TK's in B grade is pretty much a Doom Set right? But if you can't get Doom which one of Avadon or Zubie is the best option? I'm also looking for info on the best SA's on 2 handed swords for vanguard plus 1 handed blunts and 1 handed swords as well. Currently in C grade i'm using a common blunt and a Chain set and switching to a Comp set till i get B grade heavy for mine.
Why not a FP set? Well most of my C grade lvling was in a clannies who loaned it to me. He needed it back so I'm going with the gear I have.
No doom, no health sa. at 5x it doenst make a huge difference and mostly u will play solo because nobody need a tank at this level range. And if u play at group u can do this with this offence setup too (thanks to newb buffs and VR)
So equip for fast solo play in vanguard. Depends on ur budget:
B Grade
BW Heavy Set
Great Sword Focus or Common Guardian Sword
Dye
+5 STR/-5 CON
+4 Wit/-4 Int
A Grade
Tallum Set
IPOS Focus or common Dragon Slayer
add: never use blunt at Elf. always swords, because crit mod is higher.
Use Fullplate (miniskirt/pink panties) till 61. Switch to the spankable Dark Crystal set and use that till 80. Get Dynasty.

You can use Zubei + Great Sword Focus and invest on a low +str - con modifier dye
a +3 zubei set have more p.def then a commom doom/bw.
I recomend to get a Berzerker Sword +6 focus instead of the Great Sword Focus cause B shots are expensive and rare.
Ripping off your con too much will make you a make you a glass tanker this can pe a problem if you wanna tank a lowbie raid or a kamaloka.
Eamonn, use a b grade sword instead. B-shots on phoenix is not as rare, and they dont charge for them like on Teon for instance (where b shots are more expencive than A-shots for some reason ><.)
focus on that what u mainly will do. thats expeing to 76+ as fast as possible.
dont gimp that by foccusing on grp play stuff. before 76 nobody need a tank. all can be done by every meele dd with vr. here is not much pvp, and not much content. NC soft want to go 76+, this is clear if u have a look at the next update, where they change low lvl hunting grounds to highlvl again.
bw and -5 con works very good. with newb buffs u dont die. +5 str on tk is important!
but is right, if u dont have the budget:
take zubei +3 till 76, then ic.
Berserk Focus +10+ till agrade, then common dragon slayer till S grade
+4 str -5 con is cheaper.

Thanks for all the input. My TK is a guy and at A grade I have common DC heavy to stick on him. Unless i get rich to buy real A grade. I currently have no issues lvling with the 1 handed blunt I have. But i'll swap out with a sword in B grade and try out the advice.

If what i'm mainly going to be doing is lvling as fast as possible to 76. I'd still only be playing an AW and not have a 70 OL, 61 AW ,54 WL,47 TK, and almost have a 40 BD. Not to mention I wouldn't have rerolled all but 2 of those toons in the span i've been playing.
I'm on my 2nd BD i'm making to keep this time as well as the Soul Breaker whose almost 40 that's using Duals again from 20-40.That Should be proof that i'm one of those that's in no rush to hit 85 just to be cannon fodder for the guys and girls " in the legit and unlegit top grade OE'd out the whazoo gear".
To also say something about group play gimping you. Is it really a gimp if you have a actual live healer in party? WL's who pole cata's don't see group play as a gimp. They see it as a strength. Means they live longer when a pull goes bad cuz thier partys there watching thier back?
You screw up on lvling your Tank solo cuz you don't wanna gimp it and whose got your back? That screw up just set you back in your quest to be the fastest player to hit 76 legit without boxed toons.
Thanks for the armor and weapon advice guys and girls. I'll work on collecting the cash to try out those A grade ideas.
i dont say its gimp to have smb in party. but its gimp to go defense armor , -str + con and blunt 1 hand health.
ur tank abilities are usefull, at 76+. before a full defence tank is for the birds and bring nobody something. not for u, not for ur healer. its only wasting of time because 95% of the ppl play at 76+ range. also the legit one.
and tk isnt a warlord. tk was with sws hardest class to lvl because he dont have any attack skills and all content could be done without tank (only a few exceptions). aw ol etc ppp are no tanks.
but i guess u will end tk soon and reroll :P

Like I said thanks for all the advice and also thanks for more clarification on what you meant by gimp. I'm not seeing TK as hard at all to lvl. Much easier than an OL in theca and demon with fists before kamaels and newbie buffs.

Before vanguard TK was a pain to lvl, OL was too before the mana VR and the new improvements.
Thank god those old days are gone and more people are playing TK.
