I love how at the end of the normal auto response template they put something something like "oh feel free to petition us more will be more than happy to auto respond to you more, because we honestly don't care about your problem(s). HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!"

I know the feeling.. nothing to make you feel even more frustrated than having them asking you to take your time and petition just to have another automated response in return..

GM Mystery
I have asked that question before, they stated they are busy lol. Which is an obvious Lie. Its not like they are actually typing real responses heck all they need to do is copy and paste and presto all 12 pending petitions are done. In addition 2 GMs !? that's like 6 petitions per person to do. BTW I received the same response last night while I went bot hunting from GM Harris (see above)
BTW guys Test for yourself go and Like find a bot and report it and print screen there auto-response here. I know I'm not the only person getting it. There's someone interested in knowing more about this *hint hint* (no its not me)
Just like you cant see if any GM is actually on at any specific moment, you are also not able to see how many actual petitions are ahead of you, if you did you could estimate how many active GMs are working.
They just dont wanna disclose this information, I'm fine with that.
PS. When you get the same question for the 150th time, wouldnt you wanna copy and paste also?

no what I would do is go to the players location look for myself and determine if that is a bot and then log that player out or rubber band that bot around. then I note the facts and then tell the person filing the petition that I have validated that he/she is a bot and further action will be dealt with once I have gather further sufficient information on random days/week/time/hour/sec etc.
I don't expect an immediate hammer of ban on the player but at least I want to see some effort on there part that they took the time to actually listen to you and check for themselves.

This gets my vote for the most asskissy post of the week.
What's with the whole, "They just don't want to disclose this information" bit? The information is completely worthless other than to let you know they're not going to auto-respond to your question right away. It creates the illusion of someone being busy, but it's just a bit of pre-programmed nonsense. The GM petition command is just another one of NCSoft's frustrating and worthless quests. There's nothing mystical, secretive, or productive about it.
It's just like when you go to fileplanet and try to download something. If you're not subscribed to their premium service where you can download immediately, it's ALWAYS 22-30 people ahead of you (regardless of the day or time) and it takes 15-20 minutes before you can download. For fileplanet, the pre-progammed text and wait time is a way to make money. For NCSoft West, it's a way to make you think they're actually working.
Honestly, do you really think that botters are wasting time trying to calculate how many GM's are not interested in stopping them on any given day? If they cared that much about a GM's power, botting would be more of the exception than the rule. And based on the lack of any effective GM activity, I would estimate that there are no more than 2-3 GM's that cover all the servers at once using a chat window interface. They are not actually logged into the game at any time.
Why don't you unsaddle NCSoft's prize sack and smell what your shoveling.

No... no I wouldn't. In fact at the company where I work as a Community Specialist using canned responses is against the rules... The customer support people use canned responses sometimes when they're doing emails, especially if there are multiple emails about the same situation or it's a standard issue with EULA violation, etc etc...
But the people in game, like me, that deal with the customer base 1 on 1 LIVE never use canned responses and we always stop to talk to the person. We never just paste in some nonsensical response and then close the petition without allowing them to respond (The very unprofessional behavior that NCSoft support is famous for). The GM's are never visible in game, the community support team is non-existant -- literally, there is no leadership for their community team, and the in-game GM's are a joke, they handle NO issue's what so ever.
So after 150 petitions of the same thing, wouldn't I want to copy/paste? No. I don't and I won't. :) I actually do my job.
WaaahWaaahWuzzle: I wasnt trying to kiss *** to NCSoft, but rather trying to get ppl to understand why its done. You dont think the botters would "test" how many GM's were online before they started their programs?
Why dont you go back and stand on that soap box and shout at the top of your lungs?
I had to cover the inappropriate language to be able to post here... As you can see they no longer putting there names on the automated responses (probably because they saw this thread O.o)
For female sex organ he called me the "C" Word D:
I didn't take a screenshot, but when my toon was all of the sudden missing 16k fame, I petitioned it 3 times. All 3 times they just told me how much fame I currently had (the amount displaying in the character status window), thanks, I didn't notice that! Not...
