this is probably on the forums somewhere but I looked for awhile and could not find anything .what I want ot know is what is the best class for faster leveling looking for more of a melee type if their is a fast one.
Probably something with a pole. With newbie VR till 75 you can pretty much pole without a healer, providing you stick with green mobs, have an OE pole at each grade and have a nice supply of GHP's. CH/Castle buffs help too.
anything that poles...aoe is the fastest way to level period. But really now a days its not hard to level anything quickly so i don't think it matters too much.

You're new? Completely new to the game?
If so, you are asking the wrong question imo.
You don't really need "the fastest leveling melee". Any toon will level 'fast' these days--in fact, too fast.
If you are new to the game your issue will be ADENA--not levels. Adena takes TIME, the opposite of fast leveling.
Focus on learning how to manufacture adena legitimately within the game. Your toon will level too fast as it is--even if you picked a "slow" one.

greetings sir
for levelling the fastest, you are looking at several options. the hardest option is levelling via Area Effect skills. in the Melee class, this boils down to three options: Warlord (uses a polearm, his natural autoattacks hit all mobs in his swing) Gladiator and Tyrant (uses special attacks that are Physical attribute damage).
however there is a drawback to these options: they are difficult to do successfully. mobs usually do not stack correctly so that warlords will hit all the mobs the first time. Gladiator/tyrant attacks have a fairly narrow radius of Area effect, so stacking is a big issue.
in any case although these styles of levelling can be fast (if done right) they are NOT lucrative.
for your gear, you will be spending several hundred million adena. yes, several. hundred. million. adena drops from monsters will be between 1k adena and 4k adena in some high level spots.
so you will need to sell the drops you get, and learn what are the valuable resources in the game to earn your cash.

Good Luck sir, and welcome to Lineage2.
what?
AOE is the easiest way to lvl...
warlord, destroyer, gladdy, and dwarves all make good polearm users. tyrants can use a pole but w/ claws and proper buffs they can shred mobs single target or if you really wanna aoe you can use the sonic aoe skill... glad has the same skill but lacks the use of ogre totem for 30% higher patk, hence its aoe skill is not as strong.
aoe is also extreamly lucrative (if done right)
in lower lvls a player is able to kill piles of mobs w/ 1 or 2 wild sweep type skills... that amounts to 2x shot triggers compared to the 4x-10x shot triggers it would take to melee a single target and still less shots than killing a single mob w/ a powerstrike type skill since you are hitting many mobs...
in later lvls this can only be done on low hp mobs wich give little xp and adena, but aoe on dungeon mobs is very lucrative in that you can melee w/ pole 10, 20, 40 mobs for much less shots but the same adena as you can single target kill them.
a aoer should be able to support him/her self w/ gear/mats to B grade w/o outside support. 52+ support toons should be added to maintain quick and efficient kills in profitable areas...
spend less time on boards and more time experiencing game mechanics imo
Patk has no effect on the damage of Sonic/Force skills. only Force/Sonic Level of charge has any impact.
when was the last time you spent time levelling a melee 1-52 by AOE? ive done it recently, and it hasnt gotten easier. low levels cant hit more than 9 mobs at once before 40, so levelling is both expensive, and a bit difficult given the lack of Patk of the aoer, lack of Provoke, Lack of Shock Stomp, and lack of heal.
i dont care who you are, you CANNOT (let me repeat that for you visually imparied folk) CANNOT (C-A-N-N-O-T) level through 52 without outside heals.
for this, i have written in my post "this is difficult to do successfully" .
in this case it is not I who need learn some Game Mechanics.

i jus did it 2 times.... once on destro (1-52) and once on a warlord (subclass) i dont even load a buffer for that nonsense anymore... newbie buffs + patk,dw,focus juices....
pre 40 there is plenty of areas you can pull large trains and still not die... gorgon flower garden is a good example... newbie cubic is plenty to heal you there(Common Glaive + Brig set)... other areas require you to agro 1 or 2 groups then skill b4 they hit you....
40+ is much easier the areas around ivory tower are so easy its jus plain silly... jus pull a train and skill, when you start to get low on hp take a normal shop heal pot and melee kill 2 or 3 mobs w/ pole youll be full again.
if you have heals b4 lvl 52 you should be killing 4x hp mobs that are higher lvl than u...
you dont jus pick a lvling area at random or because it looks pretty... you pick it for its mob difficulty and effort -> xp/adena ratio. w/ a little poking around and some panning you can do alot in this game that people think is impossible.
you may be right about patk being non factor in sonic skills as ive never really looked at it, but i can 1 shot no crit in ogre but not in rabbit... maybe just luck of the draw.
ps. kamael bezerker isnt a horrible aoe class for how good it is at single target killing

I've single targeted mobs and aoe'd them, and my experience contradicts what you just wrote. AOE is a way to make some margin of profit while leveling, especially on a Warlord.
Btw the advice you got about adena being an issue is true. You need to plan ahead and start engaging in some money making activities. Some people buy low/sell high (can be tricky, and ties up adena reserves waiting for the market to shift), some craft shots on a dwarf (not such a great profit margin), and others farm in demand base materials needed for crafting. I'd say a mix of all 3 of those would be your best bet, though others might have better insight for you. Oh and if you roll a fighter you can try going down to the catacombs, ppl pay pretty good money for AA.

lol no. I'm aoeing atm on my sws in catas on green and blue mobs. she does fine with grocery store heal pots and using extra mp for self heal. other classes can do it too just have to maybe sit for hp sometimes maybe. newbie buffs are sufficient. if you can't take a whole room of 8 mobs at a time then you just do the 4 aggro and then the 4 non aggro. I was doing the same with her in D grade. She can in fact take a whole room of 8 mobs by herself with noob and self buffs. And any fighter class can handle 4 mobs at a time with a pole and w/o heals up to 52. so yer wrong. maybe "only" 4 mobs isn't real aoe to some but it's still better than 1 mob at a time.
berzerker, tyrant, and duelist are all also good at skill-only AOE using their class weapons (not pole) you just have to get creative with where you go and some practice to get a good system down. atm all fighter classes can pole fine, there will be some pole nerf eventually but don't know when.

Hi!
Imo u should try Berserker, and try aoe exp.
I made some tests befor... mooved from 46 (first aoe skill) to 56 for 8 hours ^_^
And exp from 46 to 52 - Dion, Canyon Tanor;
52-60 Near Oren
60-72 Near Aden (forgot spot name...)

If you need heals, you fail.
