It's the principal of the thing. I want to actually play the game and shouldn't have to rely upon professional farmers to obtain scrolls for the event. I'm now up to 2 after 4 hours. This is rediculous.
Try a higher level toon. Maybe the lower MOBs have deplorable drop rates. I mean, don't all the farmers use lots of low level toons to farm to avoid competition (except with other farmers)?
it's a global drop. Like all event items, it drops with the same rate from any mob. Meaning 1/2 HP mobs will give you about 8 times as many than 4x ones in catacombs for the same time invested
Additionally, like with all events the droprate is insanely high right after server restart.
I got 4 in the first 10 mobs I killed cause I was on right after it went up. Now I'll be lucky to get 1/100

I think with the buy every 24 hours for next to no adena that this isn't a true drop event but rather a way to play the event w/ little money if you want to.
course, haven't gotten the item to go past Plus 9 yet
This is why I don't overenchant my weapons. This is fun though.
