All servers will be brought down at 8am PDT / 10am CDT / 11am EDT / 4pm GMT on Tuesday, June 30th for our regularly weekly maintenance. Estimated downtime is approximately 2 hours.

Bug Fixes:
An issue has been corrected that was preventing players from expanding their Order of Knights.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Server Maintenance period for today (6/30/09) will be extended. Estimated time until the servers are back up is approximately 1 hour.
At this time, all maintenance on North American servers has been completed and those servers are now available. We are still performing maintenance on the European servers. We estimate the maintenance on these servers to be complete within the hour. Thank you!
if problem like that is getting fixed in 3 months, i just wonder what gonna happen with rly big problem...actually i know already "we are waiting for next update". :D
After i patched i cant start the game, it d/l everytime i start the client then i get a "Failed to run L2.exe. Please check the file and try again" popup....and my antivirus goes wazoom, stating that l2.exe contains a trojan horse...
Flurr.. you on the west coast?.. I'm getting the same thing. Won't load L2 exec. retry..download and repeat. On my laptop I get the same with the Trojan detection. I'm excited about this event as I've recently returned to L2 being disgusted by the lack of drops percentage and this at least seems to be a nice bone to forgo the miniscule drop rate and in game grind. I hope this is resolved soon. :confused:
Yes I was getting the same thing...and it was AVG thats was blocking it, although up until the updates it had been fine and the L2 folder is excluded from the resident shield scan..not sure whats up there.
I have AVG as well. I really don't want to disable it for an event / maintenance patch. Has anyone found a fix? Flurr I get the same thing as you pictured.
We received reports about AVG detecting L2.bin as a virus. We have already contacted them and received word that it should be corrected with their next update. We do not have the exact time their next update will be. If you'd like, you can add it to the exceptions list so you can continue to login.
Thank you Moxie for the info. It's very much appreciated and I for one am impressed on the response time. It makes me feel good about having returned to L2. :)
