We received reports early this evening regarding some mob boycotts in the Catacombs and Necropolises. After some investigation, we were able to identify an issue regarding the Daylight Savings Maintenance, which deeply offended cata/necro mobs, as well as the Mammons family. Unfortunately, the issue still exists at this time. However, we are having some serious discussions with the SSQ server hamster in hopes of coming to an agreement with the missing NPC's and we will update this thread as soon as we have additional information for you.
Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Hamsters like cucumber FYI.
Although I don't, and never wish to, own a hamster, but I can tell you that you should replace them with rats. They're loyal and will work without pay. Rats rule!

Are Sayha's catas and necros working again? Was rather frustrating last night that I could not get in and when the sever shut down, well, I did too. Hopefully it is fixed by the time I get home from work.
Nah, mobs don't experience that. I bet their Union has other portal like thingy that would teleport them from one dimension (like a waiting area for mobs) to another (the hunting zone).
And for the l2.bin thingy... please for the Love of Eva, go post there:
"How much are you able to adjust/fix bugs on the North American (NA) side, as opposed to what has to be handed off to Korea?
I would like to clear up a common misconception: QA does not fix bugs; developers do. QA tests bug reports from players, tries to reproduce bugs from those reports, then sends those bugs to the development team, who in return fix the issue. However, localization bugs are addressed here in our offices thanks to our awesome localization team."
My guess is that they are not going to do anything. They will let this cycle out till next monday when you will have to re-sign for cata's and pretend it never happened.
Merchant of Mammon was spotted on Padre Isle with several Spring Break Dark Elf chickies. He appeared rather...um, busy. I asked him if he was coming back to work soon and he gave me a thumbs up. Actually, looking at it more closely, I realized it was a different finger he was holding up to me, not his thumb.

XD
Rum, did you see Blacksmith of Mammon around there too? If not, I bet you he must be in a steamy spa with couple masseuses... Tisk tisk to these two womanizing lazy Unionized dorfs.
Ok this was kinda ok for a few days butt people are trying to get things done in the game.
1. No sgems for crafting
2. No unsealing of armor
3. no scrystals = the shot/sps market sux
4. cant buy any brez's
5. people would like to change out weapons
6. no SA's
7. No Soul Crystal leveling off lilith
8. can't farm any acient adena for that s80 weapon that takes 400 sgems and so on
we also need a level 80 plus catacomb if u got time to put one of those in as well....
9....
We demand customer service with a smile. time to get on it folks
Hmmm... ok so it has now been quite a long bit of time since we have heard form NC in regards to this issue.
Can you explain why it is only the Sayha server that is having this problem and why you cant just change the information to match the other servers that are running correctly?
Personally, I need greater magic haste pots .... s gems for a weapon SA ... need to switch over another weapon for an alt so I can lvl that ... And we all need AA and brezzes :P
So now instead of getting the things done that I needed to get done ... I will sit in town and not be able to have full use of my account because basically ... Im not paying the crazy prices ppl have boosted their sales up to because of the lack of AA/trading and I dont wanna go out and die to mobs and not be able to get a brez... sorry i dont have a pocket cardinal for salvation or a pocket hierophant for buffs... and i dont plan on making another account to get either :P
How is NC gonna make this up to us and how long will we have to continue to sit around like this?
The issue that is affecting Sayha's SSQ period occurred during Daylight Savings Maintenance. Maintenance was performed on each server individually and this issue only occurred with Sayha. We're trying to identify a way to correct the current SSQ cycle without having any adverse affects on future cycles. (See: Discussions with the SSQ hamsters in hopes of coming to an agreement.) I know it seems like something we could just turn on, but unfortunately, it's a bit more complicated than that.
I'll update again when I have more information to share. We understand this is terribly inconvenient and apologize for that. Thanks for hanging in there!

My general advice is that the GM's should not worry about the butt people. It's butt people, in my opinion, who are ruining the game in the first place.
Too, no matter what you try to fix for butt people, they are always stumbling around acting like--well--butt people.
If it's just the butt people, I wouldn't worry too much. There is little chance the butt people can actually make it into the catas anyway. Most of them are probably standing around the Oly statue anyway--they've never really been IN a cata......
As a stand in I think rum should randomly go stand at a cata/necro, move to a different one every hour, and swap peoples sealed gear for unsealed, sell brezzies for aa, and generally fulfill the lack of mammon we have.

oh wait he's chained to that little island nowadays...
*bites tongue*:D
Very frustrating! Grrrr =)So this is how you get Gyrlie to growl... err i mean.. finally someone i can sell my greater magic haste pots to :P
Now, do we have any volunteers to stand in as the mobs..?I'll clanwar ya :D
It's a shame. Shame on NC NA. We have serious technical problem 3 days long and all we know about it from support is bla-bla-bla about hamsters. Not funny at all. Think any private server's support fixed it for 1 day. Remember we all pay for quality gameplay.

Drakko's new phrase 'butt people' is now on Urban Dictionary.

We also play because it's not in breach of copyright.

1. NCSoft has a pretty complicated product (that I generally like) in Lineage 2. However, they are infamous in the industry for pitiful customer service. I don't know why you were expecting more at this point....
2. If you can demonstrate how 3 days out of a cata in a game is going to threaten either to end the world or mankind's very existence, then I'll join you in jumping up and down in outrage. It's a game.
You play 3-4 hours a day and might have gone into the catas a couple of those days? (Heck, I'll give you 5 hours for all 3 days!). Big deal. Adjust. Talk to another player. Actually sit and your keyboard while your toons are logged in and interact with other real players for a change. If you're going to argue that you lost 24 hours x multiple toons in the catas then I'm sure everyone down the food chain will understand that your 7-9 toons were unable to farm for 3 days.....
Save the outrage for something important, perhaps?
Actually the benefit of this is noticing all the A bots either standing around with their thumb up their , or doing runs outside the cata's in places that haven't seen had any form of a player in them for years.
I'm happy to announce we are again on friendly terms with the Catacomb, Necropolis, and Mammon NPC's. You should be able to participate in the Seal Period as normal (assuming you're signed up under Dawn...)
Thank you all for your patience and please let us know if you have any issues relating to SSQ.

+1 Drakkos. I totally agree, and even though it was frustrating that we could not get into the catas, it was not the end of the world either. I went and leveled at other spots and was just happy to be playing the game.
