it is stated in the sub to main event, although i don't know if it is stated anywhere else.
... if you do sub to main with trickster to soul hound i'm not sure.
it would be nice to have option to be male or female Soul hound, as i believe they have different stats and a few different skills.
It is Sub to Main service, if it mess with the gender/stats it would be really nasty.
And the fact that your sub would be male gender should be obvious for you if you care and read facts on net/forum.
In service description is not very well specified situation for both-gender classes as SB.

The Kamael race's Inspector and Judicator are only subclasses by design, so they cannot be changed into a main class. The Kamael have unique occupations that are tied directly to a character's gender, so when you change a Kamael character's class, the gender also changes automatically to conform to the class. For example, if your Kamael character is female and you choose to change your character's main class to Berserker, your character's gender changes to male.
The Trickster and the Berserker and gender bassed, the Soulbreaker is not. So I would think that the Trickster could stay female changing the main to Soulbreaker
