Known bots

I would like to leave this thread so people could write the names of the bots they find in game. A GM told me that they cannot do anything until they are 100% sure a toon is a bot.
Well... looks like they are not doing a good job, because everyday i see more bots. I even know of people who decided to start using botting programs because they think that NC is not going to do anything about it anyways.
But what really makes me upset is that bots no longer hide, they are on the open doing the usual stuff in the same exact spot even for months.
That's the case of a toon called Greenoff that is always botting in Forsaken Plains in the Devianne server. I have reported him at least 20 times and he is still there. I shouted the names of bots in Giran, but guess what... thera is no one paying attention to bots reports or at least that's how it feels.
100% sure? There will always be the benefit of the doubt for GMs, but I'm sure most of us "honest players" are 100% sure about a bot train, or bot territories where you can go and see almost all the time the same toons for months.
Do GMs realise that those dwarves deleveling in gludio are also bots? Yes the ones that go and hit the guards and then resurrect and go again to be killed? Do they understand that dwarves with names like ASDASDSWE that use always the same spot and follow always the same pattern are also bots? Do they even pay attention to toons that might have been reported at least 100 times in a day?
Well hopefully someone in NC is going to pay attention, because if they have GMs in charge of getting rid of the bots, they are doing a terrible work...
At least they should be honest with "true players" and tell us... OK... botting will be permmited. And instead of say they are fighting botters they start offering their own bot software... it is sad but they will never get rid of bots if they don't have GMs checking the servers all the time.

I hate johnny, I post johnny is a bot ... There's a whole system for you to report bots, use it, nomatter how ineffective it is it's still better than providing an open invitation on everybody to vent their anger on everybody else

this will be locked....it will be abused same way at the "bot" button is...

But you also have to look at it like this.

The GMs crack down and ban them all. Lets say for the sake of simplicity, there's only 5 servers.

That's $2250 a month they just lost. And that's in one small area.

PlayNC plays dumb so that the rest of us still have a lineage 2 to play.

If the bots are banned, then they are generally replaced. So NC makes the monthly fees anyway plus sells new game clients. NC comes out ahead financially when they ban bots.

However, I personally do not thing that NC makes bot banning a financial decision. They ban bots because of a policy decision. Sure, I wish they were better at it, but ppl who say that NC allows bots for financial reasons are wrong.

We got already a bot dedtection thread. this one is useless.

They just don't want to ban too many or too frequently or the botters might give up and not pay for new accounts.

If they REALLY cracked down, and constantly banned bots before they got 40-50.
Botters would essentially give up in due time. And then there won't be replacement toons.

The problem is that most bots are paid with stolen cc or time cards.... This has been stated time and time again by each "Producer" we have had..

NC NA/Euro Lineage2 operations used to appear in NCsoft Korea (the main company) public reports as something worth mentioning. But not anymore.
