming experience and yet no counter contribution is made neither from the AP nor the GM... at least it'd be cool to know why they don't do anything. We have our reasons and arguments on why do we keep saying this *horrible* things... but they just don't give out theirs... this can be translated as an "I don't care" staff, and that's sad.
I hope they proove me wrong and they actually do something good for community, even though that reality is that they DO NC job and they DO NOT work for gaming community, so we players will always be in disadvantage.
Maybe there should be dedicated QQ and Bot complain sections :-D
There is server related/class related section - I was thinking that general section is there to discuss non-class/non-server things about game itself :>

Im sure that she would love to come here and tell you what they all are doing but no doubt they are safer not saying anything; or arent allowed. The turn over rate is incredible say the wrong thing you could be outta work... now im not saying shes (moxie i dont talk about the other guy cause ive heard zilche from or about him) not trying hard but given the crap hand she was dealt one can only play out and hope for better cards later. I mean its been what 2 weeks maybe three and shes had a very rough start with things what with senior mc.flawlessbot let us bot posts and having to amalgamate herself into this new position.
Spam was and is still held in an extremely high standing among the majority i almost want to say all of the users on the forums. She cannot be expected to jump in and do what spam did, spam is well spam.. moxie is .. moxie. Some sort of leeway must be given to allow her and that other guy to meld into the system and start hammering out things the way they like in their job responsibilities.
She could tell you until shes blue in the face that the higher ups are listening to you but no one would ever believe her. I personally feel as though all these interviews you see with people who actually have a say in things and how their done are very poor. Nothing is ever actually said during these interviews and its gotten to the point where one can guess the answers and be about right on all fronts. These interviews are where we should expect answers. It would be nice if they hired or the higher ups in nc soft west would come onto the forums and discuss things with their user base. This is done in other MMORPG's to get their take and feelings on things. I find it slightly odd that the game suggestion area has never had a gm respond with their thoughts or ideas on topics... but perhaps as i said before they are not allowed...
I just say good luck to moxie and that other guy in getting settled in, and i look forward to see more good work from you like on that flawless guy ;)
