I don't actually, I don't even know what server you play on, I just know you need 45 active people to do it. Is there only one clan on your server with 45 active people in it? if yes then ... time to transfer out of that server
As bordrX has said, Seed Of Destruction takes a lot of work to open. If you don't participate in that, u don't get the right to farm the crystals. You will either have to join a clan that does the work to reap the benefits, or wait until the clans that do have an overage and sell them in town.
It's always been that way on LineageII. You have to fight for the right to the hunting grounds that produce the valuable stuff.
Might makes right in this game. If some clan/alliance does the raids to open the seed of destruction and then pks everybody who goes there except their own people (and I suspect not even everybody of their own guys can farm there), then that's how things are. You can always do the aerial pvp thing and get your crystals that way, it just take much (much) longer. Or make money and buy the crystals in Giran.
You can also dedicate ur time to farming some other feature of this game and buy the necesary crystals in the market. Is what i do. That way i get no xp loss.
this is fun especially when the perma reds try to kill you and then you "LOL" in their face.

thats what this game is about. Back in the days it was the same in Cruma Tower, or Lair, or ToI or Lilith or or or ... NC already made too many places not worth fighting for and NC sadly allowed to many ppl to get their power because they bot .. so they made the competition unfair. This game was about diplomatics, power and friendship - that was the reason why most ppl did play this game.
These days people think whining "it's not fair!!!" is diplomacy and politically correct, and expect the developers to implement something to make their game not that hard.
It's not "these days", people always whined, when LOA bridges were on lockdown, when toi was on lockdown, when IT was on lockdown, whining and L2 pretty much go hand in hand through the chronicles ;)

No it is the way every MMO works, and the way it worked with almost every other thing in L2 so far. Things are hard to obtain at first, so "pros" can get them before anyone else, then in next updates they get easier and easier, so "noobs" can finally have them too, be happy and continue playing.
So, Venomlady, why do you want the element crystals?
And whoever said that above, NCSoft, I'm sure, has plans to make compression stones much easier when the area is thoroughly investigated by the playerbase. Look how easy it is to orichalcum now and adamantine... how easy it is to get into hellbound, having to farm icarus parts in the foundry was a major block to having those weapons.
If you are not in a proactive clan that has done their homework and knows how to gather forces and defeat Tiat in the manner that allows Seed of Destruction to open, then you just have to wait until the game dynamics makes it easy for you. You will just have to wait your turn, since on your own you chose to not be a forerunner and prefer to play a laidback game.
It really is true, you don't need 300 weapons or Vesper armor/weapons.... but down the line you will, and at that time it will be much easier for you to obtain.

It's been about who can make the most RL money of this game.
Most people are use to it by now so we just hang with our friends and ejoy ourselves. Getting to the top and competing has been and probably always will be beyond alot of players. Some people actually do have the time to devote to L2 to get to the top, but that is definatly a minority.

that can't be true as Rdogs & Bregan farmed it as much as LP & Varuna did so when we left the server it should only have slowed down alil or you guys don't notice when it's open, all it takes to open sod is kill Tiat 10x..

But being a liar or a botter or a cheater has nothing to do with locking down SOD. Its just the strongest, or best of the time zone! By design they make things near impossible to get by that patch. As the top players get/approach it, a new patch comes and hands it out for free pretty much. Oh well.

No sorry I m not gonna give you a walkthrough on how to do it, go learn the mechanics of the seed, when it opens, how it opens, how long it opens for ... 9/10 when we open the seed nobody knows it's open

I Was very clear as to what VenomLady was saying. Right now your self-righteous opinion has added to the confusion about the answer.
The reason why you don't get access to Seed of Destruction is this:
A) You were not a participant in or part of a clan that did all the work to open it. You will have to wait your turn to farm stones until after the developers have added easier ways to do it, which really suits your play level and style.
B) When a new area is opened in this game that has access to valuable items or xp, it is always under contention by the highest level clans to dominate it and keep others from getting anything. If you are patient, you will get access to them when they are no longer a place of contention.
C) If you want access on your own, organize a raid that enters the instance and kills Tiat and opens Destruction. It is an INSTANCE. No one will stop you from doing it. As a matter of fact, the more clans contributing to the opening of the SOD, the better.
D) If you are not allowed in by the clans who DID do the work (obviously because you have some judgment on how they managed to accomplish that) be content to settle for the playstyle and time you have chosen freely of your own and stop eating sour grapes.
Ok, so take the high level clans out of the picture. Tiat would never be killed and you would be in an even worse position than you are now as it would never be open, congrats!

I can't speak for my clan leader, but on my server, if this happened... I can only say the respect for that clan accomplishing that would be quite a lot... and my guess is there would be no issues with sharing the farming with them, and I'm sure many of the clan members would support that. Unfortunately, our server at the moment has very few who make the effort to organize something of that scale, or do the research to know the ways to defeat the attack of the Seed of Destruction... or much else of anything, for that matter.

Idk about big Clans on L2 but on FF11 they would without even talking it over with other clan members.The action would be quick and seem like everyone in the clan was one person.Saddly this is a PVP world but i think we could all be fair.

Well, i don't recall saying that. What I said is if you didnt do the instances and kill Tiat as well, which involves a lot of planning and execution over a long period of time -- and we are basically the only clan on the server doing it -- then you don't deserve to be in there farming stones. I definitely stand up to that now as well.
However, if other clans are in there defeating Tiat and reducing the overall number of times needed to do that and opening the Seed of Destruction for farming, please, they would be "allowed" to also farm. Of course, then they would have to bicker along with everyone else for a spot in a room to do that :D

Most of the people QQing here don't even have the levels to even use these stones for anything. The level you need is pretty much 80. It is very realistic to reach level 80 at this stage of the game just playing one toon for the amount of time you have played the game, like I have.

Small clans do 1 Tiat raid, die then stop and wait for somebody else to open the thing. Or they do one succesful raid and think they opened the seed for 5 months.
Strike deals with the bigger clans, help them keep the seed open in exchange for crystal farming rights. Keeping the seed open permanently is a hassle for most big clans even but definitely don't expect to sneek in during a 12 hour open period and farm, of course they won't let you.

People like me? Well, you should practice what you preach, as you don't know a thing about me, or at least very much. And as far as what is wrong with this game, I'm confused simply because the Seed of Destruction drama is the same drama of Antharas Lair and Cruma Tower and Hellbound. It's been around forever. Has nothing to do with me.
But I will tell you that to use the excuse of "we have lives outside this game" as a reason to not be able to do such and such, well, that is just the way things go. L2 is an intense game and, unfortunately, requires the dedication of a lot of personal time.

Well, i suppose this situation could happen. I guess TheThingIs is suggesting it happens on his server, but it is really kind of hard to believe it could happen for many, many reasons... so I would say it is highly unlikely. But even if it does or has happened... L2 is a game that uses many devices to accomplish. In these cases, it is the PvP that comes into play... no longer just PvE and the ability to complete quests. Now is the time of politics and balances achieved through strategy. Time to bring that out and put it to work.

and allow me to repeat what I said a couple of pages back, if you are actively raiding tiat there are mechanics in place that allow you to open the seeds at your convenience. And if big scary clan doesn't acknowledge the fact you are helping keep the seed open (which I doubt would ever happen, but lets go with the if) you can still open the seed at a time that is convenient for you and farm it for 12 hours. No servers have seeds open full time, no clan hangs around SOD in case somebody else opens it.

But they could and should - it is a pretty big advantage to keep >150 elements for yourself.

It's a real simple Fix, add a quest in which you gain a badge or item from being in a command channel that killed Tiat, once the seed opens, only those with this Badge are able to enter the Seed and Farm the crystals. Problem Solved, and those who actually Killed Tiat, and contributed to the seed even being open in the first place can PvP for control over the seed while it's open.

Wait, what? If your clan organized the raid and killed Tiat so that eventually, when the number of times were done, SoD opened, of course they feel like they should be able to farm the stones. Isn't that why TheThingIs is pretty peeved about the turn of events?

The 'they' in this sentence was referring to the smaller clan that killed Tiat. A big alliance who was in a war (or were just hostile lol) with this smaller one could keep the smaller/weaker clan from farming stones even if the smaller clan was the only one killing Tiat.
Apparently the clans shutting down the stone farmers are actually fair minded (at least the people who are posting in this thread). So as it is working now there isn't a problem.
I like the killed-Tiat-badge required to enter suggestion too.
just to stir it up a bit, 1 hour ago 3 groups of my clan pked all sod, camp entrance with many pk chars and we farm all sod for just ourselves :D

The lobby at Seed of Infinity is a peace zone.
There really isn't a lobby for the Seed of Destruction. But out there on the ramp where you arrive at SoD, that is not a peace zone. It is definitely NOT a peace zone!!! :D
There is some way to do SoD even when ppl are pk u ;) go there with chars under 39 lvl but before take Bless of Protection. Chaotick characters will not kill u, but to make it work u must have many ppl and much time :(

once again, like other people have stated. L2 is all about team work in the end of it. so therefore the people that have the power to lock it down will do so.

Agreed. 300 weapons, what are they for? You think they are for killing mobs? They are to power u up for Oly and pvp. If you are neutral, these things are not for u. You don't need those crystals. Sorry.
You can try to sneak in ... especially in the off hours... and get a few here and there. Good luck with that.

And what is 2 years in a online game? nothing. Took me 2.5 years to be where i am now, but for most of you took 8 months. Now you guys are quiting and people that realy put efforts are still here. And i bet in the next 6 months half of the botters will be gone cause they are bored, in that time ill probably reach lvl 80 and a brand new botter will reach lvl 85 get bored and leave. So theres nothing wrong with my attitude, im just using the dumbness of people that are digging theyr own grave of boreness.

I think that best way to make this game more interesting is to ban boted characters 80+. Sooner or later there will be opposed force against "bots clans" ;) And who know maybe this game will find new players. For now many of my friends don't want start on global because they are sure that will never reach 80+ lvl, have such items and enchanted skills like this BOTS on 85 lvl. And this boted clans now don't have much wars (and qq all the time about it)... Why? Simple legits player don't want fight against ppl in vespers, 20+ enchanted skills, etc.
bot trains bla bla bla.... how hard can it be to kill them with all their uber gear if they are in bot trains? Not so hard to open a 2 way war and kill the afk trains....

The thing is: anyone (neutrals, pvp clans) who farm Tiat should not have any problem defending SoD during +150 element farming.
Its not like you gonna kill Tiat with A/S grade geared parties. You prob won't even make it all the way to the boss :) It takes decent parties to do Tiat raiding.
TBH if "neutrals" are able to farm Tiat why the hell would they lack on gear when they can have drops each raid worth billions in adena?

Its hard and not very fun btw and the reward for all this not-fun raiding is to engage in the single most boring and anti-fun activity in the history of MMO games, compression stone farming.
Last time we opened it, we lost control of the farm and couldn't get enough people on to take it back. I was very angry and annoyed at the time, but looking back on it the experience was one of the most memorable of my (considerable) time in the game. Its not fun to win all the time (just the overwhelming majority of the time). Of course, the tactics of the other side are reprehensible and NCSoft should sanction them for using the bugs and unintended exploits in the game to their advantage, but that is another matter. (as if they care anyway)
So... to those saying you need to have free access: open it yourself, fight to keep it or fight to take it away and then fight to hold it. Have some fun. This is the kind of PvP goal that I support, PvP FOR something instead of just to announce so-and-so is down/bsoe in hero shout. (Castle sieges are another PvP that I support)

You obviously don't have any idea the kind of effort it takes to get weapons to 300... not to mention there are what? 60-80 active Nova... and each Nova has at least 2-3 weapons to 300 element? Then you also have to include the continuous upgrades from S grade, to s80, to icarus, to vesper.
Nova shouldn't have to sit back and do nothing to get competition... those against Nova should have the will and want to compete for the sack of competition. You don't expect to go into any type of competitive situation expecting the opposition to simply let you win do you?

Yes, we have 3 clans, one mainly of US people, one mainly of Euros and one mainly of Aussies. Hard to be a good zerg when 1/3rd of the peeps are sleeping, 1/3rd are working leaving only 1/3rd available at any given time.

Indeed, those are not interesting for legits right now. No matter how much element you have, bots will still pk you anytime they like.
If the bots would be banned, the things would be very different, more players, more fun, but so far, why would someone care about +300 element ?
