Next tuesday the 23rd is going to suck major, without this event, everyone is going to feel again that the exp is going super slow. This event is such a tease, can we please have it extended even further, Maybe for another week =) Finally gaining ground on those high lvls. =))

This was a good event to come back to. My DA is finally in A grade, while my SH is inching closer to S grade with 3 levels attained over the long weekend. I hope to make 74 today, and 76 by the time the event is over. (Sadly, I have to go back to work starting tomorrow, so don't hold me to that.)
By the way, thanks for not deleting the XP/SP chests from the previous event a few months ago. There's nothing like getting 50% more XP per kill at 300% vitality. :cool:
n the case of this event, u just need to summon the pet when u have 10 petals, and it takes 10 seconds to up the vita, then unsummon the pet. so 3h = 180 min = 10800 seconds
so 1 pet = 1080 used for vita up.
In my case 1 Cov is around 2 vita up, so i need a new pet after around 500 CoV... (around 42 hours) !!
42 hours... But i 'only' play 3h per day... so i really need a new pet after 14 days... lol?

Well as it's impossible to extend this event I have to say that this event was done ''RIGHT''. I mean it was really well done and nice concept keeping everyone happy with vitality bonus :)
so the purpose of vita is to help the casual player catch up... how is that spose to happen if the hardcore players have infinite vita and xp 24/7 while the casual player has really no more than usual? xp is useless unless you have the $ for gear and 81+ spellbooks. rushing everyone to 85 jus makes that stuff 100x more expensive.

This event is good at 2 weeks. Although I think this event is a step in the right direction to help everyone out. As for the 81+ people who are getting this even too? So what? What are they really getting other then more towards 85 that the casual players really need? At least this can help those people get to 76+, which isn't very good anymore... It is a start at least.

SP is hard to come by
well i dont really take many brez... but once you have your 80 skills youll have more sp than youll know what to do with. unless you have unlimited codex and adena for skill enchants its hard to use very much of your hundreds of millions of sp.
im jus sayin sp doesnt help me at all.... give out something everyone can benefit from.
we havnt had a good adena event ina long while... the staff event was ok but w/ that 1 and almost every other event latly its alot of shadow/event items shadow items can hardly be called a prize since they are gone shortly and event items are untradable. event items at the very least should be tradable to any toon w/in a plaync master account, but i would much prefer openly tradable items... maybe jus make them a little harder to obtain but increase thier usefullness via tradability.
btw anything less than S grade items, 13+ SA crystals, element stones/crystals, brez, S enchants, and rare tradable avatar items is usless... dont hand out A or B grade stuff, if someone wants lower grade equip they can sell thier usefull prize and buy the item.

Yeah, 2 weeks of insanity is more than enough. Server populations after the update on the 23rd will be 1/2 or even less than what they are now as everyone will need a day to unplug and rest.

I find these events where you have to grind DURING them very stressful, and then we start getting pissy with each other in the AOE party when there's not enough petals to go around, or people hiding out and soloing to get the best xp for themselves and not partying because the vit 4 xp is too good to share. And it's totally unfair to people who just can't play much during the event.
This event has helped many people get ahead, but I'd much rather we just got many vit pops per day that can be saved for use later. I do look forward to going back to normal xp, even if it's slow.
why not making retail 2x so maybe new players will come to play? Isn't that in the l2 staff interests? Events like this are making old ppl happy not the new ones (maybe they are frenzzy for just 2 weeks).

Well, as much as I appreciate this event (making tremendous xp is always welcome), I think it destroys the purpose of vitality.
When it was introduced it was made to allow the persons playing a short amount of time every now and then to get a XP boost, but with this event, even though you make better xp then usual (if you play like 2 hrs a day average), it's nowhere as good as people playing 15-18 hrs a day, with perma vit 4. It's not like a fixed number of lollipops for each char, not tradeable ect, it's an xp multiplier available as long as you want. So I think having this event end is agood thing, and people will definitely look for the next one with :love:... :)

Great event. I wish I could play more than 1-2 hours a day. In my opinion there should be more events like this but only for weekends, when ppl have more time to play. Do it for sat/sun only but more often, like every second (non-siege) weekend or once a month. GJ NCsoft, finally :)

Definitely, more events like this please :) Actually in last week I decided to quit L2 for Aion, but then I red on forum how good the event is and had to make decision : 2x XP weekend on Aion or... 3x XP weekend in L2 and finish few things before quitting for good. Well the weekend extended to a week and I'm back in this drug called L2 ;P
This was an excellent and timely event for a lot of people since it coincided with winter break for students / parents.
However - like people have said here, it does end up causing people to obsess on the game and burn out, so I think having something like this only periodically is a good thing.
My other suggestion on this is NCSoft consider limiting super-beneficial events like this to lower level toons. Aside from general suspicions about how players got to 82+, if this sort of thing were for pre-80 or pre-76 toons I think it would very nicely encourage people to level subclasses and visit more areas on the map.
This event has made Silent Valley and Forge of the Gods insanely overcrowded.
i mean, i already have max vit each day, as i only xp til vitality drops to half of level 3 and next day i have ful vit again
and while doing that i still spend to much in game, more than 2 hours per day
so to take advantage of the event i have to xp 2-3 times more, which is unacceptable
so it's a useless event
they should have made an event that increased base rates, for example vit4 should give 6x rates, vit2 4x etc, that would be useful
I don't want the event to extend either. It's too crowded out there. The way i exp is with a couple of Boxes and i only exp until i run out of Vit 4. Thats about 1 1/2-2 hours or so laid back. I find that just about right. As a matter of fact I will have gotten where i wanted to tonight, so i may take a few days off.
Plus its expensive to grind like crazy....although i love the stems and thread i get from 75+ level mobs....thats really neat and will really help me get the equipment i need.
BTW there really is no purpose to increase level if you are legit. The cheaters use so many 3rd party programs you don't stand a prayer in hell against them anyways.
Then again there may be merit in attaining 80+ in A Grade :/

Well, advancing from S to S80 gives you advantage (or puts on equal level) against many non-cheaters too.
Yeah, a hordes of clan folk suddenly appeared in dino forest right after even started, so its hard to find a spot now. but I still can exp in some places there, having to run around a few t-rexes which does not really increase exp rate. I actually think I will have better progress (on the leechers of course) when this event ends and those hordes will leave my favorite spots lol
Oh and yeah there is not much point in xp past 81 on StS - skills are either useless or unobtainable (more likely both), so I only play this char now to xp lowbie chars - no spot in their level range is even close to xp they get by leeching in dino.

Everyone's becoming very spoiled since vit was introduced. An event every now and then giving us some good vit is great, but i hate the idea of constantly being able to have lvl 4 vit just by stocking up on vita pops when you pass the grocery store!
Might as well boost the xp rates and take away vit system if you're just gonna offer full vit to everyone all the time.
Oh wait, then we'd have the people complaining about the fact that they didnt get 300% xp in addition to the raised xp rate....
I've missed my goal of reaching S grade by the end of the event...unavoidable with things at work picking up. In fact, I'll be working late at the office again tonight (which is a good thing). The SH went from 70 to 75.40...and that's good enough for me. Thanks for the event.
Hmmm I don't know what to say.
I practically missed whole event ... I played only 4-5 h first day (did 1.5%!) ...and last day around 7-8 h have done around 2 % :)
But when I was going sleep my first thought was "Good that even is going end - I would be like Zombie after 2 weeks of 8 h everyday grind" :p
Ofc I'm jealous to see clan mates level up .... but to be optimistic.
They spend ziloin of Adena on SS while I just save all my money ;)
They now need craft new sets and spend next Adena :D

Your definition of 'fail' is, frankly, silly.
This is just for you, and its not a moan (as frankly I don't care not having IC or S weapon @79), but an explanation to show you that I've tried many things to not have to use low level equipment.
Not everyone in L2 is great at the market (read: can leave the PC on overnight), great at crafting (read: lucky at crafting), or levels using a class that doesnt cost loads to level (read: PK takes lot of ssa to kill stuff with low patk & low level weapon). I've leveled a wolf up, but thats frankly useless atm because the wolf gear costs as much as a lvl12 crystal or something. I've tried leveling a 10 crys since I can remember, even on Dino Isle before Epilogue, and it never leveled. I tried crafting expensive things a number of times and failed them all except for a Tate Necklace (thank goodness one craft worked). I've tried OE'ing 2 A grade weapons that have both popped at +4 (not lucky).
Maybe if by "fail" you meant "unlucky" I could agree.
