EOGamer welcomes Jayla to the family

As per the first of Febuary, Jayla (formerly of L2 Vault) takes over as Managing Editor of L2 EOGamer.

The site has long been in need of focused direction and leadersship, as I have had far too many other EOGamer projects to focus much beyond the wiki.

I have long been very impressed with Jayla and Tamohs dedicated work and effort on L2 Vault. While there has been some poking back and forth as competitors do, I've always seen Jayla as a strong and focused leader, and I am very happy that she decided to accept to become a part of our family. And I do really mean what I said, as I would never have taken her on in such a heavy position if I didn't have every bit of confidence that she can excel in it.

So I hope you all will welcome her and wish her good luck in getting L2 EOGamer solidified as a solid and comprehensive information site for Lineage 2.

Was thinking about your wicki the other day, will check in later and see if anything is happening there. :)

We have many new things, like Hellbound information, Raid boss list and many raid boss drop info, updated quests, etc.

Sadly its hard to see whats updated, as we haven't had time to post news and the frontpage of the wiki is dismal and outdated.

Maybe you should try to "manage" getting the URL in your sig correct first?

Im sure you allready thought about this but why not make it connect to the DB on the frontpage and print it with just with latest date ?
Makes the frontpage auto update when you change or upload something.

Hmm. You hide the sign-up page to the wiki pretty well. Let's check if it works ... (After all, why even have a wiki if random people with too much time can't edit it? Might as well use a normal CMS instead ...)

Well anonymous access is removed as it just created a real mess and lots of advertisements spam thrown in.

So instead of forcing the user to go through lots of anti spam measures, we feel that just having sign up is much better.

The sign up page should be easily accessible through the top right link which is always there if you're not signed in.

Its a unified wiki system to, so your login will be universal to any wiki we have.

If the Wiki is any active, this would mean a lot of "news items". :)

I went through the usual method on most MediaWikis: Special Pages -> Log in / Create account -> Create an account (http://l2.eogamer.com/w/index.php?title=Special:UserLogin&type=signup). No problems there (it even re-assigned some of my old stuff from 2007 back to me :D)

? Where did you try to register at? At the wiki?

Don't try to register on the front page at l2.eogamer.com, that is a wp system that is being replaced, so you can't sign up. It will be returning very soon with a brand spanking new frontend based on Acquia Drupal with Unified Domain Access.
