Lineage2 as a Langage

We can all see how online gaming has influenced language by the creation of new written words, often shortened phrases so typed communication is faster (lol wtf noob wts wtb wtt lfp...)

I'm interested in hearing about other L2 words you (or your friends, clan, server...) use which clearly express L2 concepts. If you could share the word, the definition and perhaps how it came about then we may expand our communications.

For example:

LeetPoser Someone who pretends to falsely pretends to have a level of skill at Lineage2.

History: On Sayha someone was recently claiming to be old school and said that he played since closed beta. Upon being asked which server he played on prior to the merge.... he had no answer. 'Merge? What merge, I was Sayha Closed Beta!"
that is pretty funny.
erica is where i started.
though... my highest on sayha is level 32:)

what i want to know is where bio became popular.
brb bio(excuse me for a moment, i have to go to the bath room)
classics are brb, l8r, afk... but those were around a long time prior.
This got coined a long time ago by a friend irl (credit to lanfears) as a more interesting term for a 'box'. Although I guess thats a term in itself right.

1. (noun) Buff Slvt
A support character on seperate account usually controlled on a separate client/system. To supplement statistically enhancing (and addictive) buffs. Most often used in the absence of a live player.

Oh **** the word is filtered... grr its not even remotely offensive. Oh well. Replace v with u.

Do they use the term 'buff' in other mmos..?
I've been playing this game too long lol...
Btw nice typo on topic name rum ;) You would typo for a thread on language itself wouldnt you :p
LeetPoser Someone who pretends to falsely pretends to have a level of skill at Lineage2.

Sorry to disappoint there Rum...but skill and L2 should not be in the same sentence....actually paragraph might be closer to the truth.
Like calling your friends carebears for not beating up random people that annoy them?

(<---- pacifist irl)
I noticed Bio when we started having more ladies playing in the clan. I think it is just a more polite way to say it and it also denotes a bit of time vs brb or afk which you have no way to being sure when they are returning.
I love "leetposer"s that claim superiority and how awesome they are only to find out that they use a n52 and have all their abilities and buffpets (slvts) macroed.

I also find it halarious when a clear AFK grinding party is found and suddenly after an hour of trying to talk to them, they say "sorry, so much fighting, your pm's or chat scrolled by so fast, using n52"
Oh **** the word is filtered... grr its not even remotely offensive. Oh well. Replace v with u.
Huh? What do u mean, it is not even remotely offensive? It's not a nice word at all ...

When I first saw "brb bio" I thought it was pretty cool because it referred to the biological needs of the body in a non-offensive or mind-picture-producing graphic. I liked it a lot!
Flamebait - Lyzira's unofficial Job Description
GM - Most people think this means Developer, and use it as such, not to be confused with the following
GM (original meaning) - Automated Responses from India
B.O.T - From an ancient dialect of the Lolcat language, it translates roughly into "High Value Customer"
Casual Player - A person who takes time out of his gaming schedule to sleep, sometimes as much as 8 hours in a day.
Event - synonym for 'Server-Crash'

Lol!

+1 on you for make me laugh a bit.

And, by the way, why the title of the thread isn`t corrected? I don`t think "langage" exists...
the reason we started using the universal term "bio" is beacuase the british(and other countries probly) used "brb wc"..... i always thought warcryer? wtf... but in reality it means watercloset..... so we started using bio so as to not to confuse the warcrers lol
Bio makes no sense if you haven't been told what it means. Bathroom does.
I'll continue to waste massive amounts of time typing 5 extra letters to spell bathroom properly.
I am not sure if thats true stupidity in french WC pronounced doublevese or however u would spell a pronouciation means toilet, i always thought thats why it was said as WC.
I could be completely wrong tho, or maybe the french call it that because of some link to the word water closet.
Either way first time i ever heard that explanation

In majority of the European countries you will find "WC" as an indication to the Bathroom or Toilet. So when you are in Europe do not look for the word Bathroom cause you will most likely find "WC" on the indication markers most of the time (some places will use Toilet to avoid confusion).

WC refers to a Water Closet (i.e. a flush toilet).
Eamonning is a new lineage 2 word. It is named after a Abyss Walker who about 90% of the time is just running his mouth becuase he can. His friends just laugh when he does it.

Eamonning means to run ones mouth with very little importance about 80% of the time. Example: There goes Eamonn eamonning again about how great the Miami Dolphins are.
TY leyanire... perfectly explained.. thats what i was going for but couldnt express it as well as u did:)
bio has been around in mmorpg for a long time. It does sound least vulgar of all the possibilities and I use it myself especially with lot of women around lol.
"Port', rather than being a noun meaning where ships dock, has become a verb meaning to pay money to a gatekeeper to move somewhere.

'Grief', rather than being an emotion of sadness, has become a verb to cause others to feel said emotion thru your actions.

'QQ', rather than meaning nothing, now means....hmmm, how would you all define it?

I think QQ is so clever... looks like 2 eyes crying. I really like it :D

Yup, and if you are in Europe and ask for the way to the "bathroom", don't be surprised if when you get there you only find the shower/bathtub and no toilet bowl, because that is what "bathroom" stands for here - the place where you wash yourself. In many cases the toilet is a separate room. I know stories where a guest from the US asked for the "bathroom" and people then were confused ("does he need to take a shower? can't he do that where he lives?")
It's also easily confused with W/C = Wrong Chat.

Most are generic and associated with most MMORPG's

I wouldn't say there is much unique L2 acronyms otherthan skill one's such as "LF CoV party "

Agreed. And actually, Bio is a spell in FFXI. There is Bio, Bio II and Bio III. They are all DOT spells.

DOT = damage over time.
We actually made diffirences in lag types
Lag = is like 1-2 seconds
Spike = over 5 seconds lag
DC= disconnected
i SG'd =a stop and go= when u lag so bad everything freezes for a huge time, then suddenly everything goes in fast forward, really weird type of lags.
