I chose the Adena art contest because I feel it brings out the creativity of the community and doesn't require anyone to have any special skill per-say (like being able to make a wallpaper) for prizes I deff like vita pops and unique in-game rewards like special hats and such so you can show off to your friends...

I even like that Quest that at the end showed us a movie about the kamael coming. Best thing about events and quest like that is you have to be at the computer to be involded in it.

1. halloween. it seemed the most interactive and fun
2. no. none have been interesting to me.
3. haven't entered so can't say...but some like making movies aren't in my skills
4. both? ^^ If i had to choose revita pops and in game stuff. Cool in game stuff...no lame buff scrolls/potions/etc special accessories or weapon or something would be cool.

Don't want contests, want this official website to be updated and correct for things like Skills, Recipes, Weapons, Armor and a nice drop list like they have on the korean site >< since l2wh is no longer updating :(
A good webmaster could do this in a week pulling info from game files :o
Isn't it a little embarassing that a fan site like http://lineage2.rochand.com hs much more accurate and up to date info than the official site? :confused:

I got to agree with Archaya, we prefer the in game events from which we can all benefit and have fun participating. Makes the grind more pleasant.

Never really liked any of the contests... They are more a waste of time/resources than anything else. If you think about it, how many players actually participate in the offline contests, whereas compared to the amount of players participate and or are effected by in game events. Not trying to be rude, but the contests are genuinely a waste of time for the majority of your player-base.

as a ultra prize for winning thus fly said player providing they are 18+yrs of age to NCNA for photo op and a day helping cm and gm's in game. with lots of photos capturing said mythical gm's. im sure there would be more tacked on but thats the jist of it.

Now, take the Holloween event from Lin1. We got a tranformation that was actually cool, you could wear it full time and it was fun.
You have transformations in game now, but how about some pure fun ones?
or the wands, etc from Lin1. Imagine how a field of battle would be leveled if a level 80+ toon was turned into an elpy with no armor and no weapons for a few minutes if a wand was used against them -- lol good stuff there.
No, I would think that at least once a month a mini event of some type, friday thru monday, double drops, double exp, unique items of some value to the community that don't slow down your picking up of drops while you hunt normally, and updated info on the main site :) maybe even some pazaze :)

5) I said this.. 2-3 years ago.. and I'll say it again. A Pk-A-Bot contest... for 3 monts. Each AFK user.. you kill, gives 1 lvl of Vitality. If you're already full.. then it becomes a buff... and increases 1 min per AFK player you kill.

2) I didnt only because I am European and there was only one for eu players.
3) Nope if its wallpaper/movie etc. contest. (I really like Photoshop :D)
4) c) something like t-shirts, computer equipment with the logo of l2 etc. (something that we can touch in real life) or in-game items like not tradeable vesper sets or the best raise player lvl by 1-5.
5) completely new, you may contest in which we would have to design a weapon, armor, monster or terrain with everything you need for fun in the world l2 (exp / rb / dungeon places) created on pc or painted on a sheet of paper and scanned into a computer.
If you would be able to do such a contest can reward was to work together with NCsoft to finish your project and give it live in the next future updates. (this would be a prize if somebody make smth very professional and cool)

I wont vote for any of them, for the simple fact that there aren't any I liked or even wanted to participate in for that matter. From the looks of it, the majority of others have just about the same thought process as I do. I don't think many of us would mind doing things that would help us help L2. Much like the idea above about making a commercial type video, or even having someone update the L2 website. These are all things that can help out more then just a single winner in these events.

lol, out of game contests take WAY less resources (time and work) to run
than actually fixing problems or doing anything in game. Think up idea -> post one page on web -> wait for responses -> take not very much time to judge it -> whoo it looks like NC did something when it's the players that did all the work. /yawnzors. I've never done one and 99% chance never will.
instead, spending some money or time on advertising would do wonders for everyone's game play by maybe getting new players in. How much does some internet advertising cost? ANY advertising would be better than NONE and most players don't care at all about the out of game contests. Most pepole want stuff in game, and this includes new players.
and as for in game event stuff, I want things that DON'T take up room in my inventory ffs.

Lineage 2 was a great game due to it's end-game/replay value, and when you have servers that have No-PvP/Competition, there is no end game replay value to make players want to login and play, at which most just quit out of boredom, and or go play other games... not because they are better games, but because it's something else to do.

I think its ironic that the kids that botted their way to become L2 invinceable PvsPers and therefor have some purpose to their lives wind up with nobody to play with...kinda poetic justice.

I would like to request though that if NC does do another wallpaper contest to PLEASE UPDATE THE FAN SITE KIT which hasn't been updated since the Kamael/Hellbound updates.
There is still plenty of stuff to advertise about this game. It's not like we've had our final chronicle or throne, we are getting more and more content each year. Jesus, if that trash ebony can afford advertising I’m sure a huge company like ncsoft could put a little muscle into some for l2.
Spare me the dead horse beatings; there is plenty of stuff to do still, especially those who don't play 24/7. I've had more fun sieging the last few weeks than I have in the last 2 years of playing this game!
If a pvp clan wants competition, make some. Especially servers where just 1 clan dominates, they should stop being little whiney [female dogs] and break off into 2 clans and pvp each other, rather than just sitting in hero shout moaning they have no one to play with. I don't really see what’s so hard.

It's true that contests are something that can usually happen faster than an in-game event, and I will host a couple of contests per year. I feel that contests are fun out-of-game events that encourage participation on the official forums.
I am also compiling ideas for future in-game events that will cater more to your desires.
