I cruised through A-grade in DC robe set and Elysian Health, playing melee assistant mostly (giving a few hits after buffing) and crowd controlling with sleep.
DC is so good that I still use it now in S-grade. As for weapon, it's AM time now :)
This update made WCs a bit more attacking, so you could get a blunt with m.att. and drain happily, then giving a few hits to recharge and back to drain.
Alright, but does "Steal Essence" Hurt more with more Matk? I would say yes. but im not sure.

Yes, and empo gives +++ dmg too
Thank you.
So, i think ill go for DC and Elysian. Cus indeed, WC are pretty good fighters since this last update. Patk, and Makt for support..
My suggestion would be a light armor of your choice for debuff protection, and a sword or dagger, not a mage wep though. The ability to vr mp and keeping soulcry up forever while still being able to rebuff whenever you feel like it far outweighs the benifit in casting speed a robe gives you. You should be able to do all your buffs without any problem in this new update. And still have some mp left for emergency drains.
Check carefully the descriptioins for robe, light armor and heavy armor. My WC isn't that high yet, but I discovered a new thing with the armor -- certain perks that are associated with the masteries rather than the armor set itself. In that regard, I chose light armor as having the maximum benefit, but it depends on your play style and needs.
My 78 Doomcryer sub on my SE now wears maj light instead of tallum robes, casting speed means nothing to her since she can chain cov with any armor and any buff or weapon. Currently using acu blunt on her, but will prolly change it to lowest c grade health blunt.
If I boxed her to also hit the mobs, instead of assisting with my BD, I would probably use a Forgotten blade with focus and DC/Maj light depending on the area im in.

I recently did this since they updated the Passive Armor Info and I noticed that robe seems to be the worst choice to go for me anyway because I am play more like a DD. I am still testing this out so dont flame me yet. Light Armor gives 90% bonus to Casting Speed and like 25% bonus to Attack Speed. Heavy Armor gives 70% bonus to Casting Speed and 25% bonus to Attack Speed. Robe does not give anything from the Passive Skill other than p.def which the other passives also gives. Of course you get 15% casting speed from the Robe Set if it gives that ability but you dont get anything from the Passive Skill it self. So my question is this. If I have DC Light and DC Robe does the DC Light give more casting speed since its 90% bonus from passive or does the DC Robe give more since its 15% from the robe set? I dont have a robe set so thats why I said I am not completly sure on this. I recently purchased a common DC Heavy set to test out to see how Heavy Armor works. I am currently wearing DC Light and using a common Elysian looking for a Flaming Dragon Skull / Acumen. Can somebody with Robe, Light and Heavy test this out?

You'll still cast the fastest in robes, then light, then heavy. If you're 6x on your wc, I remember at around that level I needed close to all the mp (maybe with around 700 or 800mp left) with DC robe and -5men tattoo. It'll be way better when WC starts getting combo buffs, but ofc you can always do half ur buffs at 10min then the other half the next 10min; so u'll have the mp for buffs. When the wc gets 70+, it can be in light or heavy armor. The buffing speed in light or heavy is actually quite decent.
Yea, I noticed that that the Passive said Robes gives double your casting speed and also gives some attack speed. Does that mean that Robes gives 100% to casting speed? Since the update mana is not a problem. I do all the needed buffs with only a couple buffs left like Accuracy and Evasion. I just kill a couple mobs and then buff the Accuracy and Evasion. I went all they way to LV 67 using Robes and now that I am in Light I can honestly say that its much better using Light. I was in a party Tanking in Antharas Lair yesterday with no problems at all. I guess it really depends on your play style.
I started a WC myself, he is about lvl 46 now.
Is the atkspeed the same for robes, light and heavy? just curious ... I guess I can test this later myself ingame =)
I enjoy robes for now though, maybe Ill change to light or heavy in B- or A-grade.

i currently use avadon robe, less pdef more casting speed.
since spell interuption doesn't happen much i use steal essence alot when im low on hp. it works out fine cus of the casting speed, and im amazed that even with a avadon robe my pdef is still pretty amazing.
Im pretty sure i want a DC robe, since i use avadon now ive seen that i still can take quiet a beating.
but weapon, that's another story.
I see lots of WC's and OL's with a flaming dragon skull. But if i go solo its pretty much useless i guess?? or??
So, any of you, im a WC, and i fight 50% solo and 50% in party's. So i think i need a weapon with a decent Patk. I prefer blunts Because of burning chop and stunn.

plz help.. LOL
Elysian? or keep my AOBA?
First: no one here can really help you since everyone has different game styles, but I can tell you my actually A grade equip for my OL (works great with WC too)
If I want to solo: TALLUM HEAVY SET, ELYSIAN (common one, if you can afford it a Meter Shower +3 with FOCUS will be better).
If I want to support: DARK CRYSTAL ROBE SET, WEAPON+MANA UP (low C weapon would be fine)
If I want to PVP: DARK CRYSTAL ROBE SET, FLAMING DRAGON SKULL +3 with ACUMEN
As you can see, heavy for exp and blunt for the dmg skills (some uses daggers, it's a matter of choise, my OL could use dagger after 74 and critical of pa'agrio on, we'll see)
When I say "support" I mean spam CP, HEAL, BUFFS. When I join an exp party, I go with heavy as well.
Hope that helps ;)
P.S.
the Dmg dealt to enemy for a COMMON ELYSIAN = AOBA+3 with HASTE (common Elysian is cheper, but the haste is really usuful in pve, again, matter of choise, also consider that if you drain with the common Elysian on, you'll do more dmg than with AOBA).
So DC robe and a nice blunt to deal some dmg, i still can buff, casting speed isn't really needed cus of the +15% the DC gives me. since this is my first toon that reaches lvl 61 i dont have money enough for the setup you have.
Now im pretty sure.
But why do you prefer a meteor shower over a Elysian?
lol.. thx :D
EDIT: my weapon now is a Aoba +4 [Rsk Focus] keep it? or still an elysian?

:D
Elysian SA: Health (useless for you), Anger (+dmg -life, no worth it), Critial Drain (useless since you have a drain yet)
Meteor Shower SA: FOCUS (that's what you need), Critical Bleed (good, but blunts dont crits often), Risk. Haste (uselees, you dont fight all the time with 30% life)
now
DDtE/ second (Dmg dealt to enemy every second)
DDtE/s ELYSIAN common = 315
DDtE/s METEOR SHOWER+3 with FOCUS = 339
DDtE/s AOBA+4 (normal state, dont consider risk.focus) = 298
DDtE/s AOBA+4 with HASTE (if you can afford the crystal) = 316

now you can choose what you please :D
Thanks a ton!! Now i will go for a meteorshower sooner or later. But since my Aoba is +4 i will change the SA to haste indeed. So im no hurry in getting a A grade weapon. Thanks again!
I use tsu*sls on my WC with tallum heavy. works like a charm.
It prolly will, pretty sure of that. But im more or less a roleplayer and i like playing my WC how its supposed to be, with the stunn and the burning chop. So i kinda NEED a blunt weapon.
Im lvl 59 WC and currently soloing in the cemetary. Is there a better place for me to level?
Once I get to wear A grade I am thinking of going Light Dark Crystal Set and Barakiel's -Focus.
Decent setup? Where is my next XP point?
Point to "short range attack weak point" mobs
I reached 62 in Forsaken Plains and then switch to outside Goddard fields. With Gracia Final you can move to Goddard even now, and don't worry about the color of the mobs, even if they are red, you can kill them fast ;)
After 66+ I suggest Swamp of Screams. Take all the quest, make fast exp, collect nice materials. Guess you can stay there untill 73+
After that, Silent Valley could be a good spot for a meele duo. Maybe, with that gear you have, you can try solo.

Im returning to Lineage 2, obviously, and would like to explore the Gracia content. Im level 60 WC, but Im stuck in the keurecerus alliance base. Where do I go from here? It seems that I cant find the exit (not an exit back to Aden.... I want to explore Gracia!)

you need to be 75+ to be able to take the quest that will allow you to fly around.
