Don't know, haven't gotten much advice yet either on what to go for.
So Far this is what I have tried:
Seal of Despair is +1
AOE Root is +4
Dreaming Spirit is +4
I have been thinking of about seal of winter a few +++ since I use it fairly often in combo with Seal of Despair. If they both land, attack speed is basically -55% Which is helpful :)
Seals are so hard to say, since they are such a low land rate since they are aoe. But if you have a large amount of mobs attacking you, they usually land a good half. And you can then help control the flow of the fight.
In Siege area I had seen one Dominator running into the middle of fights and just constantly casting Seal of Gloom. He had it +6, it landed once, then I stunned him, and he retreated behind his archers.
Sorry, that is about all I've experimented with so far.
i was hit by some hefty enchanted Dominator seals.
it was during a castle defense, and the dom was in the nova alliance.
i don't remember clearly... but they were clearly enchanted pretty high i believe 20+... that's just crazy.
the seals were suspension, limit, and i think chaos... i don't think he landed despair on me. of course, i'm only a lowly 76 dom... but that seems like one heck on an investment.
VoP OE for Penalty! (bad sucessrate... I have mine on +3)
Soulcry Power
Winter Chance
Steal Essence Power
Despair Chance (sucessrate for OE is VEEEERY BAD!)
Dreaming Spirit Chance
Root Chance
Silence Chance
Suspension Chance
Heals (HP/CP) Power - only little effect... but if you have enough GCs ;)
Heart of paagrio...
little affect:) is an under statement:)
however, i'm sure every little bit helps:)
the one thing we have over chant of life besides casting speed...
is the instant heal in addition to the healing over time.
sigil's might be nice...
soul cry is pretty dismal after level 2... but if you can manage to gt it to +10
it's only like 2 per level after +2... i wonder if it was nerfed?
i actually failed at enchanting soul cry to +1:( i was so upset.

Thanks for the info and if anyone else ahs a difference of opinion please throw in your 2 cents i like to get as much input as possible.
"So I'm told," is not a good enough reason to advocate a Skill Enchant Option that you obviously are ignorant about (cause you don't seem to have done it yourself).
Do it and let us know if it's as much a must ("def a must") as you make it out to be.
IRT Steal Essence Enchant Option, I would probably do Cost over Sap. It's already an 80% Drain, so I'm not banking on anything like 1% per Enchant (or even 1% every other Enchant). That one I haven't done, but I'm willing to listen to others' experiences with Sap Enchant Option on Steal Essence.
cost sounds reasonable... if only power made it match power of an actual nuke:) or "sap" as it is so called... increased to 2-300%... at higher enchants.
yeah, i know no way ever it'd happen:) but it'd be nice to have it become over powered again:) that sentence is a little odd... but i kinda like it.
it's too bad so many things in the game can't be fixed without making them overpowered, while other overpowered things can't be fixed without hurting the class greatly:( balance is an ever changing field of worms...

No other class has an 80% drain in the game. The others have been nerfed down (Vamp Claw and Dark Vortex for example). If DC/Domi want an 80% drain they will have to deal with the lack of attribute. I doubt NCSoft is dumb enough to give Attribute (or Attribute OE Option) to a skill with an 80% drain and chain-level reuse.
Want Attribute, tell them you're find with the same Drain % as almost any other class in the game: 40%, and 50% at the most...
NO wonder no one is posting in there forum anymore, all you guys do is crack people of. im out pz
Well EXCUSE me for calling you out for calling Light Armor Enchant a "definite must" when you have obviously not even bothered to try it out yourself to confirm it.
Want us to try it for you, so you can save some SP/a Giant Codex?

No thanks.
Its a must cause the other domi in our clan has already done. i just lack the SP at moment(need 15kkmore for VOP). Maybe i shouldnt have used the word must... i ment too say i am gonna get it for sure...like a MUSt for me.

Trensharo, you "conviniently" forgot to mention several facts in your comments:
-Orc mages INT is 31 and can't be changed by dyes. Human mages INT is 41 (DE that also have vamp. claw skill is 44) and can be changed by dyes. Add to that the existance of dark element in vampiric claw (so its power can be increased by a dark attributed weapon) and the absence of element on st. essence, you realise that the difference in damage is chaotic. The 40-50% of returned HP from vampiric claw can be much higher than the 80% of st. essence in absolute numbers.
-Vampiric claw on 74 level costs 123 MP, steal essence on 74 costs 177 MP. That is 44% more MP per skill usage.
-Due to difference of basic WIT stat, Human and DE mages achieve more magical crits and cast much faster than an orc mage.
You can't even begin to compare these 2 skills. So yes, steal essence could get an elemental (probably fire) without unbalancing the game.
You say that I probably don't understand the impact of elemental. Why? You don't give any data as I did. Do you expect to convince me on face value? Put some arguments to back your words.
They have already been posted above. It's the only drain that returns 80% of the dmg as hp. And now you want to boost that damage with like 87% or more?
Go look at Oly, and the orc mystics popping Enlightenment and just draining the other guy to death. And then understand why we cant make that drain stronger.
I guess you missed the point. Vampiric claw has already dark element and a human or DE mage using it, does considerably more damage than an orc mage. This fact is not going to change even if s.essence is given an element, due to the difference in damage. So, the 50% HP drain (or w/e) of a human/DE mage is in absolute number same or possibly bigger of the 80% that an orc mage recieves from a similar attack.
Too many people see only 80 vs 50. That's not what's going on here. It's 80% of X vs 50% of Y. You have to look at the real numbers, as has been stated.
this topic has gone a little off...
though we would like to see an element added to drain, how much damage would it actually add? due to the fact that elements are resisted, would it hurt the drain's low power or would it add 1-2 hundred damage?
is there any info on how much more damage would be added?
personally i'm more for getting max skill level in either stun attack, or hammer crush... neither of which are enchantable at all:( and currently neither are any new skills added in gracia, though burning chop will become available in gracia+
does anyone have numbers for increase in the dominator passives?
like heavy armor enchanted for casting speed?
or robe armor enchanted for m.def?
how about casting speed or max mana increase passives?

as i understand it adding an element can add between 2to4 times the damage to skillz for most class's.(i tested on a DD)
i say lower the drain and give fire augment, sure they can resist and so on but i believe the extra damage would be better.
Hey guys, anybody tried to enchant the Heavy Armor mastery for Casting Speed? Any clue how much each enchant gives to the casting? I don't if I want to enchant it for casting speed for PvP or for Attack Speed for PvE.
