i still have antho nails rks haste laying around but its not really any good. as u said ur hp most likely wont go under 30% so it hardly kicks in.. when it does its already to late cuz thatll prolly be a raidboss exterminating you lol :) theres 2 rsk SA's on b grade and 1 normal. thought was health, rks focus, rks haste. basicly wot you could do then is take +4dex-5con and go for health sa to get least ur hp back :) then again i didnt try that out so u dunno if it brings the balance back + adding most speed. wot i do know is ur stun res going backwards cuz of that.. either way, some extra hp on ur tyrant never hurts ya ;) other then that if i read well i see ur a grade already? get common fists and save up for s grade imho :)
get rsk. haste and fight harder mobs. If you never break 60% you can go somewhere harder and level much faster
I'm leveling a sub tyrant at the moment, and at lv71 I wish there was a pair of a grade fists with rsk. haste or rsk. focus.
I leveled my tyrant from 40 to 61 with +10 C grade fists with risk haste. I have a ws on a second account, so i always had plenty of shots with me.
Plated leather and -10 con +4str/dex meant i had almost no HP, and I still only died once or twice while grinding.
In low level PvE it doesn't really matter how much HP you have, as longas you have VR and decent buffs you can take on 4 mobs at a time and not lose HP.

thats the exact same setup as i used till lv61, yet if one doesnt dualbox it might be more usefull to switch to dex+ str- get plenty con and a health SA :)
overall its the players own choise wot works best for him/her. as i said in my previous msg.. not really worth getting a grae with sa when u can ave a common weapon that works just as good :) assuming hes a starting player shud be better saving up for s grade.. lvling aint to hard so he'll reach s grade fast enough
My exp is that common fists do just fine. I am A grade and my Comman Dragon Grinders are still ok. I do have WC buffs though.
Up until S grade I think its all a waste of Adena...save for +0 S grade which are 200kk. S Armour is another 800kk so 1 billion will be required. Then add elements, S Jewels etc...get the picture.
I hate to burst you bubble McBuff but no where in any patch note does it say a player will be penalized for hunting monsters above their level. However, lvl 78 and above characters will be penalized for hunting monsters that are 4 levels or more below them.
I do no want to start an argument with you but if you can prove what you say is true then I will believe you.

You can exp on red mobs all you want, as it's not my exp anyway ^^
Btw, it's not that hard to test that yourself either.
I hope harder doesn't mean pink or deep red mobs, as you get exp penalty for fighting mobs too high level than you o:
You get a very small penalty, but you still get more exp than fighting whites. Plus they are higher level so chances are they'll have a better SP/XP ratio.

I always purchase good gear, the way I look at it's a zero interest loan, when you're done with A grade you can resell it at the price you bought it for as long as you didn't buy it at a horrible price. I've done this for B grade on every character, I bought what I needed and resold it once I hit A grade
usually if they are 20 levels above you, you don't have good enough accuracy. so a dagger 20 levels lower will have more trouble than a tyrant, or a blunt using destro...
bow's will miss a lot...
i don't know if there is a damage issue for melee(this word isn't recognized by my browser as a word... must be an accent thing).
as for hitting a mob that is 9 levels higher, it's easy for a tyrant.
however they usually hit pretty hard if you're not careful.
Well, since tyrant use dual blunts, and also have totems that give accuracy, it should be doable to kill mobs a few lvls above you, but try not to go crazy and go for mobs 15 lvls higher than you. They will crit you more often coz of the lvl diff. Just like we crit green mobs more often than white ones.

you should be using ogre on a tyrant as soon as you get it and never switch away form it unless you need to run away or be superman for 60 seconds. It doesn't give accuracy though.
Crits are not huge a problem. Tyrants have the type of light armor mastery that reduces critical attack rate on them

Ogre also reduces crit damage....It should be easier now a days with Ogre to xp on yellow mobs all the way to 76.
Hi,i sub a tyrant.SSC are finishing very quickly, and have big weight.
Also my fisted blade's +4 p.atk. it couldn't hold me up until 61lvl
So i checked B fists and the SA that all have is Rsk. ...something.....
What to do?I can afford arthro nail but what SA?My hp never goes less than 60%.
A guildie told me to OE some fist to + 13 or so and run with them till S grade. I'm still only level 46 so I'm only using a pair that are +5 right now but when I reach b Grade I will probably purchase a +12 or 13 and exchange it. Guildies reasoning was that ssc was a lot cheaper than ssb or ssa and the damage is comparable.
also, Haste fists over enchanted are pretty nice, more so if you're doing raids and junk where you don't receive damage...
i forgot what i was going to say...
oh, CSS comes in a 1/3 price, while BSS comes in full price.
so every Css you buy rounds out, so you end up saving 10 adena(B), 25(A) per (two)hit? weight issues aren't usually a problem, but you will need 3x the shots, i hope you don't plan on being out for too long, as those shots go quickly.

I'm a 56 tyrant with +4 str -5 dex doom armor and a +7 artho nail with rsk haste sa. I was goofing around last night and I found a very easy way in my 4 room spawn in apostate to get rsk. haste going. Turn ogre off turn puma on wait till your hp drops to where you want it to be then turn ogre back on. The mobs in apostate definetly hit hard enough if you're not using ogre to drop your hp like a stone. I will admit with that I got a little worried when my hp dropped so far so fast despite my happy improved buffalo sitting in the corner. You can modify your playstyle to take advantage of the rsk haste if you want to.
Arthro Nail with Rsk. Haste and +2 DEX +1 STR - 3 CON I think is pretty good for exp... If u can enchant them at least +5 would be much better... Try it!!!

i know this might be a little off topic, but at that level i was wearing Theca.
yes, Theca, not Plated leather.
Plated leather would have VR'd too much.
Theca gave up enough Defence to warrant playing all Ogre all the time.

I never wore Theca actually. When I was in C grade I had a +6 pl set I wore.
I've been doing a lot more thinking about weapons lately and at one point I was considering taking a fisted blade to +16 and using that. The damage on a +16 fisted blade is 285 which beats the dragon grinder and gives you a much cheaper/better sa. I sadly figure to guarantee a +16 fisted blade is going to take in the neighborhood of 526,518,750. Thats just a rough paranoid guess I've overenchanted armor never overenchanted weapons yet to figure out the probability. This figure comes from using 50 weapons and 800 ewc scrolls with me paying 400k per scroll If my tyrant was level 40 it would have been a worthwhile investment but at level 57 and 1/2 way to 58 not so much so.
The current apple of my eye is a blood tornado operating under the simple belief as a fast hitting tyrant that an extra 61 to critical attack is a lot better than another 7% to my attack speed. Enchanting the weapon to +3 would still give it 271 damage only 14 less than a dragon grinder and if you can manage to get it to +8 you have a p. atk of 311 which beats sobekk's hurricane. The only question now is how much do the cost and if I can lay my hands on five of them and manage to get at least one to +8.
If you plan to get to 76 at all, spending any money on A grade or less is a complete waste. Crafting your Demon Splinters should be your first priority, if Tyrant will be your main. Element makes alllllll the difference. With element on your weapon you will hit mobs just way harder than not; you will not be able to handle high level areas at all without it. Even if you can only buy one firestone at a time slowly, eventually you will have a nice weapon that will probably last you until L2 dies. All that money spent on mats and enchants for blowing A weapons is way better used to try for S craft. And S crafts will hold their value.
Get a Blood Tornado focus +3, and pay no more attention to A weapons (or maybe go back to them when your +3 DS 150 fire is done). OEing A weapons is only for people rich enough to blow stuff up or twink out an alt or sub, or for people who don't know better. No amount of OE on an A weapon compares to damage of element; patk of A weapon is irrelevant. I had hero weapon; it even had crit damage ability; it's patk was equivalent to +13 S weapon or so; did it hit harder then my plain old +3 150 element S weapon? Nope, was about the same. Might be hard to believe it till you try it for yourself but believe me, you can get by with A armor forever, but you can't get by without elemented weapon.

Kanaeda,
At no time did I say that oeing any weapon was going to be a substitute for getting a S grade weapon. More or less what I was looking at was getting a weapon that would take me to S grade. A +16 great pata has a higher p. atk than the best unenchanted A weapon and it could be used from level 40 up and its sa would be a lot cheaper. I saw a top C +16 selling for around 550 million. I also saw a Sobekk's Hurricane selling for 350 million. As a level 58 tyrant my main concern is the gear thats going to get me to S grade. Right now I have a dragon grinder that I will use if I can't manage to get my hands on a +3 blood tornado with focus.
Now back to the main topic about the artho nail with risk haste. I did find a room in Apostate that is perfect for the rsk haste sa of artho nail. Its a 6 to 8 mob spawn and as long as you stay to one side you should have enough hard hitting mobs to keep your haste going. I do use a buffalo and I'm not sure if it is possible to keep this room without the use of a buffalo for healing purposes.
I just hope you are not seriously considering spending 550-350m on a non-S weapon. And even with Orc weight capacity, you would run out of SSC fast, esp. with Tyrant attack speed.
