After like a year but i deleted my char before I quit (was only a lvl 60 AW) anyway I have made a dwarf thinking it wouls help me make money bu crafting SSD and stuff.

the problem is I am only lvl 24 but I have no money to buy crystals or the ore to make the SSD lol, so I am just wondering am I missing some thing? whats the best way to start earning money so I can even think about top D grade and C grade when I hit 40?

Maybe some other dwarfs remember how they started off?

If you just started I guess you are not signed for dusk or dawn? as it is seal validation week.

But as soon as you can go down to a catabomb , the sealstones that drop there will cover more then well the expences of hunting and more.

The xp down there is alitle worse then other places but at this low level one hardly notice diffrence.

And welcome back to lineage2, if you need an academy and/or just ingame help pm Leonidar / winterstorm ingame.

I second this, find a better/easier/newer game and grind away.

Wow you guys are paying money to sit here and groan? sad...

Anyway, I agree with the catacomb idea. You can turn it in for ancient adena with the dawn/dusk priest, and turn around and sell that...or just sell the seal stones. Sometimes the latter is the best idea if your server switches the sides a lot. I know in a week or two of grinding in the catas for only an hour or so each night, I've been able to turn in my AA and sell it to buyshops on Aria for 1.5-2m. That might not get you 'real' C or D grade sets of armor, but it will at least get you common and a weapon. It's something to start with. :)

Good luck!

Okay, well then just chill and go out on a good note. ;)
Don't buy D crystals. Waste of money. Round up a pal or two to run through the Kamaloka with you every day. Collect drops, crush, "free" crystals. Even better if they'll let you keep all the weapon/armour drops. :p

Also, try joining some clan's academy. If they do a bunch of academy toons for points, you may be able to score a bunch of crystals for no effort.

Welcome to Grumpy Day on L2 forums and pay no attention to their grumbles!

Nan is right; you picked the hardest class in the game! Dwarfy's don't make anymore $ or any less; than other classes in L2. That is really about shrewed marketing strategies!

No, its just that a few random people come in and QQ over the game.

If you want to made adena dwarfs aren't really much use anymore.... You can make more adena buying and reselling crystals in giran overnight. However if you're bent on the dwarf idea, Kamas drop good D grade gear that you can crystalize and use to make your shots. Go to talking Island to buy your ore as there is no tax and you'll be good to go.
Since you are essentially 2 nights into the game I'd suggest this.

Roll a Dark Elf Mage on one of your other slots now that you are past your first class change (assuming you went artisan). Use some of your adena from your dwarf (mail it to yourself with the new mail system) to get a devotion set of no grade robes for yourself, and then talk to the newbie guide straight away in dark elf village, and do every quest he tells you to. You will hit level 20 in no time (xp was drastically increased for these). Take care not to purchase anything you don't need, most of what you need will come from the newbie buffer in terms of shots, and coupons to purchase a no grade weapon that will work just fine until your first class change.

Do your quests. Go Dark Wizard. You now have received several coupons for D grade weaponry. You do not need D grade robes at all =) The cast speed on devotion will be plenty.

Hopefully after the day or two it takes to get your wizard to 20, your dwarf should have a lot higher vitality rating. Use the coupons you received from your first class change to get yourself a D grade shadow weapon, and if you can, purchase yourself some common half plate /plate armor (top d common) from the giran armor shop, and go hunt till your adena reserves for shots are expired on your dwarf. If you're flat broke, go back to your wizard.

Level the wizard on the eyeballs, bugbears, hobgoblins and other baddies outside of dion with your D grade shadow weapon that you got from your coupons/first class change. Your magic is so powerful , and the eyes are weak to wind, that you should be able to destroy the mobs there with 2 shots or less, earning profit as you go. Do kamalokas on your wizard as you get past your easy 20s. Make use of body to mind and herbs to replenish mana as you hunt in the field, and later at the execution grounds. The wizard should finance common top D for your dwarf AND your mage weapon (don't bother with any other robes set, cast speed > all at that level). Don't ever hunt where you cannot 2 shot on a wizard!

As the other posters stated, do those kamalokas every day if you can, those drops can crush for d crystals. Also, iff you need to purchase d crystals, the best cheapest way to manufacture them is through the armor shop in giran, by purchasing the CHEAPEST COMMON gauntlets in bulk and crystallizing them on your own dwarf.

Then, as you play each when they have full vitality (or higher vitality than the other hehe), you should be able to move to the ground level (trees) at the execution grounds with the wizard and /or the catacombs with the dwarf (get those hour long newbie buffs!) to finance whatever you need till you reach level 35. Start your class change quests! Level up both the wizard and the dwarf at the same rate if you can, juggling each's vitality levels so you only play the one with the highest vit.

Once you finish off your class change quests at 35, 37, and 39, you should fly right into your second class change with both. If you wish to have an herb-drop combatant, by all means change that nuker into a spellhowler. They earn money in the field faster than any other completely solo class, and can easily true solo themselves (with a kookaburra pet later) all the way to noble. If you wish to have a catacomb ready AA Farming/4x hp mob toon, go phantom summoner on the wizard. BOTH of these classes will net you a large return in adena in a short amount of time. The pets of a PS require crystals, but you can make them and mail them to yourself with the dwarf.

You picked a good time to come back. Events are great for itemization, extra drops to sell and speed/ease of leveling.

As the dwarf matures you can begin crafting shots for cash, and at the same time you are developing a toon that is very powerful. Most people would opt for the nuker, straight forward fast leveling outside with herbs. I prefer summoners for the large ancient adena returns (catacombs) and more flexible true soloing areas. The adventurers' /newbie guide (yes the apostrophe is there, not before the s if you /target adventurers' guide in town to find them) buffs will apply to your servitors as well if you select the right line item, which makes leveling them up quick and painless. After 56 and the nightshade pet, there will be LITTLE you cannot slaughter with a phantom summoner, in a dungeon or out for profit.

When your vitality levels are both depleted, familiarize yourself with the market. Learn prices or you will *never* really appreciate much wealth. Play as much in giran as you do in the field. Buy low, sell high, learn what's in demand (what do you see shouts "LOOKING TO BUY X" for?), and what's not so that you don't buy something you cant turn around and resell quickly.

At the point that you reach level 62 with both of these toons, using nothiing but common B weapons and armor for the dwarf, and C grade real robes (demon or karmian) for the dark elf and common B grade mage weapon, you should have enough money to finance whatever character you wish to play from scratch, AND you have the capability to craft ALL GRADES OF SHOTS on your dwarf, so you never have to purchase them from others and lose that huge profit potential. You can make a respectable amount of money crafting and selling S shots, tho it takes time.

I'd suggest the manor system as well but this last update has made it very tedious to turn in fruits, yet it's still possible for those that wish to learn it and perservere at hand in time.

Hope that helps. You really don't need to buy ANY real weapons until S grade anyway, save your adena for when the game really starts to blossom, so you don't have to struggle to sell off your old gear for FOREVER in a market that takes less than a month to reach.

Some may say that A grade gear lasts a long time and you should try to purchase real kit for that age group. For a first toon I'm going to disagree. Nobody has to know that you are using common gear, and it's almost impossible to tell unless you are a nuker. This is why I suggested a summoner for your money making "heavy hitter" toon, as your "weapon" levels up for free. A mysterious sword with acumen, karmian robes (c grade) , and common jewels that are consistent with your grade are plenty to get a phantom summoner to S grade.

Cheers, good luck!
DizzyBlud:

i'd go ahead and re-make the AW. strong class. fun class at 60. you get some COOL stuff at 74 from forgotten scrolls, too.

you probably wont start making enough money for end game gear until you STOP exping, and sit your butt down in giran buying cheap stuff and selling it again for that bit of extra cash.

it takes a month to level, but it can take 3 or more months of buying/selling to get the money for good gear.

Quoted for truth

If you liked the dagger before you will love them now. Jeez are they silly strong. The OP probably wants similar kit that he had before quitting, which is why I suggested the summoner with the dwarf. By the time he hits 62 on both a summoner and a dwarf, with how bloody easy it is to level to the 3rd class change these days, he should have enough adena and know the market well enough to put his abyss walker into some rocking kit and easy street it =)

I'm addicted, but at this point I don't really know why. oh well ?
I definitely won't start another game though; I honestly don't have the time to be playing this one as much as I do anyway. Nor do I want to start all over learning another game and acquiring gear and levels again. I would rather stay here and enjoy (somewhat) the piles of junk and few decent toons I've worked on over 4.5 years.

Wow I cant believe how anti-L2 the L2 boards are lol, this the game really that bad now?

ya haha... no the game isn't bad, but due to the faults it does have, it's highly probable you will have a better time in pretty much ANY other game. If you are really masochistic, bored, or addicted and need something to suck years of your life away, L2 is for you.
