if 2 clans signed to attack a castle, why is it that an unsigned clan can come to attack without getting any kind of penalty?
it kinda makes the whole clan/alliance self protection thing a bit pointless when one clan (I wont mention botted up characters so this doesnt descend into a bot thread) goes in and decimates the castle and then walks in the signed leader of a clan with 14 members.
Wouldn't it be more sensible to stop that happening - greedy clans zerging the siege...
I've always had the idea that if an unsigned character killed anyone, signed or otherwise, on a battlefield, they gain karma just as they would off-field. Battlefield rules should only apply to signed clans.
increase the xp loss imo, 4% per death is reasonable
nah, make it 30%XP penalty and then auto port anyone who dies unsigned on the siege field to town. Don't let castle luck or any XP loss reduction aspect of the game be applied to sieges.
That'll make it a penalty.

Learn to defend your castles, and stop cry. If you are losing to a force that CANNOT resurrect on field then you deserve to lose your castle to an alt clan.

Obviously you are crying... because you want some sort of penalty greater than xp loss/non-rez for non-signed clans. You are also right... I am better than you. :)
