Bartz would get merge with Devianne. they are the only 2 NA servers that did not Merge....and correct me if I'm wrong but they are in the same location.
Nope, they didn't got merged cause at that time they had to many players on it to allow such.
Dev & Phoenix share the same data center and Bartz, Sayha & Aria also share one so if anything NC Soft will merge them all into 1 server per data center which is quite possible looking at the current activity levels of all said servers.
Bartz peaked last week at ~1.5kppl and Sayha & Aria never get above 1,2k anymore so yeah with the threshold set on 6kppl a server it's easily doable. Same with Phoenix & Dev as both don't get over 2kppl although they do significantly better then all the other NA servers.

How do we check how many people are online at any given time?
Luna was an epic failure from day one ... it had noblesse toons doing olympiad 5 weeks after the server started ;)
Luna was good in summer, the server was balance and little clan have their chance to get a castle, but since september we have felling einheit have corrupt gm to ban their enemies :(
i thought Sayha actually had a higher population than bartz, but i guess they're both kind of low on the list now.
i don't mind if bartz mergez, as i only have one character there, although i like the name...

Any character or party should get insta-ban upon reaching 24 hours of grind in a row. I means either they bot, or they share their accounts in different time zones. What is there to investigate?
24 hours is too short of a time...
just by chance you happen to feel like being crazy for a few days while trying to hit your goal of 85... so close... only 36 more hours of straight 0 bar grind...
ok, that's pretty extreme.
and even in that case, the player would likely stop to get shots which is unlike those afker counterparts. i say grind without shots for more than 2 hours... if you normally use them... i don't think it's that hard to figure out.
Dont' know about Luna but was about a week on shop mode in Goddard on Teon. Yesterday returned to Giran only to find out it has only 1/3 from the shops which were there about 10 days ago. From my friendlist only 5-6 people are left - everyone else moved to Aion and everyone says he/she moves because Lineage is dead.
I think a merge would kill whats left of L2. Hope they don't do it.
When the population is already dying due to Aion, why tick off alot of the people in some of the bigger clans left playing? It won't bring anyone who left for Aion to come back. Will only cause the exodus to gain momentum.
Big clans eventually want competition, there's no competition in any of the servers. One clan dominates each server, they do epics for 3 months, get bored and quit. Bringing fresh competition might keep the game alive for a while longer, else option is Clan A dominates server, does so for 3-4 months, gets bored, quits then Clan B takes its place and the round the cycle goes.

Will also be at minimum 1/2 of the clans that worked so hard and spent so much buying their clan hall that will be left with nothing. The lucky ones will have had to pay the max bid twice to have kept their real estate.

i think they should merge the smaller servers all together to make another large one and this way in a few months this would not be needed again.... But then again they need to also put in a few more clan halls..
yeah it is, remove the option for people to go carebear it up in dead servers and you force competition. Get 3 endgame clans in one server, instead of 1 endgame clan per server, you also force competition.

So true, this is why official servers are dead. There is no fun anymore in Lineage :/ We need more population!
trust me this is not true for all servers but it does take a steady stream of server transfers to keep it alive & going.. I myself & some clannies transfered of a dead server to one more balanced and so far no complaints except for my lag then..
check the current figures and those of "since first record"
ps, plz no dumb questions about it saying right now no connections as the servers are down for their weekly maintenance..
And very sad to see so few people playing Lineage on the official servers :s From 2000 players/server 500 are bots for sure.

Although it would be pretty funny to watch neutral pve carebears attempt raid bosses... and cry about the mass amounts of xp loss as they attempt to kill raids with 1/2 the raid force being in A grade.

I think that if clans weren't allowed help from other clans i.e. ones not even in their ally it would make things a hell of a lot more exciting. when you have 10 clans fighting 2-3 for a castle its pretty obvious who's going to win. The more clans win/lose castles the better. It keeps things interesting and sieging...

Did you at least tried to experience pvp off neutral clans? Its a lot more funny compared to all that zerg or "my gear is better" pvp that Big clans shows.

All the pvp I've seen from neutral clans in the last year or so ends in them bsoeing... soooo....
