Hiyas, been a year since I been here and got the offer on accounts reactivated for 2 weeks. Anything change much in a year ? I forget what characters I have , game is still updating but I don't think I have anything higher then 40, think I'll start from scratch this time. Cya in game .
I'd play again if they changed the atrocious grind. I wouldn't dare reactivate my account only to need buff bots follow behind me and gain 0.01% exp per hour. Change the games exp gain until something reasonable THEN send news letters out asking people to come back and renew.
That has been changed. We have vitality and the level 75 vita nerf has been removed now. Yesterday did like 8% in a few hours at level 77. Level 80 is deffinitelly achievable by legits now.
At 80 you can already put up some fight, even against heroes, you are no longer 1shot.

Come grind with me Ramadear,I've rolled a Human soon to be Bishop on the Aria server. I can understand your frustration though. I'm actually going in with a different mind set this time around,I'm gonna do all the quests I find and level a wolf as opposed to picking a spot and just grinding.
Ok I haven't played in a while, reactivated today and noticed I can't freight at a warehouse anymore? Did they change the way you freight between characters or am I missing something?

It's not like that at all--and my husband and I are casual players. The game has actually simplified by far compared to what was required of people in the early days. There are new challenges added, yes--but I'd rather have a huge challenge and be rewarded for working my tush off than have everything handed to me. And if it gets too frustrating I take a break. I always come back though. This game is more challenging than most I've played and I LOVE IT.
PS--welcome back to the game. :) If you ever have any questions feel free to mail me here and ask. I don't have all the answers of course, but I'm more than willing to help you out! Have fun and good luck. *wink*
Ah, thank you Aruchar, sounds like it could be simpler in some ways. I appreciate the response. Unlike the child who posted after you who has nothing better to do than browse the web looking for insults.
On which server are you ?
Just ignore the "pr0" kids, they have nothing to do while their train is "grinding".

I've been lvl 78 since the beginning c4. After that I got fed up with the grind. I renewed awhile ago to try to vitality system and honestly I don't know if I seen any type of difference. This is the only game that I know that requires so many buffs and outside help for it to remotely be playable. I was THINKING about downloading the game to try it yet again, but I stopped myself and thought "Wait, this is L2 nothing ever changes". While they try to add new features it changes nothing about the core of the game which is the ridiculous grind.
If I could hit lvl 79 in a few weeks of casual play then sure I'd renew my account. But me hitting the same mob over and over only to earn 0.01% exp and then my buffs expire only to make the game completely unplayable, is not something fun to look forward to. I think everyone can agree that when they play a game they look for fun and not a secondary job that you don't get paid for. But contrarily you pay THEM to do.

Vita did make a lot of difference before for level up to 75 i think. After that is was nerfed so bots dont really have to put up with us.
Nerf has been eliminated, since the new chronicle came up i did 14% ate one revita pop and still have full vita. At level 77 about 7 hours in total. At level 78 it is half that percentage.
Level 80 is achievable now by legits that work a lot for it or for casual players in more than a year i think. (Casual=1 hour a day or less for leveling, this is whole level 4 vita which replenishes itself in like 10 hours=2% on level 77 at least so you can do 4% a day, one hour morning, one hour evening)
It is true it is still hard compared to other games, but 10 times easier if not more than in c4. Since the max level has not been increased yet, legits now have a chance since bots are leaving in large numbers.
So, I would say, if you want to play with your friends on a long term basis, l2 is the place to be.

You are playing the WRONG game, my friend. I can personally say with full confidence that if I could reach 79 in just a couple weeks--of casual play, no less...which means almost no time spent on it comparitively--I would lose interest really quickly. It's the main reason I couldn't play WoW past a trial (well that and the cartoony graphics). Just too easy. It's also why I don't play the PTS for long. I like continued challenges in a fantasy world that I can walk away from. Keeps my mind busy and makes me think. I love being given a real challenge. :)

I agree with Tamoh. I was quickly bopred of GW, WoW, WAR, just cause it was too easy to level to the max level. Even if I don't have a big level in L2, I still play it and have fuin with all the grind. And, as a EE, I'm really glad that you need to have support buffs and help cause - guess what - that's what it should be with MMO. You should play with others, you shouldn't play alone.
That game is fun for me. :) And I pay them cause they deserve it.

...that's why my dad liked it, that's for sure!
Oh yes :)
L2 is hard for sure but when i see everyone who comes back from others MMOs that the way we like it !
Not to change the topic of returning player :P but I'm going to roll 2 more characters to keep the vitality in a healthy rotation. My cleric is 27 now and that will be my main any suggestions on the other 2 ?
