I wonder who was the genious who decided to give a -INT +MEN bonus on S80 robe sets (non-wizard sets). Was he drunk or something? MEN is a completely worthless (gz NC for making it so for all these years) statistic and that is what you decided to increase? You could at least give the stats (and bonuses) of the wizard type robe to all types of robes, instead of forcing all non-wizard classes to stick with M.arcana. NC devs FTW!
Well, I like the MEN. Any help I get on mana regeneration makes me a happy camper, and any recharger in my party.
What I am hoping they will rectify in Gracia Plus is that for all the trouble you go thru to get the Divine Essense 2 for the Healer robes, the only difference between that and Divine Essense 1 is +2 healing power. Now that is a joke.
MEN is the illigitimate child of NC. It's effect (on MP pool and Mdef) is the lowest from all statistics, making it completely unimportant. It is no coincidence that all casters (no matter class) go -5 MEN.
Honestly, would you not preffer a +INT or a +WIT instead?
PS: Bonus wise, the 15% casting speed is good, but for my DC the rest of the bonus are really bad compared to arcana. Healers maybe on a little better position due to the +healing power, no matter how small it is.

not on a healer Int is completely useless for healing
Honestly, would you not preffer a +INT or a +WIT instead?Like was said above, healers can't mess with their INT. And I am maxed out on my WIT... Truthfully, I'd like a +DEX !!! I'm tired of running at the back of the pack, even with my DEX tats! :D

It's more of a joke than anything.

For Domi, INT > MEN for sure. For healers in PvE, that's totally the contrary. For PvP, enchant your skill instead of counting on INT to land debuffs.
-INT +MEN is great for healers.
Are there class resictions on the sets? For instance can a summoner wear either the wizard or the healer robe set or is it tied to the summoner set once upgraded?
Don't get excited about MEN boosting your mana regen you can go -8 MEN and not even see a diffrence from when you had it normal
Not true. Look a bit closer.
I'm not saying it's a huge difference, but it's definitely noticable. Dropping -8 MEN should make around 1 MP per tick difference. I dropped -5 MEN on my mystic and noticed around 0.3 MP per tick less (i.e. instead of regenning "18, 18, 18" .... it would regen "18, 18, 17, 18, 18, 17" - keep in mind MP is rounded to the nearest whole number so you may have to watch for longer than a few ticks to see differences).
And yeah the S80 robes bonus for healer-type is not very good. But I wouldn't say it's ~useless~. MEN at least does something for a healer (regen, MP pool and M.Def), even if it's a tiny increase. INT on the other hand does nothing (well, a lower M.Atk will make a difference to your nuking power in Inquisitor stance, and a TINY change to your ability to land some debuffs, but other than that ...).
