Artisan or Scavenger?

Dwarf Classes Started Last reply 19 posts
Hey, i am newly Dorf and L2 player... I play on Phoenix. Obviously, i am so poor... Which 1st class change for Dorf is best for money making? Thanks.

People have told me different things so i cant really decide at all.
id say scavenger, spoiling and selling materials always generate money.

as Maestro you need to buy recs etc first to put into your book to put up craft store as artisan, and that makes it harder to make some good profit on it, although. once you have a 70 WS you can leave him in town to generate adena for you while you have a 2nd account and is out leveling that.

but.... i HATE all such level 70 WS alts

also if you think of SS and sps crafting you might as well use other craft dwarfs, you might not make as much adena as if you crafted them yourself but you still make a profit.
Any more opinions? M lv 18 already...
only maestro. Because you can do some kinda of dmg. You exp faster, and you can ALWAYS craft shots, which is always a profit :)
destro/dagger/nuker
faster kills means more xp so you can spend time doing something which actually makes money
Or do what I do, level a WS to 75 and sub it a BD :)

That way you have more than just a lvl 70 alt. :)

You can even throw oly points to your friend WSs :)
*passes BEER to new Dwarfy Kin :D
Nanashi is right ... if it's about making $$$ all classes are able to make $$$ one way or the other!

If you want to play a dwarf do it for fun. The grind is super hard when solo but I think Dwarfy's are able to solo easier than other classes.
Find a good clan ... BH & WS are usually always welcome.

WS = Craft ($$$ @ higher craft)
BH = spoil ($$$ right away)
I just love those cute females drofies! mmm-m-m! And I enjoy playing with it! It's really-really easy, tbh. Well, at least I killed faster than BD\Glady\SWS and sometimes even archer....
On luna I made one of each. This site is very helpful for my scavenger http://l2.dropspoil.com/ . It will give you the drop rates and locations for quite a bit of stuff. Whether or not its perfect doesn't matter at the very least its a starting point. Go scavenge a recipe for soul shots then put your artisan to work. The kamael I play with my wife is my main character the only thing I do with my two dwarfs is make money by harvesting mats and crafting soul shots.

The most simple way to make money is to create two dwarfs use spoil to get yourself the soul shot recipe and mass produce them. To suppliment my income I also do the wolf collar quest. Originally I was able to sell these for 750k per collar on luna but the price has dropped and I'm dumping them for 500k per collar now. I was able to purchase d crystals for 425 I purchased 3999 which cost me $1,698,725 I purchased 11,997 soul ore for 3,738,384. The cheapest place for my dwarf to purchase soul ore is at giran its 312. My total expense is 5,437,109 allowing you to make 1,333 batches of soulshots or 623,844 soul shots selling them at 20 per soul shot earns $12,476,880. Your profit margin is 7,039,771. Go grab 3 wolf collars everytime you set up your shot to suppliment your ss income.

On luna there is always a price war raging and I've seen soulshots sell for as little as 11 a. My advice is to find a price and stick to it regardless. Eventually the competition runs out of soulshots and they turn to my store and they pay my price. I wouldn't drop below 16 with the price for the materials that I pay. At that price your profit drops down to 4.5 million

I don't have the blessed spirit shot recipe and I've decided not to bother with it. I am only able to make around 500 blessed spiritshot per mana bar compared to almost 1500 soulshots.

I craft ss when I'm doing my hw and when I actually have time to hunt I scavenge mats to use/sell. Use the spoil website and make sure you track down all the low level recipes that you need I'm going to have to make a 3rd dwarf to go back and get the cokes, bone powder, steel, compound braid, cord, high grade suede, steel mold, and synthetic cokes recipes

Hope this helps and good luck.
I would suggest start with an artisan. I think it's easier to make money in the beginning as you can craft and sell shots.
However, nothing stops you from playing a spoiler too, I do for example.

Each character has vitality so when it drops on one, simply play the other.

Don't forget to get a wolf pet at lvl 15 from the gludio pet manager ( near the dark elf guild).
You won't regret it and you can level it normally , not like I did ... bought one at 58 :).

I did not bother with blessed spiritshots either. however yesterdya for the first time i made some BSSA and sold 10k of them really quickly at 414 per. The profit from the same number of crystals is double than with normal shots, however it takes double the mana to produce a batch ( 240 mp for blessed as opposed to 120 for normal). It's a matter of choice, produce them slower but get more profit, or not :).

I always craft shots when I fight, I just make sure I have enough mana for 2 special ( stun etc ) attacks in case things get nasty. You get those lovely mana herbs which completely refill yours to 100%, man I love those :).

This way, when I am done I have a decent quantity of shots and can go back to selling straight away.

Hmmm ok I've crunched the numbers. It takes 8 spirit ore and 2 d crystals to make 100 bssd 1 spirit ore in Giran cost 500 adena so thats 4000 adena and 2 d crystals are 850 which means its 4850 adena for production. Selling them at 70 adena per shot gives you 7k adena or a profit of 2,150 adena. Soul ore in giran is 312 adena meaning 2808 adena for 9. You need 3 d crystals which is 1275 adena. The production cost is therefore 4,083 adena. It cost 767 more adena to produce 368 less shots. Multiply 20 * 468 and you make 9,360 adena and a profit margin of 5,277. The additional profit from crafting soulshots over bssd is 3,127 adena. The only way making bssd as profitable as making soulshots you'd have to sell the bssd at 101 adena. which would make your gross 10,100 - 4850 would be 5,250 net profit. At least at the D range just say no to blessed spirit shots
profit starts at A,S grade Blessed shots....

I mean good profit
I recommend making a Scavenger, spoils = extra money and thats nice to have when u r just starting.

Just look at the market, what is being sold and what ppl buy, then go spoil the mobs that have these mats as spoil. :) (ask around or look on diverse websites with the info)

Nuku, just omagine doing this!!! for, instance I need DB shafts. It's not that EASY for a spoiler to go SOLO those shafts... SO.. I need parties. If I"m in party = party loot = ??? (I believe by turn) whis is NOT good for a dwarf-spoiler.

Now, if you're a low lvl dwarf, what can you spoil if all the common items "C" = "A" grade are almost enough to exp from 40-76 w\o extra gear?? So, you really think you'll be spoiling 2k+ of coal and sell them 400 adena per each? Come on! Nonsense! (no offence plz!).

BUT! If you're a WS, you can always CRAFT\CRAFT\CRAFT at least SHOTS to earn\earn\earn extra money!!!

For money making? Level it to 40 (for "expand trade" fishing skill), keep it there and use as an AFK buy/sellshop. The class doesn't really matter (however, I personally prefer Scavs/BHs).

And then play another toon.
Money won't really be an issue until you hit B grade, you get NG for free, you can use common d and c without any issue.
Heck you can use common stuff till S grade :).

Use Giran shops to buy common C, a top weapon is like 350k if I remember corectly, well worth it.

I'm scavenging iron ore off of ol' mahum raiders myself right now. I'm in no hurry to level and everyone drops 1 ore with spoil just about. I've got it mapped what mobs I will kill at each point on the way up to level 40 when I go and get my soulshot c recipe.

Why does our stun attack never seem to land? I may be able to stun a monster 1 time in 10 bout blessed spiritshots and they don't really help a lot either.
