Hey guys, just wondering what's best S grade for Elven Elders. I've been asking around and i've gotten a few different answers:
-AM and +6 DC [for casting speed]
-AM and +6 Maj [for mp]
-AM and MA [for defense?]
If you've got some tat ideas too that'd be nice :) Currently i've just got +4 Maj robes and a SoM (+1 men augment - some are telling me to just stick with that) I plan on doing both PvP and PvE. Thanks in advance :)
Well, you pretty much stated yourself already all which there is to say.
Get DC if you want highest casting speed
Get Maj robe set if you want big mp pool and best mp regen
Get MA if you want to have elemental attribute for defense
There is no one best set, it depends how you play your class (lots of pvp, only recharging others and not much pvp, etc.)

Skip S-grade armor and don't bother with +6. DC or Majestic based on your party role (carry both if you can). If you don't PvP a lot, SoM is fine as a weapon (nuke augment could help a bit, though, even in PvE, but it's better to be put on AM).
thanks guys
got some DC now from an old friend who quit and i can carry it around and switch between DC/Maj when i need the different bonuses. :P
AM just needs acu now
Arcana is fine on an Elven Elder. You casting speed in PvP is still good in it. The P.Def of +4/3 Arcana is >= +6 DC. Your casting speed should still be over 1.3k in it with full buffs a.k.a. PvP buffs.
If all you do is PvE, then I guess DC and Majestic are fine, but the difference in damage recieved it very large when you compare an Attributed S Set to A Grade.
SoM sucks for debuff landrate. I wouldn't use it as a PvPer. Yes, EEs do Trance, Block, and Mana Burn on occasion.
Get nuke aug first, and then put the corresponding attribute on the mace.
You cannot put PvP augment on DC Robe Set or Sword of Miracles. Majestic can get it, but the Attribute on Arcana Overpowers the Casting Speed on DC/Majestic.
But whatever, go ahead and take 1-1.5k extra damage per nuke/archer crit just so you can cast a bit faster. Doesn't make any sense to me, especially when you consider how poor of a healer an EE is when it's locked into Healing itself...
Carry Arcana and Majestic Sets, IMO, and use Arcana Mace as weaponry.

No need to be harsh, only looking for advice here :)
So basically you're saying sell the DC/SoM, spring for some arcana, and keep augmenting the mace until i get a good nuke augment?
Try drac leather, EE got light armor mastery too, if you only want pdef.
Ahh, that's an idea too... pdef. and a little bit of a disguise ;)
DC or Arcana or Draconic, you will still be oneshotted by a dagger or put down by ranged assists if you happen to be in their targets. Your main goal now is to reach and equip S80; if you have extra money to buy (and element) S-grade armor (which is dropping in price, and will drop further in Gracia Plus), that's fine, but not necessary.
Keeping augmenting Arcana until you get a nuke is ok, but if you get passive spell clarity augment instead, you may want to buy another Arcana for a nuke ;)
And your enemies on Phoenix may know your class well before your toon appears on their screens, so don't think light armor will deceive anyone.

I didn't know people put that much thought into their Eva's Saints, I generally created mine because it had nice legs and I'm a depraved lunatic.
However, I would be curious;
1. do you generally roll around in a fully stacked party?
2. do you do the solo rifting thing?
3. does your clan generally group a lot?
4. what chemical element did Friedrich Strohmeyer discover as an impurity in zinc carbonate?
Did you ever play EE in pvp Krissa?
Well, actually, not recently. If zayki started to element their weapons en masse over 170, then moving to S-grade may have its benefits.
Most people are camping the Gracia place with alts to attribute their weapons over 150. There are a few with 300 weapons here (well, more than a few) and more than a few with weapons over 150, but not capped [at 300] yet.
I still don't think it's useful to PvP in A Grade cause Healers get targetted fast and when you are forced to heal yourself due to the damage you're taking you're as good as dead, anyways... Heal lock has been a working tactic in PvP games since 1999.
