So I started on my main back in C3, a SO and eventually a SE (Opalecent for anyone who's still left from then). I quit L2 about a year ago, and came back about 2 weeks ago. I started as a newbie again, to get the run of how things have changed and noticed one main thing. No groups at all. Anyone else missing the days where, as a lvl 20-40 player you could walk into Dion, give a quick shout of lvl/race/class and have a party or raid in 10 or so minutes? That was like the most fun I had in game, getting with a group of random people and kicking *** /sigh...
Those levels go fast now with vitality and buffs, so people are there less time and also often just wanna grab newbie buffs and push on as fast as possible.
You can however find kamloka parties quite easily. Often these are alts and such. Try shouting in dion for a certain level kama, which as you probably know are once a day instance rb for a party up to 6 toons.
Meh its not even the lvl's I'm worried about. I'll blow through them in no time, even with my little play time. Its more that the most fun I've ever had in this game was spending all day in one group killing every raid boss at that lvl, and watching as the whole group went up by like 7-8 lvls. Just goofing off, wiping once for laughs and then kicking *** again... The community on old Sieghardt and early Sayha was so amazing... now there's like no one... /sigh miss those days.
Most people are well beyond those levels though, so yes, it is going to be more difficult to find groups. People that are at that level are usually alt toons working up a nothing toon to 40 to graduate it, get the rep points for their clan, delete that toon, wait 7 days (if they do not have another free spot on their account) and do it all over again.
The ones who do that usually have a pre-set group and are going to work toons in their clan over taking in someone they do not know.

I remember Cruma Tower well, and TOI a bit later on. I think I got to 53 or 54 before I left for a different mmo. If I'd have stayed I'd have something to show for it; as it is I have a lower lvl dwarf I'm working on to make me some money.
