The servers will soon go down for maintenance, and the opinions about this event are splitted. One of the pro argument I've read on these boards is that the event wasn't for bots, for once. Some players are so stuck that they always trash events because bots will do better than them. So there, they are happy!
Not much drop from mobs, lots of clicks to do in town and that's it!
Ah ha ha! You fools! Of course bots will ALWAYS do better than you, whatever the event is. Bots are Masters of Boring Clicks, so this event was in fact perfect for them. You don't believe me?

Petition 1 : **** is using a program to speed-up event enchanting process.
NCsoft : Thank you! We're investigating because we're smart! Blablaaaa...
30mins later...
Petition 2 : **** is still there, are you waiting that he runs out of scrolls?
2mins later, **** logs off.
NCsupersoft : We understand your concern! But you must provide the names!
Evaluation : I gave you the name but it's too late, he logged off so you won't find him. You missed him. Like always.
There's no way I don't share it just because bot topics would end up in flame wars. NCsoft is throwing a whole gazoline tank in the flames, so if you want a culprit beside bots themselves... there are you, the soft team of soft support. You are inefficient.
AHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA
OMG I LOVE THE DEAD HORSE Gif!!!! *kick it Kick it Kick it! Come on Dead Horse you can do it! *I think you can ... I think you can!!!!!
*passes BIG Keg of BEER for nailing it on the head!!!!!
As far as I know the scrolls drop from the mobs too so the event is as always made for the bots mostly. Just a severl hours after the even started (I still didn't even know what is the event about) an elf was sellng in Giran 6,000+ enchant scrolls. He either had about 300 account or was botter.
Automation > manual always in L2. You would have to design an event that is severly ant-bot in order for them not to benefit from it more than legitimate players. But that isn't going to happen because the game's developers/producers etc. don't even acknowledge botting as an issue.

Perhaps he was, but dont forget people buy event items directly at launch just to resell them.
And you think one can grind 6000 + scrolls after first hours? dont think so.

How economically viable is putting a mark up on scrolls which players can buy at the original price from a NPC?
