During last night's Sayha server weirdness I tried 3 ways of getting help from NCSoft with varying results.
I sent an in-game petition saying the server was bugged.
Result: "The server is running normally, please continue enjoying Lineage 2". Note that this was received PRIOR to the server reset.
I opened a support ticket "Sayha has beome corrupted, please have a look ASAP."
Result: "Your help request was incomplete or unclear. If you still require assistance, please respond to this incident instead of creating a new one. Please make sure to include a detailed description of the issue you are reporting. This will help us to more quickly assist you in resolving any issues you may be experiencing."

good times. buffs/dances would not fade. raid bosses did not hit back, minions did not respawn. after restart, the last few bosses respawned for a second kill. lets do it again tonight.

For all they know it could have been a personal problem of yours and the server needed no attention.
Well, lets just assume that shall we Leonidar? OR we could encourage ppl to be less vague when dealing with support. Support is not mind readers. Spell it out for them or stop QQing.
With the amount of bad language skills I've seen in game, im not at all surprised some ppl get automated answers.
And this thread was soooo not what I expected lol.

Oh, Smittie... Keep a G-rated mind here. You and your innuendoes.

I do agree that this petitions were not the best in anyway, but I havent got much other responses then that, the fact that one can use 255 characters only makes it hard to describe things.
Therefor forums or mail petitions is still the best way to go in my book.

I have come to experience that the ticketing system is best way for getting good support. As long as you submit a detailed ticket you are bount to get the accurate info you need to solve the issue and in all my cases the conversation has been productive as the problem was analysed more in depth towards the added info from my part.
True as Leonie states that you are limited in characters, but use short bullet points or ask a first question that is more general to the in deth problem you face and add on as you go. I often post one question and then update the ticket with additional info which I couldn't included in the initial request. You are bount to get good help normaly.
In game petitionning I gave up doing cause it's never been good since live GM's vanished.

My number one problem is that ingame petitions limit you to 250 character explanations.
And quite frequently i'll try and word things and explain things the best i can within those restrictions only to receive an automated responce stating "Please explain more" or something along those lines. Which obviously knowing full well creating a new petition only to try and reword it to make it fit will just cause confusion.
And it irks me when 3 or more people fill out a petition EXACTLY the same word for word, and 2 of them will get the "please explain better" while 1 of them will actually get contacted.
Petitions should be a conversation, not a single reply with 'ending consultation' afterwards. I'd get better consultation from a ****** in North Adelaide for fifty cents.
There was a time when i would get an answer to a petetion...usually it got moved up.... I would get notices how the petition was moving along through the system.......and the problem was solved.
Then went through the automated stages where you would get a canned responce...nothing happened.
Could you point out misspells less and tell us why you think Toodles is not farewell, but rather a sexual preference in Scandinavia?
I was just pointing out to you the spelling mistake.... cause normally it's of great importance to you. Most times you call people out for that but then again English is their second language and afterall you are who you are.
I don't think "toodles" means anything...its people in Scandanavia that do. Not the googlefish/computer jockey crowd that live in their parents basement but the street kids.
Same thing as "Puff" in the British Isle (some time ago)
BTW...i can bust out a few Alts of my own and have them agree with me on this thread if it makes it more believeable.....not that anyonre does that on these forums ;)
