Well I am back to the game after roughly 3 years of inactivity. I was originally on Seighardt with a few characters. My highest toon was only lvl 40 so nothing special. Although I do have a few questions for anyone who can answer them for me.
When I logged onto my account I had 1 character left of the 3 that I had when I deactivated my account. Does anyone what might have happened to those toons? I can't remember off the top of my head what lvl they were but I don't think either of them was past lvl 10-20.
Second questions, have there been any serious game altering patches that I might need to know about before starting again. I am fairly positive that I am gonna restart over as a lowbie toon just to get the hang of the game again and then start playing my lvl 40 paladin again.

Major changes since three years ago... lets see... hmmm yes there are some.
I would suggest you try out your paladin until b grade and see what you like about it.
At 44 u get a more pve change form...
40 to 52 takes no more than a week with casual playing now.
I think there were some notes on if a player was below a certain lvl when the merge went of it got deleted. Nothing to cry about.
lvl 1-20 takes no more than a hour or 2.
lvl 20-40 a few days if you dont know were or lvl. Before the vit change/update it took me 2-3 days in the catas. How long would it take now... 1-2 days at the most.
Buy and use common weap until a/s grade, use common jewels until high a grade, only get real armour for the bonuses.
I played the closed beta version of Aion last weekend which is why I wanted to come back to L2 for a little bit. They definately had their similarities between those two games. Hopefully the next closed beta will be within a month or so. Want to try out something different this time around.
