New Great Wolf Food

Its very costly, is there an advantage in using it?

i think its reg wolf food not great wolf food. Ive benn using greater wolf food and its in a different part of the pet items. I have noticed that they have doubled the time on wolf wood. My wolf used to consume 1/min, now its about 1 per 2 min.

Like Ashley said, but I don't want to risk taking it that low before feeding it.

Someone in my clan ran out of great wolf food and by the time he got to the pet manager it had gotten down to 1%, he gave his wolf one of those improved wolf food and it was back up at 100%.

pets auto eat at 50% ish, so a food that restores from 1% is pointless

i have tested it. If you eat from 55% to 100 it takes 7 reg great wolf food, and will also auto consume at 55% so its still cheaper to use reg wolf food unless u need that large boost from below 55% to 100%.

Kinda odd how they did that. The new food's only good property is that its less weight per part of the weight gauge. But since wolves can carry their own food, it seems kinda pointless.

Fenrir use more food as they level so this new wolf food is great for my level 80 fenrir. It takes it from 55% to about 93%. Now I only have him bring 60-70 food hunting rather than the 500 I used to take. It costs the same (or very close) as using the regular food but weighs 1/20th per time.

I used to watch the wolf's weight if planning for a long grind, the new food is not exactly game changing I admit but nice all the same.
