Summon pet, Take off all gear, unsummon Send away you cannot send the pet holding the weapon and stuff
I dont think so. Im trying to send pets without any gear.
Thats because when you unsummon your pet normally they still carry the food/gear/anything else you put in the inventory until they are resummoned :)
The pet did not have any gear or food on it. In fact, none of all of my pets had gear or food, but as soon as a summoned one, all of them got unbanned from the mail. Figure that one out...
This IS because of the new set up of pets, they are designed to hold onto items until resummoned so you wont loose the items on DC or if you dont have space for the items in your inventory. Players complained for that feature so if they now make you summon and unsummon prior to sell im quite content.
I have noticed that they keep their items when you ride them now too, it is great can ride my fenrir again even though he has 20k beast shot.
As far as I know Pets do not carry their shots, unless they changed it on this last update.
P.S.: I'm surprised Ashley hasn't said anything about this.
Because I already found out the Problem on PTS (I test all new things every PTS) and already know how 2 fix it. By the Time it hit Live I already had all the answers so I didn't need 2 post about it....
PS. what's nice is you can fill your pet with Gear in his inventory, unsummon then place in your WH and save WH slots.
Great for storing your SUBS gear. I'm guessing a Good way 2 transfer a 2nd set Gear for your sub to a Different server becasue you can transfer 1 pet with you.
If your in a clan then you don't need to mail or freight pet's to begin with. Have 1 of your clannies online to help you with the transfer and your all set.
Not smart enough to think about that Red? Or is it you just don't trust your own clannies to help you out with that issue?
The new change can cause a nasty surprise. If you're out hunting and happen to dc, beware when you try to resummon. If you have filled your inventory with too much junk the wolf will just drop all of its items, including weapon and armor, on the ground.
I think I preferred when the wolf would keep its equipment when you dc:d and had to resummon.
It works the same as it used to except when you unsummon it acts like it did when you DC.
If the pet had items on him they would always pop back into your inventory when you summon.
Before the previous update to pets if you DCed with a full inventory all the pet's items dropped (what it was like in C2 when I started). It was then changed (around the first gracia update) to keep the items on the pet on DC so if you wanted to not have the wolf out but have food and SS on him you had to log out with it summoned but when re summoned all the items appeared in your inventory (or dropped if you were full). Now it is just changed so un-summoning/mounting works the same as logout/DC.
If you have a pet out like a kook & the kook has food in its inv.
Then if you unsummon the kook....with the food still in its inv.
Then if you should happen to goto dino Isle, & get a Dino pet drop, you
will not be able to mail/sell it because....
The food that you had in the kook.....is actually in your new Dino too.
NCsoft support said that pet food is not actually stored in each individual pet.
If 1 of your pets has food in its inv, then that same food will show up in your other new pet too.
For those who were wondering about mail and server transfers, this post is for you!
If you have items unclaimed in your mailbox when you server transfer, you will not be able to get those items after you transfer as they will be gone. The person who sent those items to you will have those items returned to them.
If you sent items to someone that have not been claimed yet and you attempt to server transfer, your server transfer will not go through until you have either cancelled those mails or the other person retrieves them.
In short, you will not be able to use the mail system to transfer items when doing a server transfer.
