Met a new player who asked me if this was a PVP game. I responded in the affirmative and told him that I could tell him stories. But I think it would be better if some of you shared your stories, too. So let's hear them.

hmm... I'd have to say I have two. The first one was in c2 or c3. I just hit 61 on my Silver Ranger and my clan helped me crafted a full Maj set and carn bow that day. Later that day we attacked Innadril (A grade was teh pwnz back then.) And I went into the middle of the seige feild with 2 bishops and a prophet spamming heals on me and I must of killed atleast 15 by myself before I died.
Then the most recent, a few months ago. I was a my 79 Mystic Muse pvping out in varka with my clan, it was about 2 parties vs 2 parties. Then the other side ports in 2 more partys and we get zerged...We were fighting for a few min till there was only about 1 party of them left and only me ( 79 Mystic Muse ) and a 79 OL in my clan..So us two kiting from varka all the way to the gate that goes into Aden, the OL cp healing, I dropped 5 of them before they finally got us.
I lied, I have one more. Same time as the one I just said above, Me ( 79 Mystic Muse ) and an ally memeber ( 79 Necro ) went into FoG and won a 2 v 11. (2 of there people being in S80).
Maybe 3 or 4 years ago, when reds used to prey on new players near Gludin. I had a dwarf in gludin selling DSS all the time. I also had a dagger who would hunt reds, and bots, to get drops to make into Dss, it was all quite profitable. Anyway....
A red C grade PKer is killing lowbies outside of Gludin so I bring the dagger and charge them. They log out. I wait, and they log back in after 10 min or so, and I kill them and get some jewelry, D and C. They cry and log out. I grab a coke and some chips and wait. After a half hour or so they log in and I kill them and get some C-armor and mats. They cry and log out. I ship the gear to my dwarf and crush it and spend time making DSS.
After a couple hours I PM the PKer from my dwarf "hey i bought the gear you dropped to *daggername*. If you pay me what I paid, I'll give it back." They said sure and told me they were down in NoS.
So I log in the dagger again and run to NoS and find them and this time they drop two weapons, top D +7 mage weapon (I still have it) and a +4 bow. But the punchline is that the PKer was C grade and I was low D so it shows that a decently played toon does have a chance against a higher level, if you outsmart them.
For me its a toss up. Second territory war I was in we had a 2 party force or something of Goddard people rush our 1 active party. We went over and hid in our boxed buffers and was able to take out the 2 parties that attacked us, some of them in S80 (we just recently finished 2 s80 sets for our clannies, one for sagi and one for eva saint, so ours was in plain s grade that fight). Since then we always bring our boxed chars to act as decoys if we get attacked by a bigger force and need to retreat :D
The second one was when ds (the 85 dagger in Nova, not the ally) attacked me in the same Territory war. Saw him go into hide and thought I was dead meat, but started spamming aura flash, got lucky and unhid him and was able to kill him with about 800 hp left, and cooldowns on all elixirs, I did have help from a 79 Mystic muse near the end though :D
DVC 2nd bridge fights for control of the Karik spawns (way back when there was 1 Karik before the second bridge and a bazillion of them after it)
Kariks (believe it or not) were the mob that got people to 70+, before 2nd bridge you had just limals and the various Malruk mobs
Anyways, pretty much every day you 'd get huge zergs of people in half b/half c gear fighting it out over karik mobs. First hayday of the dagger classes, you 'd run into the mess and come back with a few 10s of thousand of karma, sometimes missing zubei parts ... and then you 'd have to go do the zubei room in GC to get it back. Anyways, those were FUN fights ... back then people with BOP's were gods.SRs especially.
Probably would have to be the lockdown fights at loa entrance and toi 5 or 7, cant remember which floor exactly, but that was pretty massive for the time being Chronicle 2 and earlier that must have been.
Was about 2 years ago. Me and my real life friend DevilDance were heros everyday we were going at an i-net cafe to play next to each other and were pvping all day long. Every pvp during this time was the most fun pvp I ever get... beside that with Nya and Coren at FoG cause I always was dieing first QQ.
massive out of siege pvp is a result of massive botted highlvl toon ** dont care to loose exp on death cause they dont need to grind it back with rl time
take away walker and this game would be 90% pve and 8% siege and 2% 2way war pvp
only a few would be 80+ and dieing just for fun and to have in mind u need to grind for 3h to get back the lost exp ppl would think twice if they flag or not
those who claim that l2 is full pvp sell infinity duals in giran in herochat ;)

in 2 way war even on 85 lvl the xp loss in pvp especialy with decent rez and clan skills is close to nothing, and it takes not more than few minutes to get it back
my best pvp was on kain. baium spawn day. savage kindom camped the stairs and 2 other sides attacked all the time (darkside and some others). it took forever till baium finally spawned and pushes came all the time. when 1 side was down, the other side came right after them. all the neutrals who just needed the quest helped SK, cause TJ and UR wanted 100m from every1 to enter baium, so the neutrals agree'd to help SK. galaxy also owned some attackers, and some SK killed it in middle of 1 push. at final push attackers had 11 heroes while SK just had 3 or 4, but they/we still resisted...that was absolutely awesome. after 6 hours of pvp baium finally spawned and all ppl got his blood w/o paying but with having war vs the 2 other sides^^
the most funny pvp of me was when 5 TJ guys hunted me in dragon valley, they nearly got me, but i was close to some lowie raid and hitted it to get raid petrify. so they couldnt do anything. in that time i called in some friends, who killed them from the back. so raidboss saved my life^^
I remember a Baium fight around a year ago. Usually these fights don't last long. Both sides clash and the side that loses leaves, regroups and may come again. This fight lasted around 30-35 mins non-stop. Everybody (from both sides) died many times. People didn't leave when they died, rather got resurects on spot. Somewhere in the middle of the fight CP pots run out for all. In the end ppl were fighting unbuffed (no MP for the buffers :) ) and some without SS. The resolve from both sides were simply amazing and this PvP experience will remain with me for all my L2 gamelife.

not true at all. back in the day when there was no bot or there was only few people on bot, there was a lot more pvp because there is really only 1-2 spots in game where xp is great, and if you have limited time to xp you fight to take that spot. Now, people will just do some crap xp spot they dont have to compete for because they can afk 24/7.

It started around 10am in the morning, they pked a few of our members for no reason around buff hill (Forbidden Gateway). They had a party + going around pking so we gathered up what we had and started to PVP them. They also pked another clan that I do not remember the name of. They got members too and so did RK. Very soon it was 100+ people on each side and the fight was all over the cemetery and Forbidden Gateway. The fight went on for at least 8 hours straight of massive full exp loss pvp. It was the most intense and most fun PVP I ever had. I lost almost a whole lvl at 64~ while getting either a bishop or EE rez every time I died. RK was the power of the server at the time but this fight was the beginning of their demise as the whole server turned on them shortly after. It was a great battle and definitely the most memorable. That fight was the beginning of a real fun war with loads of pvp and seiges, which was the struggle for power on bartz.

Ahh this reminds me of another good one, is the c2ish-c3ish era. I was still playing my Silver Ranger..lvl 63 maj light and a +4 carn bow (pwnage.). Before that a powerful ally called EA ruled the server...they had every castle had AL and ToI on lockdown...then they finally disbanded into NightMare (NM) and another clan named I can't remeber...tryed with an M..anyway those two clans had a major war going until one day one of the old EA leaders came back and made an ally called Synergy, and they started pking people in FG..also there was NM and M helping each other...which everyone thought was odd cause of the war. So it was basically Syn (NM+M) vs the whole Gustin server in FG...pvp lasted all day..till I went to sleep that night...I delvled from 63 to 61 and racked up 100+ pvps and 30ish pks that day...
In the end they ruled the server again until finally being run off once more...now they are back as Nova xD

We once got a call that an alliance group in Tower of Insolence was downed by an enemy alliance.
Everyone gathered and it looked like the entire alliance was on. We then found out that they holed themselves up on the top floor. So we started our journey upward, obliterating everything in our way.
As we got to the area where our members were we starte rezzing them as the alliance pushed forward. You could tell that our fallen members were a bit taken aback with one saying that he didn't expect this type of retaliation.
At the top we found a good many of our enemy and the battle ensued. We were victorious.
I'll never forget that march up the tower, the excitment and the sheer determination we had to exact our vengeance.

Same alliance as above, we were gathering to do raids when we discovered that (the same) enemy allliance was in the forsaken plains area. Again we gathered everyone we had which was a formidable force and did a sweep of the cemetary before marching down toward forsaken plains. Much like you would see in a movie, we marched over a hill as our scout reported the enemy ahead.
As I crested the hill the sheer vastness of the enemy forces hit us. Raid group or not, this enemy outnumbered us by quite a bit and our momentum was heading us straight for them. And we were already a formidable force. We Headed down, to attack their flank and all hell broke loose. bodies started falling, some of us were rezzed only to be downed within seconds, the entire screen was a light show.
We lost but was one of the best times I ever had in the game.

Our alliance had held Aden Castle. There were many players did not like our alliance and wanted us out.
When I logged in for the siege defense I found out there there was something like 29 clans against our 24 (give or take) who were signed to attack. Aden was like a carnival ground with all the preparations.
There was some tension before the siege started and Just before it officially started they attacked. We met them on the ground and there were so many players that my entire screen just froze. I had invited some friends over to see the siege and they were amazed at the groups that were on both sides.
The screen kept freezing and unfreezing from the initial rush then finally settled on working and it was clear that this was going to be one of the most epic sieges that I had ever experienced.
We fought solidly for the entire 2 hours on all fronts. The castle was filled with people running to and fro to difference areas to shore up defenses. At the 5 minute mark they pushed and we were defeated.
I have never had a siege like that. Was immense.

Earlier on in the game I was part of a smaller alliance and it was decided that we were going to help another alliance defend Gludio.
when I got to the walls I was amazed that there were so many people there. there were 4 siege golems and we were very outnumbered. Myself and a clannie (shout out to Roc!) staid on those walls, and eventually moved to the wall before the door when it broke. We fought non-stop for the entire time (there was one moment that I looked out and it sort of felt like the part in the Lord of the Rings, Return of the king when Denethor looked down and saw the entire armies of the enemy at his gates. Of course it was nothing compared to the numbers in the above example but at the time in the game it was one of the larger sieges I had attended).
In the end, we were actually victorious which was a surprise given how outnumbered we were.
In the prelude I killed a level 37 red dagger w/ my level 11 Elf fighter xD
He was hiding in the river to restore HP I used the river for a safe trip back to town (I had no clue what SoE's were) run spd was the same in water as it was on land. no breathe meter till C2 woot woot
7 mortal blows from him. none of them landed
My favorite PvsP moment came when i was in CutesTraders and we were defending at a seige. Being a TH i got behind an afk enemy mage and started to Back Stab....however he had auto pot running. I must have hit him at least 50+ times but try as i might i just couldn't kill him. Then another of his clan members came along and 3 shot me. Boy that was so funny!
1) i was around lvl 10 on elven wizzy back in May 2004. I went to Elven Fortress and i had a grp consisting of only 3 of us.
Some Dark elf with name of DM9 (if i still remember correctly)...came over, poked with his dagger and shouted "Anyone partying with Celestas will be killed by me!"
I went like "wtf?!?"
Nuke once with windstrike at close range (yes i was noob) and he exchanged it with mortal blow------->> i died of cuz. (hey...my very 1st pvp ok?)
I didnt even know how to frag back lol and the other 2 mates i was with? they left party after i died.
2) this was around lvl 49/52. I joined a clan called Mysiren (some chinese farmer clan)
One day, i went online and was called to pvp with them in Anghel Waterfall area.
When i got there, i went like...omg! 1 grp (us) vs 30+ Redemptions lol. Of cuz...we got rolled over and over.
Those were back in 2004, Erica server. There were no such things as CP pots or QHP back then. Daggers with MM (75% landrate) on their dagger.
had to be the first time i went to Cruma Tower with some clannies back in C2.
ported in and got down to the lobby, there was allready a mass of people pvpn and we jumped in with one side that were friends of ours. very shortly after the lobby spot and the halls goin all 3 ways were completely full of people fightin.
Ah im a bd so pvp memories are often based on different things. I do have one good memory I recall that wasnt all that long ago. It was siege at a castle and we were helping assault the castle. I am a mere bd but all my other team mates had dropped and the last two people alive in the whole field were me and this one nuker. I ran towards the nuker, arrested him and then UD'd right away and started whapping him. My hp was going down pretty fast still so I was spamming pots like crazy. The arrest ends and the nuker starts running away laughing and then I pull out my bow I keep for pvp and nail him twice and he died with me having 100hp left and someone had run up and seen the last several seconds and pm'd me with 'that was awesome!' and I felt pretty good ^^
