I left L2 two years ago, in the end i managed to get a lvl 61 SE on Hindemith (apparently its Phoenix now) and a lvl 56 EE on Teon. Theyre both fully equipped in Avatar(SE) and Blue Wolf(EE).
If anyone on either Phoenix or Teon feel like giving me any advice about how i should get started again, or would like to help me ingame, i would be very glad.
I left for various reasons; 1. I couldnt find any parties to level-up my chars. 2. I didnt feel like starting over. and 3. Most improvements to the game were made for newbies and top lvl players, and i was right in the middle, so those improvements helped me little or not at all...

Welcome back :) Allways glad to see people come back to there senses. hehe
And for help, well first what server you gonna play on? Pheonix or Teon ?
Either of the servers would be fine with me, but i guess i love my EE more, im from EU so Teon would be best connection-wise and i have more adena on that server ^_^

Guess Teon it is then :)
Well about getting partys, Im sure that you would be able to get a Kamaloka party each day especially as a healer.
The EE class now have something that is called the Inquisitor stance and is basicly a "nuker mode" so with that the EE is more solo friendly.
Getting partys in lower levels is not a easy task as a support.
Since they introduced the Newbie guide everyone can now get proper buffs for solo, therefor alot less people party untill higher levels :)
Since i only got a C grade staff with a mana bonus, i wont be able to solo. Besides, i love the feeling of keeping a whole party alive, im just concerned that nobody can make any use of my buffs, and i therefore wont get any parties... That really was an issue back then.
I made my EE a long time ago, back then the necros and catas were crawling with newbie groups, but now i wont ever be rolling a support type again.

Kamaloka is a instance you can do once everyday. pretty much you make a party and transport in to an instance were you kill a RB like monster.
Im sure if you find the right clan you can get plenty of party, but as of now you for example dont need a healer to solo in a cata/necro in lower levels.
Not telling you to re roll to another class but you should be ready for not so many partys :)
But when you get higher up in level a EE can get a constant party pretty easy if you look for it.
I need to participate in the seven signs if i want to join an instance right?
I have no idea how i should look for a clan, especially how i should look for a good one. Besides, wouldnt people rather have a bishop than an EE? I may heal fast and have a few unique buffs, but those arent really extraordinary skills...
And even if i would re-roll a DD or tank of some sort (which ive always wanted to), soloing is really dull in L2, even if it has been made a lot easier, and faster.
L2 has a special place in my inner gamers heart, i just really want it to work this time ^_^

For Kamaloka you dont need to sign up for dawn / Dusk.
First reroll as It seems you really want to :P
Next I dont want to lie to you, you will solo alot there is no question about it.
But there higher you get the more you will party.
btw, Tanks get a really nice boost in the next update.
Well, i would really like to focus on my EE to start with, hes always been my favorit, but i just got stuck at lvl 56...
Its nice to know that tanks get a nice boost, next to healers, i like tanks the most. I just think its so much hard work, and i guess you need to be rich to get any decent equipment.
At about which lvl do you start joining parties, now a days?

Usually, when people don't want an EE, they don't want a Bishop as well.

The Kamaloka is in diffrent towns depending on what level the kamaloka it is.
The level 53 and 56 Kamaloka is in the town of Oren, you shouldent have trouble getting a Kamaloka party there.
Just shout, LF Kamaloka 53 56 and you should get an invite as you need some sort of healing for those Kamalokas.
And well parties start at any level Just that level 75+ its alot more frequent. As then people cant get buffs from the Newbie buffer anymore.
Trying to find a clan that suits you is number one I guess :)
I would ask you to join the one I am in but I am not sure how much parties you will get, and that would just hurt you in the end.
Since you called it an instance, i figured it was part of the seven signs like the necro/cata ones. I guess ill be heading for Oren then, i just hope im not too rusty.
Im a long way from lvl 75, somehow i doubt ill ever make it there, but atleast i want to try.
Can you tell me when Teon is most active on school/work days and on weekends? I see youre from sweden, so we have the same timezone (Denmark) I know if im home at about 12 pm on a school/work day, i wont find any party, but when is the best time to go looking.
Youve been very helpful so far, and i appriciate it, apparently nobody would bother to give me any advice besides you ^_^

I would guess after 6 when people are home from work, if you like I could get you in to Unity and we could help you show the ropes on how the game works if you are a bit rusty :)
And if you like it you can stay or not.
I will not be online untill later tonight but you can trie to catch Akjosch, Ycra or me Leonidar online, or any other from the clan Unity. If you like it.
Or come over to the clan page: http://www.unionally.net/
ofc you can pm me ingame if you have questions either way :)
Thats the teon section, not sure how many ppl from Teon uses official forum though.
Since i started by asking for advice in general, on how to get started, i thought general discussion was okay. It wasnt until later, the conversation became about Teon.
Thank you anyway, and youre right, not many people are actually using the Server forums that much, i checked ^_^

Well u said you were gonna play on Teon server, and some guy told you to post in Teon section.
If youve decided to concentrate on the ee then i would definately post on the teon section (ya it doesnt look that active) but if ur gonna play a ee then id have thought a good clan was the best place to start. A kama a day is a great idea but i never see ppl shouting looking for ee for kama i only see shouts "healer/buffer looking for kama"

Back on topic :)
There have been a number of changes that you should look into since you left.
Essentially, through some instances (private party playing) and better pots and newbie buffs for all chars to 75, you should find some parts of the game easier.
You will level faster.
You will not earn adena any faster.
Overall there are probably fewer players although Teon seems to have more than any single NA server.
Groups will be somewhat scarce.
Join a clan. It won't be a "top" clan cause they won't generally want you. But there should be some good 7'ish level clans of 30-50 players who aren't at the top that will be interested in you.
