- They can't QA a new event properly, and nearly all 32 bit users are experiencing crashes and having their tickets closed for various reasons. (negligible revenue stream impact)
- They haven't managed to update any of the new update information on the web page in about 4 years. (negligible revenue stream impact)
- They have said that they are working on getting this new service available. (wewt positive revenue stream impact!)
Good news for you: Your request is likely getting more attention than the rest in the quickly dieing, hardly supported red-headed stepchild of NCSoft. Hell, I think the L1 support system probably has a better response to their player base than we have received over the last year.
You can always roll another alt or change a sub into your main with the switch.
Am I the only one that thinks breaking a sub off into another toon is a big gimicky and dumb?
Yes, and No.
There have been a few situations in which I understood the point of this service... for example, I have a 79 Sagi Sub which use to be my Main... It dosen't provide me with any useful subclass skills for my Eva Saint, and I want a Tank Sub for the Subclass skill. So I can delete my Archer and Level a Tank, but why would I want to waste a useful character like that? It would make more sense for me to invest into moving it into a free slot, instead of just deleting all that work.
The other scenario that made sense was lets say you have a level 80 Mage sub, makes more sense to just break that off your main and put it on a different character to get the higher level skills (Protections, Enlightenment, Magicians Will, etc.) than just creating a whole new character... but to my understanding next update, subs are going to be able to go to level 85.
Obviously the cost of a service like this would be a huge factor, but there are some scenarios in which people can benefit from this service, but outside of that, it's not THAT big of a deal, I personally would rather see an account separation service, in which you can take a character/subclass from one account, and be able to have an additional/separate account UNDER THE SAME PLAYNC with that character.
Jyrki you didnt point the most obvious as if someone is a crafter or a dominator and had a sub he can not use the subclass change since those 2 classes are forbitten to change into sub class! those ppl may have now the chance to play their sub as main!!!
same as if you deleted that sub ... ie skill remains, can't learn skill for new subclass unless you delete all sub skills and retrain
u must delete all sub skills, not just the one from that specific subclass?
You mean if you have 3 subs and decide to "detach" one of them you will retain all the subclass skills but will not be able to get skills from a new sub untill you delete the skills from the detached sub?
But if you have only 2 subs and detach one of them will you be able to learn skills from a third sub without deleting the missing sub skills?
