It's impossible to sort out the legit from the unlegit. Even if people say they did it legit, the listener can't ever know for sure. I'm not saying the people are lying, but if you're not right there w/ them, you'll never know for sure.
Furthermore, most people who do powerlevel friends or subs or alts have high level buffs boxed, but typically these high level (78+) prophets, SEs, WCs, BDs, SwSs and sometimes EEs were not actually leveled by the players using them. Some were botted, some were bought, some were given to them by friends who quit, some were given to them by friends who used questionable means to level them, etc.
I know you can powerlevel someone very quickly AOE in Darkness, w/ oop bd/cov/ee, using hero pole and IC set. Before you can powerlevel someone though, they have to get to within 20 levels of you. Before that, the best way to PL is to OOP buff them & give them S-grade fists.
Oh, and 8 characters to powerlevel 1? Why? Unless they're lowbie themselves, they'd also have to wait till the person was within 20 levels of all of them. Then, unless they're going into Towers, I still think AOE Darkness w/ 1 player would be best. And I'm not sure that Towers would even be better, just that it would be closer than some other areas.
Im guessing they changed something since than blauw. So wearing a S grade fists weapon with prophet buffs is realy worth while? THe debuff is canceled by having the buffs attack speed / run speed etc? With Prophet buffs?

You got the "debuff" wrong. It's not run/attack speed that's messed up, it's accuracy.
And no, the debuff is not canceled by the prophet buffs, it's canceled by the damage output. It far exceeds the damage you'd get from a no-grade, d-grade, etc. weapon, even w/ the hit to your accuracy. I've always given my low level alts an A or S grade weapon... or back in the day an AOBA (B-grade blunt :p). You don't even need uber buffs to make it work, the newbie guide buffs are enough. Of course, if you're talking about REALLY fast leveling, get a DC w/ cov, BD, SwS all oop along w/ plenty of GHP. Somewhere between B and A grade, it's better to go on and switch to an OE'd weapon of your grade.
This method doesn't work as well for a mage character. For mages, get the highest +++ D-grade, C-grade, etc. that you can. I haven't powerleveled a mage character since C2, so I can't tell you more than I'm sure you already know - oop EE w/ POW, SE for emp, Proph for zerk & acumen, BD for dances, lots of bsps, high OE weapon. Then you go to the highest mobs you can still 1-shot in a highly populated area and have at it. If you have more than one person helping, you can have the higher levels pull the mobs from far away, root them near you, etc.
None of this is standard for most people, of course, but if you're talking about REALLY powerleveling somebody, you need LOTS of oop support and OE'd weapons.
ive never done it..a friend of mine has. He played prob 7 or more hours a day (lol). And it was all solo. He had a 78 PP and 78 SE. so he had all the goodies including pof. He took a gladie from 1-75 in 30 days.
You don't PL with 8 toons, unless a majority of them are OOP buffers (which is usually the case, unless you are "PLing" someone in an End-Game area like Hellbound, but there are duo-able places there, also).
It's not hard to level a Warlord/Destroyer up to mid 5x levels. Getting a toon to 6x is not hard and you can PL them from 3x to 78+ if you have the support and an extra toon to pole at the lower levels.
It can certainly be done in under a month. TBH, 1-75 in a month playing 10+ hours a day seems pretty bad, unless you were PLing with some non-pole character.
The 40-78 thing was done before all the nerfs was rolled in. That was a catalyst for many of the polearm-directed nerfs that came into the game: VR, Frenzy, No XP when the Level Gap is > 19, and MOBs warping back to where they spawned if pulled too far from their spawn point.
I don't think we'll be seeing many 40-78ers in 3 days anymore.
I believe those toons (or, subclass, rather) were PL'd by a Destroyer pulling entire floors of Tower of Insolence.
I did the thing on BD\SWS\Tank and Nuker. It's 14 hours a day. Wake up at 9 a.m. go 2 bed at 23.00
There are far better setups to PL toons than that crap.
