Could you please explain to me, which of DA or PK stands better in PvP at high end levels?
I have heard DA has an advantage because of the incredible panther, but doesn't a Phoenix Knight receive an awesome pet as well at level 83 the imperial phoenix?
So, would DA and the panther still beat the PK with the phoenix?
In oly it can be a toss up between the 2. Usually comes down to damage (but I guess most tank fights are like that). The HK is kinda' sick now though. It has access to 3 cancels and the panther left unchecked is a wrecking ball.
The virtually immortal PK is very strong also and has considerable damage output depending on the set-up. Both are solid tanks for Oly, but I'd give it to the HK simply because of the cancels.
Buff control in Oly is ridiculously important, as proved by all the 'waaaaah Soul Hounds!" QQ flying around.
In open again I'd give it to the HK. Keep the panther alive for long enough and it will seriously rip things apart for you. Also ToD is a real ***** when your trying to spam pots to stay alive. On top of that, Insane Crusher can friggin' hurt (why they added melee weak to Judgement/Tribunal I don't know _-_). They boosted the HK quite a bit in the last few updates.
There are going to be differences... the biggest one being survivability of a PK vs the buff canceling ability of a DA. If you are looking to camp oly, you really can't go wrong with either class, but make sure you don't think "high end levels" is 78+... or even 80 or 81, they don't start to shine until 83+
I have played very competitive PvP in the past and was very good at it. Yes, in a different game and like 10-5 years ago...
However, I have recently moved to L2 and I find hard to understand most of the abberiations, you guys are using. :)
What is DLM?
Yes, I do understand high end levels is 83+ (this is how I defined it as well).
Also I've tried to play on a European server (Luna), but I've spent several hours and I hardly found 2-3 players. Where can I find more players? Is there any server with RP elements? I hate when people don't roleplay their class and gets like (wow, omg, wtf, pwn etc). At least when I was playing, it was an honour to be a skilled roleplayer. Any suggestions for servers?
One more question, should I learn all my skills or not? Is there a danger I will run out of skill points when I max out EXP and haven't learnt all necessary skills?
What is DLM?
The (abbreviated) name of a DA hero on Phoenix.

On Teon. Luna is a bad server for all practical reasons.
Also bear in mind that there is almost no new players in L2 and that most old players either level their alts from lvl 1 to lvl 40 in less than a day or only do Kamaloka instance with them (getting a level or two in under 30 min once a day). And that you can make lvl 20 in less than 2 hours if you follow the advice of the Newbie Guide NPC.
Is there any server with RP elements?
Not at this state of the game.

You should prioritize the skills you learn. You cannot screw yourself by learning "unneeded" skills, but you won't have the SP to learn every skill you want just at the moment you reach the level where you can learn them. And some skills are an obvious waste of SP (like Charm on elven tank).
L2 is a "mature" game. The majority of its players are highlevels (78+). The majority of recently developed lowlevel content is to help people reach those levels faster.
Aion is more "newbie" friendly because it's a new game, and NCsoft is interesed in getting new people into it the most. Aion is a better game if you want to spend a few months playing for fun, but if you want to participate in a server drama that unfolds for years, L2 is a much better game.
There is roleplaying alive in L2. It occurs more between long time friends then in the public at large. Sometimes those friends hang out together in the same clans, so some clans do have roleplaying.
If you play L2 legit, and I Strongly hope that you do, it will be quite some time before your are competitive in the end game PvP...if you ever are. L2 is a delightfully complex world in many ways, PvP being just one of them. I hope that you have what it takes to stick it out.
DLM stands for DontLookatMe, the toon they are referring to. It grew up on the old Erica (now Sayha) and later transferred. In some clans that transfer was cause for rejoicing.
DLM barely won the match, and TheStig would have won if he wasn't so cheap and got additional maces with nuke augments. They have almost identical gear/enchants/etc. Except DLM has a better bow.
