Hi
so ive just reinstalled due to a resolution problem. I changed the resolution down and i got a black screen, and when i relaunch its still a black screen, anyone know how i can fix this?

thanks
have you tried putting it into windowed mode by pressing alt enter when blackscreen comes up? dunno if it will help only thing i could think of atm
Is your screen on. Somehow it happened to me and i couldn't figure it out until i noticed the light was not on :/
did you check your video card or its driver?, happen to me when it started to go bad, ok when I am just using it online and watch video but not playing game.
find option.ini within the "X:\XXXXXX\Lineage II\System" directory and change the resolution manually.

If you don't know what you're supposed to change in that file then delete it and the game will replace it with a "blank" one.
Don't delete Files! If your having Issues that bad call NC!

not sure why you think that?
not sure why you think that?
cause the ini is just an autogenerated settings file, no harm can come from deleting it
and cause waiting for ncsoft tech support to respond is a masochistic endeavor
ok perhaps I talk to different people, but I have never not been able to talk to NC support people!
and as far as deleting files; well you could be a decent person, but I don't know that for sure! You could be a hacker and I don't know that for sure either, but before I open a back door in my computer to a possible hacker! Well I'm going for the safe route and making a phone call!

what on earth are you talking about? deleting an ini file opens a back door to your system? Are you a) b*t sh*t insane b) clueless about computers c) drunk or d) all of the above

ps more than half the people that play L2 aren't actually in the States, most of them have to call international to get phone support, but then again ...

I use phone calls to NC support to enter your home and steal your cookies.

Even the Support center will tell you to delete options.ini files so that they can be regenerated. What are you talking about? It's even one of the error message resolutions.

Don't take technical advice form this guy, ever.

Deleting the INI files in the system folder doesn't break the game, I think all of them will be auto generated if they are missing, even if they don't you can run a full check on the launcher and it'll replace them with default ones

It's much easier to just open them up and edit what you need, but if you're not sure what you're doing, deleting them works just fine.

What technical I just said call NC and not listen to people on the boards who say just add or delete files! It's the simplest way to avoid hackersand computer scams!

When you call their tech support they'll tell you to do that same thing (not at first though. Probably tell you to do a reboot and full check first. tech support is so redundant.)

The best way to defend against scams and hacks is knowing how they work so you can spot them before it's too late

knowing how stuff work saves you time and money.
deleting "options.ini" is your best bet, like several ppl told you here.
No Worrys fixed it a while back, suprised ppl kept commenting the thread lol
