Default Re: Christmas in Lineage - Change to planned event!
For the more "technical" response...

It had a lot to do with the version difference between Korea and the US.
Korea was the one that made the event for all of the territories. It was a great event in my opinion, but the version difference was a little hard on us. With new content on QA for us.. and going to PTS very early next year.. hopefully this won't be as big a problem in the future.

It also didn't help that all of the other territories had their own event bugs while this was going on.

Ultimately, it was a time constraint thing.. Korea is still trying to help us fix the event, but it's just too risky for something to go wrong at this point. We hope to still get it fixed and release it at some point in time, but for now, we will have to go with the tried and true double xp/double drop. If you'd like to see and mess around with the event.. it's up on PTS. I'll stop in time to time and throw out banana juices and adena for you guys in Gludin Town.

Sincere apologies from myself.

At least they are honest about the bad programing..... kinda makes you wanna to go the L1 side.... not to post for the double xp/drop event, just to point out the kind of Support the other Lineage game gets...

PS - meaning the l2.bin error was a program issue and not something wrong with our computers as Frostradamus is suggesting...
+1
brave employee... wanna see him here..
Notice the trend with NCSoft employee's: Lineage > Lineage 2 > Aion. Give it time, he will be here eventually.
Actually though, the Lineage 2 team has been so closed mouth about everything for years it is hard for us to give quarter when one is needed. They should let us know straight up about stuff and feed back. It would help us to feel that we are important to them and not just a stream of cash.
Agreed - I have to give the guy a lot of points for saying "look, we messed up and here is the reason why... "
That kind of honesty may be too much of a shock for the L2 community. I would be willing to risk it though to get some real answers.
