Yes, buffs from the Newbie/adventure guide are being extended to 75. But as people have said, buffers will always be useful in one situation or another--and there are PLENTY of buffs that are available that the newbie buffer doesn't give, like MIGHT for example...or stackable BD buffs...or warcryer buffs...and the nice combo buffs. Let's not forget those. :)
(this is coming from someone who has a healer main and buffer sub FYI ^^ hehe)
I think they're just extending buffs to give a little aid to people who a) have to 100% solo and have difficulty doing so, and/or b) don't have access to a buffer, like SO many people in this game do through dual-boxing and so on. It will be nice to see some friends of mine have a bit more of a chance to reach the higher-end levels so they can finally subclass and whatnot. :)
PS--let's not forget that some buffers/healers pre-70 have trouble with mana management until their skills are improved in the higher levels...so having some buffs filled for them for an hour will help in large party situations. I should know, I played as the only buffer/healer in parties quite a bit--it can prove to be vexing in lower levels.
btw who is xping w/ just haste?
newbie buffer gives no focus, deathwisper, might, zerk, greater might... get these buffs from a live buffer or box and you can go places hard enuff to gain more xp even w/ someone in party.
i like to solo as much as the next guy but there is much more to the game.

Its vampiric rage, shield, magic shield and bless the body to....
I'd happily xp till 76 with those

same. I leveled my 1st char to 54 without any buffs at all (no one wanted to party with a dwarf) so having those newbie buffs to 75 are more than good enough to keep on leveling...
the point is haste is the only newbie buff that increases dps at all... being that haste only gives you attack speed you kill faster but dont save any $ as compared to using no buffs...
might raises patk so you use less shots, same goes for focus and DW...
having real buffs is not only economic in that you will use less shots, but also that you will xp in areas w/ higher adena yield and better drops/quest.
i read everyday in game or on these forums that prices are to high and you cant afford to equip yourselves... well if everyone xps on newbie buffs for tiny adena and a few stem drops the outcome is you will have less adena and the overall abundance of non botted mats is lower meaning you will have less to work w/.
newbie buffs are nice for low lvl toons or a quick round of aoe on a zerker or somthing but to use them untill 75 is a mistake. learn how to form a group or make a 2box and you will be much better off

newbie buffs are viable alternative to sitting in town waiting for a group, quit knocking them. Especially now that the bulk of the population is 78+ <75s cant really get parties.

I agree. ;) And to the others above, yeah I'm sure there are more than just this thread for the newbie buff extensions. Whether there are good or bad changes to the game, 80% of the players need to gritch about it. ^^
Like I said before, I'm a main class healer and a sub buffer...and I could actually care less about the extension. If it helps people, even just a little bit, great. If people don't like 'em, don't use 'em. But there are always better buffs available...and thus more of a bonus to find a party, clan hall, buffer, etc. etc.
...this is one of those topics that's just going to go ON and ON forever. ^^
agreed hate that as far as lvling wise ud be better of with a 2 box.
But live buffer u need to share(and every one hates that including myself:)) or pony up more rl money for a 2 box, which not every one can or wants to afford.
now that there is common up to 75 , using noobie buffs saves time. Yes it sucks an economy dry, but the only real economy is 76+ now ne ways.
So while yes i have 2 cover's now(so my wife and i dont fight hehe), i will supplement my dc buffs with noobie buffs (bring on emp3 and cov:))
making money with common a grade equipped toons isnt hard now so no one really needs money till 76 now neways.
Throw in cubics, easy s grade quests like the tat rec run (which i can run it in 11min:))
and money aint hard to come by.
A what? no comprende! live buffers are so prelude :(
:Dwith those minds usual 1 account players can't afford leveling on their own ...
Calling about alive PP/WC in some servers is like opening MAC messengers 10 years ago ... most of time you get nothing more than wind and moutains echoes ....
so GG for 75 buff on NPC... this will help some mates to get level and be able to group with very hight levels....
Or should you say: "I want to post smth. but I don't know what, so I'll post smth. anyway?"
+1...
Fill in 'beaten dead horse topic of choice'...
"Bots--wahwahwah"
"AH NOW--wahwahwah"
"Merge Servers NOW dammit!--wahwahwah"
"Tweak MY toon's class (NOW!)--wahwahwah"
"Support stinks!--wahwahwah"
"I can't make Adena--wahwahwah"

Live buffer/healer here. ;) And my husband and I played in a duo together in many areas without buffs/heals on different toons and classes. It can be slower and more difficult, but it *can* be done. ^^ I sympathize with those who need help with buffs though--so I often buff people I see in passing while hunting.
Time to fire the town buffers. They forgot to buff me all of my lvl 68 Overlord buffs. These cheapskates left out 6 Overlord buffs when i went and got buffs. Also our D grade EO in clan was able to give me at least 5 of her buffs.
Town buffers beware since your such cheapskates don't leave town or i'm gonna PK you . For doing such a lousy job at buffing people. :)
