Hello everybody. My name is steve lol. I played diablo for many years and now im here. I started a character of whome is level 18. trying to go the berserker rout. But havent met anybody in the game and im still stuck on the first island of kameal village. so anybody wanna meet up in game and show me the ropes or just kill some monsters let a guy know. lol p.s. my character name is thule
Im afraid the game is old enough that not many people are going to be in the beginner areas.
IMO at 18 you can port to Gludio and then go to the Ruins of Despair and kill mobs there. Once u get to 20 and class change, go to Dion and you may be able to meet up with people there to do raid bosses and instances.

Best place to find a clan is therer too.
You can now do the class change at 18, and it will bump you up to lvl 20 :D
ive tried to do my class change and it says there is something i havent done yet. I also went to the gardens and tried to get off kameasl island and it said i cant lol. and i have no idea where to go from here. I took the guys advice and made an elf on the bartz server and have achieved level 10. still not haveing much luck on finding out where to go and what the hell to do lol.

You can port to other newbie areas from the New Helper in each starter town.
From the gatekeeper in Kamael Village you can port to Gludio, and then to anywhere on the mainland you want to go to.
ahh ok. Ive only been using the gate keepers to get to and from the strongholds. that should help me lol. But befor I go; even if I can should I go? or is there any quests I need to make sure I do befor I go?
>.< I don't know about the quests there, besides the one to get the Wooden set from the guard Marcelus (i think that is the name), so i can't help you there. And what I did was go to Ruins of Despair until I hit 20, then did my quest to class change. Now Smittie says you can start the quest at 18, which I would do. Then I went to Dion and killed monster eyes and stuff, until I could find raid groups and kamalokes. I was lucky though. There was a lot more activity then in the starter villages, and I found a clan before I left Talking Island.
When I started playing L2, it was my very first online game, and I was totally clueless about most things -- some will argue I still am, lol. I became a source of laughter for many of my friends that I made ingame :D
not sure who the guy was but somebody from this forum contacted me in game lastnight and step by step got me through the trooper deal and even was so kind to lend/give(not sure) an awsome weapon that helped me level greatly. so a big thanks to him. and I actually had alot of fun working with somebody. the game isnt that bad afterall lol.
That's Cool Thule. Welcome to the Game when you get up in your 60's give me a PM I have a Few Toons in that Range and can go Hunting with you and show you the ropes. You can even join me on some Farming fortress. We get drops that you can sell for 50k to 75k each depending on the market at the time :)

what town and where do i get the 33 kama quest? im a kameal trooper and not sure how to get the quest it said I need. are there any places a character can farm for drops by himself? im lvl 30 now. can i get a pet? if so how and where? ive decided on a buffalo i think.
so things have been great since i posted this. adalina had carried me through the levels pretty much and answered all my newbie questions. and ive since gotten into a very very friendly and respectable clan. couldent ask for more. ty everyone for all ur help.
