hello, this is about the item enchanting system.
L2 has been around for a long time, many areas of the game are revised or changed, i think the enchant system is due.
When your enchant fails, the item is gone. Where do new items come from? with the crafting system being regulated by 5k iron ore, bone and varnish - the cost to craft is to high. very few a grade + items being crafted
I think when an enchant fails, it should make your weapon clean rather than blow it up.
blessed enchant scrolls could garantee a successful +.
When a persons item blows up, they may get upset and cancel subscription. You really want to try and hold on to what little players we have left.
p.s I blew up my dle last night :( - working on lvling again with b grade duals :P. Maybe someday the chant system will be updated.

For duals I might agree with you, since you need to reach +4 in order to get the SA. But only if attempting +4 on a dual weapon. Higher than that and duals should be reduced to gray mist if enchant fails.
Otherwise, I disagree as it relates to enchanting in general. You don't need a +4 weapon or higher to level in this game. If you are OE'ing for some perceived pvp advantage, then there should be risk of losing the weapon.
If mats are rare, then you should propose ways for the devs to fix that. But enchants aren't..pardon the pun...broken.
Blessed enchant should not garantee success, because then all heroes would run around with S80-S84 +21 weapons glowing even more mad than their hero glow.
They would also have maxed out their armors with enchants, so they would be harder to take down than a raidboss.
What's the point in making in making all those shiny endgame chars more powerful than now? Easier +15 wep enchants?.....that would suck even more than now, seriously I hope they put a limit on weapon enchantment, for dynasty / vesper at least....+10 vesper is so discouraging for most of the ppl, and we all know how legit most of those shiny chars are. Make +6/7 enchants easier, well I would live with that but only if they put a limit to max OE.
I really don´t see the point in make weapons be able to reach absurd OE lvls like it is now, +10 its good enough, anithing above this gives a ridiculous advantage.

lol, No.
That's a stupid idea... Enchanting system is fine as it is, it's a Risk/Reward system. I'm not going to feel bad for some idiots who decide to OE themselves out of gear then quit because of it.
I would quit if they added some of the stupid things like that into game without changing them first at least. I can justify the new pets/mounts/Title colors, because they aren't really game changing... but some of the other items would need to be changed, or not added at all... Like the self Brez, you can accept it, but it puts you back in the nearest town/peace zone, and not just get up where you are... or the personal teleport points can't be set to anywhere within a certain range of a raid boss, or Epic NPC (Frint NPC, Klein for Valakas, etc.).

The only problem is with your decision-making.
What exactly was wrong with your DLE+3 ?
1 simple rule: do not EVER try to OE something if you cannot afford to lose it.
p.s. Once you reach S grade, getting a high level of element added on your weapon is far more important than having high OE, and when adding element stones, a failure does *not* reset the element value to 0.
So it is much safer/easier (and more useful) to reach 150 element than to make a high OE weapon.
I completely agree with this statement. If you don't want to loose your weapon after an enchantment fail, then you need to go play a different game. Don't take that wrong as if I'm pushing you away, because that is the least of my intention.
Sure people might leave when they get upset with a weapon bust, but this game is not marketed towards those people. L2 is a game for people who want a huge challenge and you would lose a lot of people who play the game for this challenge if it wasn't there. If you want a game with zero challege, you play hello kitty. If you want a game with some challenge you play wow, aion, etc. (i'm not familiar with games other than L2 so I can't really say exactly). But, if you're looking for a good challenge, you play L2.
