Shadow step through root

Hello,

2 days ago in I have fight in arena with dagger. I have rooted him with arrest and he succeeded to shadow step with root on! I think that root/arrest blocks any movement.

that is some real crap then if what you say is true.

BUT! Did he do it at once? Because arrest is only 10 secs long, so...

Ive noticed that sometimes the root look (the red circle at the feet) will remain after the skill has ended, Ive had that happen to me on a couple of occasions.

Is it also possible he broke the arrest? Don't daggers get a hold breaking skill?

I haven't gotten mine up there yet, so I can't remember what it's called.

oh, G ! THe more I read\learn about daggers the more I wanna quit the game :/

Daggers can only cancel physical root (from tanks/bd/sws).

I am an Adventurer (TH). While rooted you can indeed Shadow Step (teleport) to someone/thing in range, and remain rooted. It is pretty cool, but Shadow Step has a 2 minute cooldown, and the range of a stab is directly next to someone... so if you move an inch they can no longer melee you.

You can Escape Shackle from tank root (Arrest) type things only.

All the Kamael's with teleports can use it through roots as well. It's a good tactic for ******* off tanks who think they finally have a chance to chain stun. Sorry. Port. Removed. Now you can resume dying ^_^.

Once I got shadow step on my PW at 72, I didn't realize I could do that while rooted. Took me until lvl 75 or so until I finally figured it out >< It's saved my *** countless times though from mass rooting gargoyles on IoP :P I love it!

You can shadow step while rooted. Root never blocked skills. Hes not moving, heck. you can teleport with GK while rooted, you can get summoned. He'd be dumb to do it against a moving target, but if something is standing still why not teleport next to it and do some damage?

Cant shadow step only be used when you are a certain distance away from the target? SO tank comes in close spam stun GG?
