I can't wait for the new skill for dagger classes- the ability to summon a duplicate of themselves to help out in pve/pvp. ;D

ore is cheaper and more common than crystals. its used for other things too (like erase/betray) so it helps by reducing the item count in your inventory, down to 1 slot from 4. 3 extra slots for more crap as i see it.
put it this way, mages have no use for crystals and now also summoners have no use for them. dwarfs are about the only class still needing them unless they changed ALL summons (including golems and panthers) to use spirit ore.

depends. since NPC value of stuff is way out of whack with reality summoners could end up spending a hell of alot more
a simple example is D crys which on phoenix sell for slightly higher than half true value so if the cost is the same as now and you have to use ore to summon a D cry lvl summon you would pay almost double (plus tax)

I'd rather pay a little extra to summon cubics than have to carry around D,C and A crystals all the time. I run through C-crystals so much that I periodically have to buy items from the shop and crush just to get more.
I'm also excited to not have to freight from my Girin toon/port to Girin to restock on crystals, and can just pick up ore for all my summons in town when restocking on everything else from shop.
Just makes things easier/more convenient, and when you factor in 78+ summoners, it probably ends up cheaper b/c they no longer need to worry about needing A-cry as well.

I don't know what server you're from, but that's definitely cheaper then A Crystals.

Since Common Items, which determine the market price of crystals, are dropping with the same frequency in Korea as on our servers my guess would be that the developers have factored that in when they wrote about the cost reduction of 50%.

They have listened to us there are some suggestions that have been made that were taken and put into the game yes not nearly as much as koreans but they do listen so that if they hear common suggestions out of both korea and NA they will be more likely to institute them.

The Plains of the Lizardmen have been reworked into a hunting ground specifically for Archers and Arbalesters of level 80+, with a damage over time for everybody and buffs/heals only for those classes. Hunting will be made much easier by Herbs that go directly into the blood, without having to be picked up. With the "Freya" update the Monastery of Silence will be changed to a lvl 80+ hunting ground suitable both for single players and parties. On the upper floor players can adjust the monster composition via huge goblets of fire, the so-called "Furnaces" (you can see them at 0:15 in the video), and there will be an escort quest that can be done once per day. As for the second class change quest, there are no changes. Same situation as now, you either pay, or, if you want to be a Gladiator/Tyrant, you go into the Ant Nest.

the 4x spots are also mostly empty now. when was the last time people used Tanor Canyon? back when you could boom, and sleep cloud.
a lot of those 4x spots are High Mdef mobs too. who exp's on Timak Orcs anymore? NOBODY. theyre much MUCH too hard for their exp and profit rewards.
kinda like Archaic Lab. they made it for 80's because it wasnt used by the 4x... except those golems were 8x hp Heavy armor Stun mobs. yeah, lets just jump at this opportunity..... jeez guys instead of fixing the area they just make it possible for 8x to hunt there.... betcha anything that once people go to AL after this update they STILL wont use the area seriously.

HB - can't efficiently hunt unless it's entrance and thats crap xp
GC - not bad but 2 pole groups (wl + se) can clear basically the whole of upper
I.T - blue mobs
FOG - blue mobs..... which give more xp than the supposed 80+ pole areas
IOP - litterally 10x less xp than FOG
FOW/FOS - only 5x less xp than FOG
PI - nuker spot
mith mines - archer spot. still doable but garbage xp for the risk
DOE - bad xp
i'm sure other classes have their own favorite spots and alternatives that give much less xp but it takes me about as long to get 1% at 80+ as it takes a 4x toon to get a whole lvl..... and 90% of classes would kill for half of the xp i get so i'm seriously finding it hard to care about ppl having less spots to grind when they don't even know what grind is
They arent destroying content for lower lvls, simply cleaning up the hunting grounds. Why retain hunting grounds that noone uses?
Its better to remake them to higher lvl xp grounds.

no, this isnt going to happen. these remade zones will remain untouched. just as the newly revamped spots also go untouched. why? cause X zone > Y zone, all NC is doing is adding more Y zones.
The Pavel Ruins, including the Archaic Laboratory, will be changed to a hunting ground for players in the first half of their 70s, the inner parts of the Archaic Laboratory being a party hunting ground, while the outer areas of the Pavel Ruins are designed for solo players. The monsters that can be found there are upgraded Golems (i.e. Blunt Weapons will be of advantage) and there is a complex quest that tells what happened to the place. have you not read how difficult and strenuous these hunting grounds will be? besides this look what happened to Sielnt Valley when they changed it the first time; they maintained the low exp and low adena rates, yet increased its difficulty...
somehow you expect Archaic Lab (for example) to lavish the 8x crowd with comparable exp spots to Hellbound?
no, this isnt going to happen. these remade zones will remain untouched. just as the newly revamped spots also go untouched. why? cause X zone > Y zone, all NC is doing is adding more Y zones.
You missed my point. They are superfluos as 4x hunting grounds, might as well make them 8x. Regardless of who would go there.

exactly. Pavel Ruins is one of the Fastest spots for any Blunt user who solos and were by far NOT superfluous. Archaic Lab was never a good spot to be in, and theyre revamping both areas needlessly.
the only good thing about Archaic Lab was the golems inside that spoiled 2x Enria at 1/3.
the inner circles regenned so fast, and were so hard to kill that it became increasingly difficult to hunt there.
if people didnt hunt there BEFORE, what possible use could it be to revamp the area for 8x at what looks like an even HARDER AI. did you not watch the video?
only use i found with the place was to give a destro full buffs and aoe the place but it still didn't stack up well with old GC xp due to the insane pdef the mobs had
also when is NC gonna learn that even blunt weak mobs aren't good enough to get someone to use a lolblunt instead of a sword :/

whereas for levels 80+, we now have:
Hellbound, MoS, GC, Archaic Lab, Beast Farm, FOG, IT, IOP, FOW/FOS, PI, Mithril Mines, Den of Evil, and probably others that i cant remember without looking at a map.
the 4x spots are also mostly empty now. when was the last time people used Tanor Canyon? back when you could boom, and sleep cloud.
actually I do exp nukers in tanor after 35 - with bd/PoW I can 1 shot each mob in lowbie groups so it's pretty fast xp to 40... I have also exped nuker there up to like 50 - it has a good range of levels - good for noble nukers. Also it's good to up vitality with vitality herb - u gather all groups on a field, mass nuke them and voila, full vit (ok not full but still a good increase).
too bad they removed that Meadow field near Oren - it's another good aoe spot... I hope they won't touch Tanor (or did they already?)
a lot of those 4x spots are High Mdef mobs too. who exp's on Timak Orcs anymore? NOBODY. theyre much MUCH too hard for their exp and profit rewards.
kinda like Archaic Lab. they made it for 80's because it wasnt used by the 4x... except those golems were 8x hp Heavy armor Stun mobs. yeah, lets just jump at this opportunity..... jeez guys instead of fixing the area they just make it possible for 8x to hunt there.... betcha anything that once people go to AL after this update they STILL wont use the area seriously.
Well, I think the lab is made 7x spot, not 8x... currently it's pretty useless because of debuffs that half the kill speed. There is no point in making such stupid thing without doubling reward, that's why no one uses that area.
New version will have quest for A grade recipes which is pretty cool I think.. if it's anything like epilogue S80 recipe quests then market will be flooded with cheap A grade and we finally will be able to make affordable +6 and rare A grade sets

well actually .. I just got 76 on my warsmith and with +1 fire fatal strike and hammer crush and my DHA/150fire (before, I only used it to xp twinks) I get pretty good dps just spamming skills. However it's only good if you have 79+ EE or SE beacause it eats MP like a nuker. For example in SV I kill mobs near entrance in 1 FS (usually removes about 2/3 mob's hp) and 1 HC or a few normal hits, but that depends - skill might crit or not, still it crits pretty often. At 77 I will get another skill so I'll be able to spam 3 skills non stop, so there won't be any point in regular crit rate at all :)
at 77 you can just armor crush and fatal strike mobs but once you get buffs and a sword you'll forget about spamming skills and just crit mobs to death like real classes do

1 with mana gain and clarity is enough. I did it non stop for several buffs. In fact 70+ kookaburra alone was also enough, provided that I had clarity on me and kooka and mana gain (I did this because I needed a char on the same acc as my 79+ SE to leech off that maestro in duo party)

1 lvl76 Gladi and 1 lvl79 EE with Stigma are enough for non-stop skill-spam farming of Varka Captain badges. Yep, that's with the DPS reduction from the last update.
Exactly, like they have adapted quests with the new hunting grounds in Gracia Epilogue. Next week the Korean PTS should go online, maybe we will then get decent patch notes.

it takes me about as long to get 1% at 80+ as it takes a 4x toon to get a whole lvl..... and 90% of classes would kill for half of the xp i get so i'm seriously finding it hard to care about ppl having less spots to grind when they don't even know what grind is
exactly. people just aren't going to be at 4x-7x forever and there are still tons of options at those levels.
but we all WILL be at 8x forever so yes we want new areas. and the devs can upgrade them to maybe not suck with later updates if they suck now.

yes actually I will miss Pavel Ruins (not including the Lab). It's actually very good xp 4x-6x, even using rapier on rapier resist mobs I can go very fast with good respawn and good xp/mob.
for koreans yes, for us ... 1 or 2 if we're lucky. next ones are in next year or two.
It seems like it takes more time to "translate" the update for NCNA than for Koreans to make it. So at the current pace we will at near future be receiving an updates Koreans received a few years ago.
They are not related at all. For linguistic reasons (Tungusic language) Korean is much easier to translate into Japanese than into English, which is an Indo-Germanic language with a completely different grammar and vocabulary. That means we will with absolute certainty not get our update before May 25, but significantly later :p
The game isn't exactly getting any new players. So besides subclassing, there isn't much need for any of the 1-70 xp grounds and I would think the situation in Korea is much the same.
Are you honestly going to make a post on our forums every-time the Korean website updates information about the next update which won't be here probably for like at least 6-8 months, and will likely be significantly changed by the time it's released too from what your reading now? ...
Stop talking about the pole nerf. NC korea already announced that it is not going live (did not go live) with the Freya update, and will be going live with the next expansion in late 2010 (korea time). Same with the bulk of new skills.
